"Messages" app on dock takes longer than normal to open settings Posted: 01 May 2020 11:50 PM PDT Any time I try to access the Messages icon on the dock for it's menu (i.e. I want to quit Messages or remove it from the dock) it takes considerably longer than other apps take - noticed this after updating to Catalina, anyone else have similar problems? 2019 MacBook Pro [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 May 2020 10:20 PM PDT Hi, I have the option to buy a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) for around $580. Is that a good buy? Thanks a lot! [link] [comments]

Is it worth it to wait until Prime Day sales to buy the latest Macbook? Posted: 01 May 2020 08:52 PM PDT I'm pretty certain I'm going to buy the 2020 Macbook Air this year, but I'm wondering if it's worth it to wait for a summer sale. I'm a full-time writer, so having a reliable laptop is a must. I was already planning on buying a new laptop fairly soon and settled on the Air, then I realized Prime Day is only 2.5 months away. I don't mind waiting a couple more months if the sale price is worth it, but all I have is a hunch based off last year's sales. I did some digging and last year the Air was $300 off. This would be worth the wait to me. Maybe it's too soon to tell, but I'm wondering what you guys think. I also realize there's a chance that Prime Day and other sales may be affected by the coronavirus pandemic. [link] [comments]
How well does 2012 MacBook Pro run Catalina & Windows 10? Posted: 01 May 2020 04:24 PM PDT I'm referring to the 15" non-retina one w/ 16gb RAM. Thinking about getting one for RemotePC and some light gaming. Thanks! 😊 [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 May 2020 03:20 PM PDT I got the MacBook Air back in 2014 and, after 6 years, it's simply not worthwhile to use anymore. It takes forever to open up just one application, even something as simple as Pages. Not to mention, it's honestly so outdated. I'm a full time student and I'm looking for a medium-high end priced MacBook that is similar to the 2014 version. I like a lot of the features of the 2014 version, such as USB ports and the magnetic charging cable, but the bulky nature of it can make it troublesome to carry [even the charging cable is far too long]. I am hoping to buy one that is thinner and more up-to-date, but similar in terms of how you would use it when compared to the 2014 version [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 06:01 PM PDT My input on my Bluetooth headphones and AirPods pro have bad input on the MacBook Pro 13 (2019). When I use wired I sound fine. Also my headset sounds fine when I talk on the iPad or iPhone. Is the Bluetooth not working right? I can listen to everyone fine but my input not so fine. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 May 2020 11:13 AM PDT Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask what kind of hard drive I'd need for a mid 2009 MacBook Pro and also if it's possible to replace a graphics card in a late 2011 MacBook Pro [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 01:24 PM PDT So I just got a new MacBook Air 2020, and I ordered an anker usbc hub, I've used anker before and know they are a good brand, but the hub won't charge the computer while It's plugged in through it... so I was going to order the Apple hub but the lack of ports is what's holding me off. Any adapters you guys recommend? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 01:09 PM PDT I bought a refurbished 2014 MacBook Air. On the system it says 2014 MacBook Air but when I plug the serial number into apples website it says a 2012 MacBook Air? What is the cause of this? [link] [comments]
Macbook pro mid 2015 bluetooth very weak bluetooth connection Posted: 01 May 2020 12:53 PM PDT I am trying to connect my headphone(cowin e7) via bluetooth to my mac. When I do so, the RSSI is usually -70 to -80 and I can barely hear the audio. Eventually it disconnects. I have tried a lot of things, such as restarting the bluetooth module, deleting bluetooth files and restarting the computer, and deleting something called Andriod File exchange. Is there anything else I can do? I would also like to know about the potential of this being a hardware rather than software issue. Bluetooth worked fine for a while, but then it just stopped. I forgot to mention, but no other bluetooth devices seem to work as well. I tried airpods and they do not work either. I have a wacom tablet that was working fine with bluetooth, but after a while it started to lag really heavily to the point where I could not longer use it. [link] [comments]
MacBook Air 2019 - Audio problems - Audio cuts out Posted: 01 May 2020 12:33 PM PDT I have had my 2019 MacBook Air for about 4 months now. I have noticed recently that when watching YouTube or listening to music on Spotify the sound will randomly cut out and then sometimes not return. I have tried every browser, thinking it was a safari issue and it is not. There are forums that suggest disabling Siri, which I tried and still no luck. If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2020 10:58 AM PDT Hello, I'm in the dark right now. I'm waiting for your lights to shine on a future purchase. I'll try to be as clear as I can: My needs: My current machine: An excellent MacBook Air from 2013 with 512 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM and an i7. I acquired it in July 2013. The version with the maximum options. I never had the slightest problem with it. Compared to my current needs, it is still excellent and satisfies me for most of my tasks. Nevertheless, it starts to "saturate" on long edits or when I play with effects on FCPX (Or run Photoshop and FCPX at the same time). For the rest, it does the job perfectly. After 7 years, the computer still works perfectly and yet it's only an Air model, hence my high expectations for my next purchase in terms of durability. My questions: What am I supposed to do and where do I go from here, with all these rumors for next year, I get lost in it. Here's what I've listed: What do you think about it? In addition, I need to invest in an external display, and the necessary adapters. The 16-inch is often in promotion, but it is a 2019 model, and as we are in 2020. And I watch every day, the rumors for the 13/14 inch Mai model. And you, what would you do? Thank you. [link] [comments] |
