    Hey /r/AppleWatch,

These past few weeks have been very hectic for everyone, but please don't use this as a reason to invite arguing and flame wars into posts.

Recently we have taken off our Joined the Club rule and relaxed on removals of My Watch pictures tremendously. We get that not everyone likes it, but time and time again, our most commonly top up-voted are those same pictures. We also get the fact, a lot of us are stuck at home and thus as a result, the chance of you seeing these "boring" watch pictures is very high.

However that is not an excuse for you guys to constantly be sarcastic and bash on other users. This is a time when a lot of people probably aren't able to be as optimistic as they'd like, so getting some support from new looks/activity achievements is very important, please don't take it away from them just because you feel the need to shut another user down. We're not asking you to up vote it and post supportive comments(it'd be nice...), but to ignore it if it is not your thing.

Other users: Please resort to reporting posts of such nature, we have new active mods and while we can't promise a super quick turnaround, we will get to it by the end of the day. A few are resorting to replying back to comments, but more often than not it tends to escalate. We've done a lot more removals in this past week alone than normal(I'd say this would be similar to total comment removals over several months) and will now be considering this as a warning for everyone. We realize that some users are also circumventing bans to continue doing so, and this is a formal reminder that it is against Reddit's TOS.

To close, the Mod Team is always willing to discuss new ideas in Mod Mail. While we can't guarantee specific changes sent to us, it will at least open up a discussion that can be used in the future.

-Your /r/AppleWatch Mod Team, stay safe out there!

    Activity App Question

    Posted: 08 Apr 2020 06:58 AM PDT

    Hi,

Is there a way to tell the activity watch when I start an outdoor run instead of waiting for it to pick it up and ask if I am on a run? I have seen online about swiping over in a spot but haven't been able to figure it out yet.

    Is cellular service worth it?

    Posted: 08 Apr 2020 04:42 AM PDT

Hey everyone question on what you guys think about the cellular service on the series 5 watch and if its worth it. I want to buy my wife a new watch and we have sprint which now has the apple 5 on sale for 10.42 for 24 month payments the only issue is you have to pay for the cellular service on it as well which is another ten bucks a month. Do most of you use the cellular service or go without it. Thanks it advance for any helpful info

    Activity Question

    Posted: 08 Apr 2020 08:09 AM PDT

After I complete a work out does it automatically send a notification to my friends who I share my activity with? I always get those, "X just completed a workout!" but not sure if those are automatic or they directly send those to me? Thanks!

    Stainless Steel worth it?

    Posted: 08 Apr 2020 07:10 AM PDT

I'm switching back over from a Garmin (I'm a runner) and looking at AW S4 and S5. I have a Garmin Fenix 6 right now, and I like the peace of mind knowing that I can bang it on some of my garage shelving or wear it during yard work and not feel like I have to baby it. I had an aluminum AW S3 before and it got the heck beat out of it, which is why I switched to something a little more rugged.

But I'm really finding I'm missing the Apple Watch experience, especially for running and working out.

My question: is the stainless steel worth it for the 4 or 5?

I can find a stainless steel 5 for $450 and a SS S4 for $350. Seemingly a good price, compared to the Garmins I've been looking at!

Owners of the milanese loop. How's the comfort?

    Posted: 08 Apr 2020 05:54 AM PDT

    Hey guys!

I'm thinking of picking up the milanese loop for my S4.

Is it worth it and how's the comfort?

    Thanks!
