Apple should add Web cam support to Apple TV Posted: 13 May 2020 12:39 PM PDT With the current situation and need for video conferencing with work, family, friends, Apple should add web cam support to Apple TV. Having a large screen when connecting to family and friends or teaching makes the experience so much better. Yes you can mirror your phone or iPad, Mac to your Apple TV but getting the device in the right place so the camera can get everyone in is tricky. Also controlling the video conference once you do find a good spot it is a pain. Apple please add web cam support! [link] [comments] |

Connecting 3rd gen tv as hub assistance Posted: 13 May 2020 01:52 PM PDT Hello, I've read mixed reviews on people connecting their 3rd gen Apple TV to HomeKit. Ive done all the necessary precursors like add iCloud account, enable 2 factor and keychain. When I try to go though home app, it requires a HomeKit setup code(that I don't know if I can obtain or not). Plz help. Is this even possible or wasting time? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 13 May 2020 01:09 PM PDT I'm concerned with what I'm not getting out of this Apple TV vs the newest one. This is 4th gen, and just got an OLED 4K TV with dolby vision and want to make sure my Apple TV will stream my 4K movies in Dolby Vision. Thanks [link] [comments] |
AppleTV 4K - DVB-C Stream Problem Posted: 13 May 2020 11:04 AM PDT Hi I use the app MRMC on the ATV to watch TV (DVB-C). The TV stream comes via a RaspberryPi from a TVHeadend Server with two connected USB DVB-C tuner. A Fritzbox from AVM 7580 serves as router, both devices are connected via LAN. The problem what I now see is that there are constantly picture disturbances (block formation). If I use an AndroidTV box from Nvidia instead of an ATV I have no problems. Are there any known problems with ATV and TV with a tvheadend server? Best [link] [comments] |

Very confused as what I have access to with TV+ Posted: 13 May 2020 11:32 AM PDT I recently purchased a new iPhone and so, I got the 1-year free trial which I am currently using. I am using the Apple TV app on a Firestick as my smart TV doesn't seem to have the app downloadable. I am very confused as to what I have access to. Of course, I have access to everything in the Apple TV+ channel but it also seems like I have access to some HBO shows? (GoT, Westworld). Is that a temporary thing during the current lockdown situation? What else is there free other than TV+ stuff? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 May 2020 06:04 AM PDT This is for the 4K AppleTV model A1842. For some reason, the Volume Control setting will not "stick" for very long. It reverts to "Auto via IR (TV)" every couple hours even though I manually choose "Receiver via IR". My choice keeps being overridden. It controls my receiver fine for a while but then mysteriously changes without any input. Anyone else have this issue? [link] [comments] |
