Early 2015 11" MacBook Air Battery Design Capacity? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 03:38 PM PST Hi! Shopping for a used early 2015 11" MacBook Air. Would be super grateful if someone with this model could tell what Design Capacity says in coconutBattery? A screenshot of coconutBattery would be considered a bonus. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Macbook clock doesn't match iphone/ipad/other macbook clock Posted: 28 Feb 2020 10:27 AM PST Macbook clock is always about 2 minutes off what my other apple devices display. Clock is off when I choose the option to set timezone automatically, and when I set manually to match up with other apple devises it eventually gets off track again to be about 2 minutes off. I realize 2 minutes isn't a big deal but it frustrates me and I was wondering if this has happened to anyone or if any one has a solution. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 09:26 AM PST I've just got a MacBook and after playing around with settings I've managed to get messages to be received from my phone number instead of iCloud email. However when my MacBook and phone are on at the same time I don't receive a message notification now on my phone or MacBook unless I manually go on it? [link] [comments]
Mac-Windows Shared Folder over LAN Issue (Privacy) Posted: 28 Feb 2020 08:31 AM PST A little background, I am a photographer who has a studio setup. So I have successfully made my 2015 Macbook Pro as the host (SMB Share) for use over my Local Area Network (LAN) to be accessed by one of my editors on his/her Windows laptop. I have selected using the Sharing option in Apple System Preferences, ONLY ONE folder (Named: "MAC SHARED") to be shared on the network. The connection is successful, as we could view, read and write files, of the "MAC Shared" folder on the Windows machine. My main concern is, on the Windows machine, not only can I view, read and write files of the "Mac Shared" folder, but I can also do the same with my Macbook USER folder on the Windows machine. How can I make this stop appearing or from being accessed by anyone on the LAN? I only want my editors to access the only shared folder I created and opted, "MAC Shared" [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 12:57 PM PST Do you think the early 2013 15 inch macbook pro will receive updates after this year? while it is old it still beats a surprising amount of the new MacBooks or its at least comparable to them in geek bench 5. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 12:40 PM PST Anyone having issues with sound since upgrading to OS Catalina? Bluetooth streaming from itunes sounds like the speed of music has been turned down? [link] [comments]
Is buying a New MacBook 12 inch- i5- 8GB - 512SSD a good idea in 2020? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 12:28 AM PST Found a nice deal in a retailer. No video editing only will be used to learn both Xcode and Adobe creative suite, not intending to be a full fledged programmer nor designer. Thanks strangers ! [link] [comments]
Why is MacBook Pro 13-inch 2016 Keyboard so bad? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 10:41 AM PST Out of the box when I got my MacBook Pro in 2016 the keyboard had issues with keys being "soft" and not quite registering. Since I mainly used the system for browsing the internet the keyboard wasn't the most critical part of the system but months later when I saw that there was a recall and my system was eligible I had it sent in for repair. When I got it back things were better but it didn't take long before certain keys were feeling soft again and not regularly registering being pressed. Most prominently, it has been the E key each time. I've used compressed air, pressed and wiggled the key, and other things that I've found on the internet and it just seems like at random the key will bounce back to regular, reliable behavior not as a direct result of anything that I've tried to do to fix it. Since I've already participated in the recall I can't really go back to the store and have them replace it again, is there anything that I can do to reliably fix or even prevent these keys from having problems? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 09:54 AM PST Hey guys! I am planning to buy MBA 2019 version but there are rumors that apple is going to release a new version next month. Just curious to know if the news is true or not? Please give me some advice whether I need to wait for a new version or just go with MBA 19. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 08:49 AM PST I currently have a 2015 13" base model MacBook Pro. It does fine for regular tasks like web browsing and basic video editing, but it's starting to show its age. Like a lot of other retina users, I was clinging to my MacBook for dear life until I saw the new 2019 16" MacBook Pro. I'm considering upgrading, and I'm planning to keep the MacBook I buy for 4-5 years, as I will be majoring in film or computer science in college (I'm currently in high school), so I want to be able to do some editing on my machine. I've been looking at Apple's website and I was wondering if I should either upgrade to the i7 base model, i9 base model, or if I should look at some used options. What do you guys think? Will Apple still replace the butterfly keyboard is other components are damaged? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 12:03 AM PST I have a crack in the bottom bezel of my 2019 13" MBP (my fault, I pressed too hard when flicking some debris away). The keyboard doesn't have major issues yet ,but I was wondering if Apple will still replace it under the repair program if there is external damage. I've heard that they sometimes use any other issues as an excuse to not repair things under warranty, even if they aren't related. [link] [comments]
Used MacBook with AppleCare Protection Posted: 28 Feb 2020 03:24 AM PST I have just bought a used MacBook from a reseller. Checking out the serial online, it has one year left on the AppleCare Protection plan. This isn't the standard one year one at time of purchase but an extended one. Google says I need to get a change of ownership done but I don't know who it was originally sold to so can't do that. If I need to use it at the Apple Store, will Apple even check this? For example I think this model is effected by an SSD recall issue. Some mixed information online, with some saying it will just travel with the device. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
