What unexpected thing do you find most useful on your Apple Watch? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 03:10 PM PST I was choosing a new watch face today and was thinking of which complications I use the most. I realised on all watch faces I create I add the weather temp with the min and max temperature showing. The reason being is when I get my son ready for bed or nursery it helps with knowing what to dress him in. I didn't think when getting the Watch it would be something I use as much as I do [link] [comments]
The 40 vs 44 question, but different perspective (eyesight) Posted: 22 Feb 2020 05:07 AM PST I've read lots of posts if "40 or 44 looks better on me" but curious if any real difference in readability, especially for someone that uses reading glasses occasionally? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Feb 2020 06:08 AM PST May not be for everyone but I have been using the "auto launch audio apps" in the wake screen options and it has been amazing. Works well with podcasts, spotify and audiobooks. Also, really like that it does not interfere with workouts [link] [comments]
Apple Watch + iPhone X from China Posted: 22 Feb 2020 12:45 AM PST Hello everyone, So I got a new AppleWatch series 5 for my gf, and when she is trying to pair it with her phone she gets an error message that her phone is not connected to internet and won't open the camera to pair the watch with the phone. Her phone was purchased in China but it is unlocked. We checked with another iPhone also from China and it has the same issue. It works perfectly with my phone, though. Mine was purchased in the US. The Genius Bar technician said that it's the problem with the region and there is nothing they can do and I'll probably need to get a new watch from Apple.com.cn :( To add to that, even Watch apps look different on my and her phones. Mine simply says "Start Pairing" on the button, and her says "start pairing using camera". I was kinda able to trick it by opening a 3D Touch menu of the watch app on her phone and hitting connect. This opened the camera and we were able to connect it and set everything up successfully. However, later that night at around 8 pm the watch disconnected suddenly and we cannot pair it back with the phone again:( Does anyone know what else I can do? The Genius guy was suggesting that we go to T-Mobile and ask them to do "carrier unlock" but I'm not sure how it is going to help... Should I just get another watch or a new iPhone for her or there is a way around it? Thanks and sorry for the lengthy read! I would appreciate any suggestions! [link] [comments]
Most comfortable watch band? ♀️ Posted: 21 Feb 2020 11:27 PM PST What is the most comfortable Apple Watch band you have owned? [link] [comments]
Apple Watch w/o iPhone for Activities Posted: 22 Feb 2020 07:30 AM PST My grandpa wants to keep track of his health (steps, training, heartbeat, ECG) and his doctor recommended a Apple Watch to him. He doesn't own an iPhone though. Is it possible to use the activities without an iPhone? Also will his doctor be able to read his ECGs without an iPhone? If not is there any Smartwatch with the above mentioned features for android phones? [link] [comments]

Apple Watch Series 3 not getting watchos6 Posted: 21 Feb 2020 09:49 AM PST Hi, i have an Apple Watch series 3 paired to an iPhone XR. The series 3 was replaced by Apple, because my old series 2 was bricked when I tried to update it to watchos6 developer beta, so I got upgraded for free. Now since I can't see the update I'm not sure what to do, I don't want to risk getting my watch bricked again. In settings it says Watchos5.3 - your software is up to do. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:57 PM PST Can you guys recommend me health applications? Recently downloaded AutoSleep for night. Any other good apps? Not necessarily workout. [link] [comments]
Got lotion on the crown, used hot water to rinse off = water seal damage? Posted: 22 Feb 2020 12:02 AM PST I used water that was just hot enough that it became too hot if you touched it for too long, pouring directly into the crown crevices and what not, turning it from all angles to really make sure i melted away whatever lotion might have gotten in it. Is it possible to severely damage the water seal material from a few instances of really hot water followed by cold water to cool the device chassis back down (just to keep the temperature low between the times it was under the hot water)? After the whole process of doing that i submerged it in fresh cold water and let it sit, changing out the water twice out of boredom lol. everything seems to work fine but the mind does fun things to convince you somethings wrong lol, so i thought id ask for some other opinions. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:20 PM PST I'm trying to find an email app that is more advanced and has more features than the stock mail app. I love using Edison mail on my phone but I'm kind of disappointed because it doesn't have an Apple Watch application. Is there any email apps that are also available on Apple Watch that that are similar to Edison mail? [link] [comments]
I’ve been having a lot of problems with my Apple Watch recently and wondering if there’s a fix. Posted: 21 Feb 2020 04:06 PM PST So I have a 42 mm series 3 Nike watch and it's been giving me trouble these past few months. After an update (I forgot which one) I noticed that the battery life went from 2 days to almost not even a days worth. And shortly after that I decided to turn it off since I had to for school and it wouldn't turn back on. It would cycle through the startup and show the Apple logo for a bit, then disappear and keep doing it over and over until it dies. Once it dies I'm finally able to connect the charger and it will turn back on. I talked to Apple support and they said to get a new battery to fix the issue with that, and to bring it to a store and they would charge me $79 for a battery and $159 to fix the other issues. That is crazy considering that comes out to $238, and you can get a new one on their website for $229. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:31 PM PST Hi guys I'm currently in a competition with a friend on my AW but I don't get how the scoring system works. They say 1% = 1 point. But my friend got today a total of 309% and has 600 points (maximum). I have 481% and only 482 points. We're currently on day 4 has that something to do with it? or is it just bugged? Question about water with the Apple Watch S4 Posted: 21 Feb 2020 07:23 PM PST I've been using the Apple Watch since September and have never used it under water or in the shower for example. I always see people at the beach or at the pool with it on but is it safe to do so? I've heard it is waterproof to a certain extent but I'm not sure how much, also have heard a few people having problems with water damage with their watch. So is it safe to use it in water or is it better to try and stay away from it in general? [link] [comments]
Sport band dupes that feel like the Apple ones? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 12:19 PM PST Does anyone have a recommendation for a third-party sport band that feels the same as the Apple ones? I've bought a few off amazon that feel kinda... sticky? (For lack of a better word). They pick up a lot of lint and feel kinda gross on my wrist. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 02:41 PM PST So, I brought my watch to Apple store. It's been unused for like half a year I think but is cosmetically fine. Battery was completely discharged even after a 10 hr charge. Flashing Apple logo and all. I had the battery replaced last night and it powered on fine, screen worked and everything. Then I did a reset to wipe the data (I bought it mid 2017, gave it to my sister in 2019, she gave it back now) and pair with my XS with 13.3.1. Prior to the wipe, it had my sisters texts, apps, etc. It told me to update it from like WatchOS4? Or 5 To 6.whatever and then during the install it randomly went to the red exclamation mark. Like around a quarter of the way through the dotted lasso which surrounds the Apple logo. I'm assuming it's a software issue yeah? I tried to hard reset it multiple times to no avail. The store employee told me it would only be a charge if the tampering caused the issue or if it was for example water damaged. Software related issues are free but hardware related shit would beee like 199.99 which in that case I should just get an s3 lol. Would something like changing my battery cause the issue in their eyes? [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:16 PM PST Almost every time I check my watch the compass is open. Even if I have a different app open and have closed the compass app when I look back down the compass is back. [link] [comments]

Syncing podcasts/music with two AWs? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 01:05 PM PST I use an old Apple Watch while I sleep with AutoSleep which works great, but I'm realizing that this means that my main watch isn't being podcasts/music/audiobooks while I sleep since the phone is technically paired to the old watch while I sleep. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions or hacks to get around it? [link] [comments] |
