The iPhone is unlocked and when I insert my sim it shows no data. it recognizes my network TMobile but won't connect to data. | Volume on my 6s randomly shoots up to max volume Posted: 01 Apr 2020 12:52 PM PDT So yesterday the volume on my iPhone 6s randomly started shooting up to max volume without me touching the buttons. I've tried shutting down and restarting, hard restarting multiple times, and nothing has worked. I have cleaned out my case and I currently am using my phone without the case. Nothing has worked. The volume still just randomly decides that it wants to be at max volume. This is extremely annoying because it essentially makes listening to any kind of audio through headphones impossible out of the risk of being deafened at any moment unannounced. Not to mention it's super annoying playing audio out of the phone's speaker because it will randomly change on you. I think the volume up button might be partially depressed at all times, causing the issue but I also don't know for sure if that's what it is or how to fix it. Please help! Because of how much music I listen to this makes the phone essentially unusable and I really need to get at least a few more months out of my 6s before I can afford to upgrade. EDIT: I think I've deduced that the volume up button is partially stuck (I can still press it) and that is what's causing the issue. Does anyone know of an affordable way to get this fixed or should I just say fuck it and get a new phone. I'd prefer not to spend the money but the battery on this thing is going as well.... | Posted: 01 Apr 2020 07:02 PM PDT The microphone is not registering my voice using Siri (both "hey Siri" and sleep button), or voice to text in any apps (iMessage, notes, social media apps), EXCEPT on the YouTube app which works perfectly (I even filmed something using the camera just to check it still worked properly, and it did). I've tried turning it off & on, removing the case and cleaning the ports, re-enabling Siri settings, dictation settings and face recognition settings related to Siri. | Posted: 01 Apr 2020 06:29 PM PDT Earlier today my face id stopped working, then my passcode. Eventually I was totally locked out of my iphone and my apple id was locked. Apple support said I can reset it in 24 hours, but I work in health care so I need access to my phone now, so I made a new apple id. Once I get my old account up and running again, can I merge the two so I can have everything that was backed up on my old account on my phone again without having to do a reset and re-registering it again? | iPhone SE stuck in reboot loop & power button not working Posted: 01 Apr 2020 02:30 PM PDT A couple of weeks ago the power button on my 3.5 year old SE stopped working. Since then I've noticed the battery life has been getting worse. Today I went on the ebay app, at about 26% of battery, it shutdown and now it's stuck on the Apple logo reboot loop. That was a few hours ago and I don't think it's fully drained yet, but will be plugging it into the wall when it runs out. Is it fucked? Or do you guys have any suggestions? | Would getting a battery replacement stop Apple from slowing down my iphone 6s? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:26 PM PDT My problem is everytime my battery drains to 60% my phone slows down and freezes up. It only takes about 15 minutes of streaming videos on youtube (which I do all the time) before my phone gets down that far. The battery gets zapped easily and its just infuriating. But I am living paycheck to paycheck and would rather have a 5 year old iphone (which I bought on ebay for $100) than a $40 android. Would spending that $40 on a battery replacement fix it or would Apple still keep punishing me for not being able to afford an iphone 11? I really like this 6s its a great phone and I see no need to upgrade it for at least 2 more years. I want to make it work like it used to. | Posted: 01 Apr 2020 12:51 PM PDT I bought a passcode locked iPhone 5 for practically nothing. It's definitely signed into iCloud because I get the "This iPhone hasn't been backed up to iCloud in weeks" message on the lock screen. My goal was to DFU restore it on my Mac (running Catalina) in hopes to bypass the passcode and set it up as a new phone. Simple enough. Here's the snag though: I'm not sure if that will prompt an activation lock or not. The feature was introduced with iOS 7 and the phone is still running iOS 6. As far as I know, you HAVE TO update to the newest available firmware when you restore an iPhone using DFU mode as long as the firmware it's on isn't still being signed by Apple. Does anybody know if the activation locked is based on the last firmware version it was running when it was restored, or if it's based on what firmware you're running on the setup screen, which in this case will change to iOS 10? Ideally, I'd like to leave it on iOS 6 because a slate black iPhone 5 running iOS 6 is a rare find. But if I can't do that, I'd be happy updating it as long as I can bypass the activation lock. | iPhone 8 Plus Stuck on Apple Logo Bootloop Posted: 01 Apr 2020 05:30 AM PDT Hello! My iPhone 8 Plus has an issue right now that is making it useless. It is stuck on the Apple Logo from when you boot up your phone after turning it off, then after 15 or so seconds of the Apple Logo the screen turns black and then the Apple Logo reappears. Then, it repeats this process, stuck in a loop. My phone wont even boot up from this, so I'm stuck with no phone. Backstory: This issue first encountered when I went to delete photos from my camera roll. I got the warning that my iPhone storage was full, so I went to go and delete some of my unnecessary photos to free some space up for my phone. After I tried to delete the photos from the recently deleted area, the photos would not delete after I clicked delete. I tried to delete it a couple more times, and it wouldn't work. So, I gave up thinking it would not fix. I then went to go on Snapchat to text my friend, and my app would crash. I retried the app, and it would crash. After that, I noticed that every single app was crashing once I tried to start it. I then decided to turn off my phone. I booted it up, with no issue, and the issue of apps crashing still persisted, so I turned my phone off again. From there, my phone would not boot up properly and I was and still am stuck on this Apple Logo bootloop. Note: I let my phone die of battery from this bootloop and charged it to see if it was fix; but the bootloop still persisted. Thank you for your time and help, everyone! [link] [comments]  |

Screen opens when there is a notification or call but I can't do anything. I looked on net but couldn't find anything, has anyone had a problem like this or/and knows how to fix it? I'm currently wondering if the iPhone 11 Pro has better battery life than the iPhone XR or if the battery has been Okay. I currently get around 5 & 30 minutes 6 hours on screen time. I'm not a gamer, I'm usually on apps such as Facebook, Snapchat, instagram and other social media apps. Sometimes I watch YouTube here and there, but when i go out I mainly have my 4G on all the time. Which phone should I go for? As the Title says, whenever a coworker sends me a meeting invite I will get two notifications: one from the Mail app (the e-mail with a mime-attachment.ics) and one from the Calendar app: see screenshot here. Suffice it to say, the notification from the Calendar app would be sufficient... Especially since my coworkers don't seem to have this issue (different iPhones, possibly also different iOS versions) and only get the notification of the Calendar app. Anyone else has had this issue and may know a fix? | iPhone 11 Video Recording Issue:(( Posted: 01 Apr 2020 07:04 AM PDT Hi Guys It`s been a month since I bought my iPhone 11 64 gb Everything has been smooth so far till today I have noticed something really weird. While I was outside listening to music, I decided to record a video and obviously if you are simultaneously listening to music while wanting to record the sound will be off, well the the next thing I knew camera would not record (you know that timer up on top, it would not count up, let alone turn red), I had to go back to previously recorded videos and press on them but they would not play, several times, as if the video went all nuts. Afterwards I decided to give it one more try and take a photo and only after that it returned to normal. Did you guys experience the same thing? Since then I have tried and video can be recorded but you never know, I might experience the same thing when I least expect it, HOPEFULLY NOT! [link] [comments]  |
