iPhone 11 Pro camera roll issues Posted: 05 Feb 2020 08:33 PM PST Hi all My iPhone 11 pro, when I take a picture it doesn't go to any album. Same thing with screenshots. Also when I delete pictures, 5 minutes later they reappear. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice? Thanks [link] [comments] |
My mother’s friend died and his voice message just deleted? How can I get it back for her? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 10:09 PM PST Hey! Can anyone please help?, my mother's friend died recently, she listened to his voice memo/verbal text and a countdown started that told her it would delete in two minutes. By the time she googled how to save one it deleted already. Is there anyway she can get it back? :( [link] [comments] |
Wife thinks her employer has hacked her personal iPhone Posted: 05 Feb 2020 04:29 PM PST My wife constantly complains that she thinks her employer has hacked her personal iPhone X because the President of the company (small software company in Silicon Valley) constantly brings up things that she has been talking about in personal texts, phone calls, or even web browsing activity in some passive aggressive way and it's just too much of a "coincidence". I personally think that it's absurd—even if her phone was somehow hacked, why would she be singled out and who has the manpower or hours in the day to sit and read through personal text messages about vacations and mundane personal phone calls, just to use the random info against her in some passive aggressive way? About a month ago her Gmail account was hacked and a couple family Christmas photos were sent out to her entire contact list. She's adamant it's her employer. Doesn't make really add up to me though. We've actually been in a few arguments lately as she sounds like a conspiracy theorist to me and she now wants to hire someone to look into her phone and possibly pursue legal action dependent on the outcome. Can someone that is knowledgeable about this please tell me if I'm way off base here or does she have some legitimacy to her claims? [link] [comments] |
Iphone 11 doesn't work with my (aging) car stereo, but friend's iphone 10 does....please help Posted: 05 Feb 2020 07:35 PM PST Having no luck googling for this answer... My truck has an oldish Pioneer stereo system in it which has a USB port. USB works great with my ipod nano 6th gen. I recently switched from android to an iphone 11 running ios 13.3. When I plug the iphone in via lightning to USB cable I get no reaction on either end. The stereo won't recognize a USB connection at all and the phone doesn't even charge. However! Quite maddeningly when my friend plugs in his iphone 10 running ios 13.3 with the same cable, my stereo immediately recognizes his phone as an 'ipod' and plays perfectly. He isn't aware of anything special he's done in the settings. Please help. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2020 05:45 PM PST I've checked to make sure do not disturb is off. Every time someone calls me, it barely rings, and is rejected, goes straight to voice mail too. Any ideas of what it could be? [link] [comments] |
Reminders App: Will factory reset get me back to the old version? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 01:26 PM PST Yes, I stupidly accepted the iOS notification to upgrade my Reminders app to the latest version without realizing that it would break my sync to my Mac of which I cannot upgrade to Catalina for professional reasons. Yes, I know there were like five warnings, and I'm aware I make fun of people for thumb-fisting their device screens without reading all the time... egg on face, what can I say? In short, can I do a factory reset of the phone to get my syncing functionality back on my Reminders app? Apple really screwed the pooch with this one. (me too, actually...) [UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Apple, and they said that if I erase my phone, and restore to a backup dated before I upgraded the app that I will get the old version back. Doing that now... I'll report back if it works. ...I'm skeptical.] [link] [comments] |

“Software Update will be Auto-installed” notification every 30 seconds. Posted: 05 Feb 2020 12:50 PM PST This has already happened at the last update and now it has started up again: the notification that the new software update will be installed tonight on my iPhone XR is literally popping up every 30 seconds. It is incredibly annoying and I can't figure out why my phone does it. Anyone else experiencing the same thing or have any ideas why it might be happening? I DO want it to tell me when a new update will be auto-installed, but kindly only once. The update in question is 13.3.1. [link] [comments] |
Calendar Repeating Event "Virus"? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 12:48 PM PST So I've been looking online for the past few days and everything I find seems to come from 2016 and doesn't work. So I was swiping out of unused tabs, and a pop up notification came up saying (I think?) to add something to my calendar. I was swiping through several tabs quickly, so I must have tapped "yes" or it's "add to calendar" equivalent, because now I have a ton of repeating events in my calendar as spam ads. There are anywhere from 3 to 6 ads a day. An option doesn't appear to edit or delete these events, and they don't show up in my mac's calendar or iCloud. They show up on whatever day I'm on and the next day. Is there anyone that can help me out with this? I don't want to factory reset my phone, but that's the only option I can really think of right now. [link] [comments] |
Battery capacity didn’t change after replacement, cannot figure out how to calibrate battery Posted: 05 Feb 2020 01:21 PM PST Hello! I recently got a battery replacement for my iPhone 7 (iOS 13.3) and was told to use my phone until the battery drained. When I checked my battery capacity after replacement it still said the same thing as before I replaced it. I tried to recalibrate the battery and let it charge to 100% overnight, but when I checked my phone's battery capacity this morning, it was still at 70% capacity. The battery is working as it should and lasting long, but I was told that I would not have issues with inaccurate percentages and battery capacity after replacing my battery. I also figured that maybe I made a mistake when calibrating because in all the guides I read it said not to turn your phone back on after it drains, but when I charge my phone it automatically turns on. Could this be why my phone battery didn't calibrate? If so, how do you prevent your phone from turning on when plugged in to charge? If not, how do I fix my battery capacity and percentage so that it is accurate? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2020 12:13 PM PST I recently got an iPhone 11, last weekend, and with around 5hrs screen on time I use around 60-70% battery. Is this normal for a brand new iPhone 11? [link] [comments] |
Bluetooth Hearing aids and sounds Posted: 05 Feb 2020 09:08 AM PST Hey everyone, I have a problem and I do not know how to correct it because I do not know exactly what went wrong here. Up until iOS 13 came out, my bluetooth hearing aids (Oticon Xceed 2 BTE) used to get ALL sounds delivered to it - text alerts, email alerts, type sound, basically any noise the phone could make, it'd go to the hearing aids). After 13 came out, the only sounds I can get now are when the phone rings or when I play music or games. I can use my hearing aids to hear when I talk on the phone, but other than that, I get no alert sounds sent to my hearing aids anymore. In settings, under Sounds and Haptics, everything is toggled On, all the settings have specific default tones on, keyboard clicks, lock sound, system haptics, these are all enabled. In Hearing Devices, my hearing aids are properly paired, and all settings are enabled. I don't know what went wrong and I honestly miss hearing the alerts through my hearing aids. Because not only did it not bother anyone around me (they couldn't hear my alerts at all), it made it easier for me to know when I get a text message if I put my phone down or turned vibrate off. Can anyone help me fix this, please? I know I probably did not explain the problem very well, but I hope there is a solution. Yes, I did try unpairing my hearing aids and then re-pairing them. Posted: 05 Feb 2020 02:40 AM PST Looking for some advice about iPhones! I had an iPhone about two years back that was working completely fine. I went away on holiday and put it in a draw in my room to keep it safe. When I came home, the iPhone was completely dead. Would not charge, switch on, show any signs of life! I had so many photos stored on there that were not on my most recent iCloud back up (I had more than what iCloud storage would let me back up). I believe they may have been on older back ups though. Can anyone help at all? Any advice? Is there a way I can restore an old back up to a different iPhone to try and find the photos? Thank you in advance!! [link] [comments] |
