iPhone 7 Dropping Calls/Not Able To make Calls Posted: 31 Mar 2020 07:10 PM PDT To anyone who may be suffering from the same issue as I am. My iPhone 7 does not accept, make or can even check voicemail anymore. Any messaging app that I can make a call from is rejected or fails. I don't know what the problem could be. I cannot contact siri, nor can I make voice memos or clips to my friends. It's been a huge nuisance as I rely on my phone for possible job opportunities and given the COVID-19 situation, I cannot go out and buy a phone or check the apple store for in-person repairs. I've called Apple Support about this issue. The conclusion seems to be either a software issue or a hardware issue. When I noticed this problem, I was on the older version of iOS, but upgraded it to see if it was a software issue. To my dismay, this problem continued into the new iOS. I can't determined if it's a hardware issue either as anything related to voice clips is responsive but does not capture anything. For instance, I can go into voice memos, but the app won't let me make a voice memo. I can click my home button, but Siri would not work, but the siri screen would be there asking what I want. It seems like both a hardware and a software, but I am not sure how to make sure of this. If anyone has any insight or help, please let me know. My job depends on my accepting calls and if my phone doesn't work I am out of a job. ;_; [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Apr 2020 12:43 AM PDT Running on IOS 13.4 I bought this iPad back in November 2019. Since day one, it would restart every time I would try to set up face id. I ended up getting it to work but now, when I'm using any app, after a while, the iPad just reboots. It does sort of like a crash screen. I googled this and tried all the options like factory reset, reset settings, turning off background apps, checking memory, etc. Today I did a full reset using my computer. Face ID worked great since I updated today to 13.4 but still having the random reboots when using apps. Any idea what this could be or what I could do? [link] [comments] |
(Need help!) IPhone 6s displaying it's connected to the Internet but isn't. Posted: 01 Apr 2020 12:01 AM PDT { Update!: It's been fixed :) } I own an iPhone 6s. I am connected to the Internet, but when I go into a app/something that requires the Internet, nothing happens like when it's 'offline'. I've tried searching up solutions like turning my phone on and off (Resetting it / turning in on and off that takes a while) and resetting the Network settings. Both of them didn't work and I'm struggling with what I should do. [link] [comments] |

Broken iPhone 7 Plus, can i retrieve data? Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:50 AM PDT Okay so I completely shattered my phone, basically could not use it unless I played around with the screen and used siri to send texts. Now I can't see anything on the screen or use it at all and it does not charge, but it does turn on. Once it dies, I'm not sure if I'll be able to charge it up again. When I try to plug it into the computer to do an iTunes backup it vibrates but does not charge. Will I ever be able to recover my data from this phone if I have not backed it up? [link] [comments] |
Hi, even though it’s an iPad, can anyone help? Posted: 31 Mar 2020 06:56 AM PDT iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) won't turn on I have been using an iPad Pro for around a year and a half now. I bought it in 2017, but didn't use it until October 2018 because i didn't really need it. So until December 2019, everything was smooth, and I didn't encounter any problems. However, it started rebooting randomly in December. At first, I dismissed the problem, thinking it was just a glitch because of too many background apps. However, later on, it started turning off at random times, and wouldn't turn on for the whole day. After charging it for quite a while, it would turn back on. But the problems didn't stop here It would now start to freeze then turn off, then turn back on, and continue this boot loop cycle until I did a forced restart. I then went on a trip to the USA (i live in the UAE), during which my iPad barely had any problems. But once I came back, the problems started again, but with a doubled intensity. Now my iPad turns off for days and weeks, and turns on for a day and a half at maximum. I still have no idea regarding the cause of the problem, and would like to know if others had the same problem as me, and how they resolved it. I have tried many solutions we could find on internet, including things such as "burping" my iPad. Theories: I established quite a few theories regarding the cause, and they will be sorted by most realistic to less realistic from up to down: 1- The battery is faulty, which apparently was a recurrent problem in the 10.5 inch model, but I checked my battery health and it was at 88% of its maximum capacity, with a year of near inactivity and a year of mid to heavy activity. 2- I have a malware on my iPad which runs when connected to WiFi: In the US, I would keep my iPad on me for safety reasons, and as stated before, it had little to now problems. What is worth noting is that the hotel WiFi was a public one, which means when I left the hotel or when I would turn my iPad off the WiFi would disconnect, and I was mostly touring the streets, where once again there wasn't WiFi. In the UAE, I am connected to my home WiFi, which is a private one, and my iPad stays connected to it even when the screen is off. 3- All my cables and plugs were faulty and fried my iPad. In France and the UAE, the electrical intensity deliver by the electrical sockets is around 230-250 V, whereas in the US it is around 100-120 . Therefore, the electricity delivered by the Emirati and French sockets fried my iPad and left the battery fucked. This final theory is something I came up with in a moment of pure despair, especially in times where I cannot being my iPad at any kind of repair store for health and safety reasons. I anyone could help, that would be amazing! [link] [comments] |
Brand new factory iPad mini 5 wont download software Posted: 31 Mar 2020 09:39 AM PDT Infuriating problem. I bought an iPad mini 5 straight from the Apple website. Everything was running smoothly until it went to download iOS 13.4. It is stuck on downloading the software but isn't actually downloading. I'm connected to WiFi. It has been like this for over an hour. I factory reset it 3 times. The iPad is useless until it downloads the software and I can't use it. Does anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:52 AM PDT Before you ask, battery health is at 100%. Recently, it has been turning off at random around 12-20%. This is with very light use during the day. I have had the phone for 6 months. Is the battery already dead? It still says 100% battery health. The phone will be at like 15% and just shut off, then show the apple logo, then go black. I will plug it in and it will take a good 2 minutes to turn on after that like it had been dead for a long time. Can't really replace it due to current situations we are in but any suggestions to make it stop doing this? Edit: I also noticed that in the battery health settings, it doesn't say the phone had an unexpected shutdown, even though it clearly shut off before even 10%. [link] [comments] |
iPhone 11 Pro Max home gesture randomly lags and fails Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:37 AM PDT I'm wondering if my iPhone is defective. Having owned the X and the XS previously, I'm very familiar with the gestures. As soon as I got my 11 Pro Max, I noticed that randomly, when doing the gesture to go home (swipe up from the home bar), the animation would stutter/lag, resulting in the multitasking (card) view instead - as if I swiped up and held. At first, I assumed I swiped wrong or my finger was cold or dry, but it started happening more and more. I've tried with or without screen protectors. The only thing that seems to briefly help is a reboot. Then after a short while, it starts happening again. Now it's to the point where it's driving me crazy. I got my phone back in November, so I can't blame any iOS updates on it. I've tried Googling for this but no one seems to be experiencing it. I'm not even sure how to effectively search for it. The best way to describe it is that about one out of every five times when I swipe up to leave an app and go home, the animation stutters and instead it goes to the multitasking view. I've been paying close attention to make sure I'm doing the gesture correctly. I've tried doing it faster or slower. It doesn't really make a difference. I'm at the point now where I'm going to resort to calling Apple, but I'm pretty sure they'll have no idea. I just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this before going the support route. I should also note that I tried some of the suggestions people had for the 2018 iPad Pro's touch issues such as turning on touch accommodations, but nothing helps. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
iPhonr XS Max not wirelessly charging Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:26 AM PDT My iPhone XS Max used to wirelessly charge on my ESR wireless charger perfectly fine, but has suddenly stopped charging on it. When I place it on the charger, it doesn't charge and the wireless charger shows a flashing red light which appears when there is a problem while wirelessly charging. Other devices wirelessly charge perfectly fine on this charger. I tried restarting my phone and updating it but still hasn't fixed the problem. Is there anything else I could try? [link] [comments] |
Old/Non-existent Alarms keeping going off. (iPhone 8 Plus 13.3) Posted: 31 Mar 2020 04:20 AM PDT I can't even begin to explain how annoying this is.. can anyone help me out? It has nothing to do with (Bedtime) and no calendars are synced. I can't find any help online :( [link] [comments] |
Insurance won't repair my phone, without previous repair receipt Posted: 31 Mar 2020 07:56 AM PDT So I broke my screen last week and claimed on my insurance. However, they said because I previously had a screen repair on my phone before taking out the policy, I need to provide proof I had it done before I took out my policy. A friend of mine fixed my screen last time so I am unable to get a receipt, what can I do? [link] [comments] |
