I have a contact that won’t permanently delete Posted: 28 Feb 2020 04:31 PM PST So I delete my ex from my contacts, yet when I go to send a message and type A(first letter of her name) it keeps showing up. How would I permanently delete this? [link] [comments] |
lines of different colors on my phone screen? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 10:18 PM PST One day I picked up my phone and as I turned it on, these green vertical lines gradually showed up on my screen and got brighter and larger . Then they disappeared. Then, they reappeared and have been changing color, size, and places of appearance almost every minute. Something to note though is that it isn't immediately on my screen when I turn it on. My phone begins normal, then the lines start forming, so it's probably an internal problem. any advice ? [link] [comments] |
Stolen iphone, Find my Iphone, Deactivated Device - Need Help Answering question! Posted: 28 Feb 2020 09:34 PM PST Hello everyone, Here's a sad event with my iPhone. Tried jacket on (not in dressing room) at a store. Phone gets stolen immediately. I notice it's gone and immediately go on my friends iphone, I see the person is blocks away. I turn on lost phone mode and put a message. I call them (my lost phone) using my friends phone, so the person can obviously see the contact name. I got a call from them and for 20 seconds I heard just outside noise. I suspected they could have breached my password in 30 minutes and called me to alert me they accessed my phone as a taunt. Or, they just did siri and didn't need a password to call me. But, if they wanted to return it–why not just give it to the store employees instead of booking it ASAP if not to steal it and sell it. I deactivate my iphone after all this in quick succession. I am still in the store during this time. Now, I can't see my iphone on FMI because it says it's offline when I go back home. I do notice an orange lock sign is next to my iphone. Does that mean it's properly locked and no one can access my text messages, apps, and private information? I put lost mode again but it says it's pending, for what I assume is because the phone is not connected to internet and the cellular data is deactivated because I deactivated the phone line. I can't put "Erase data when phone connects to internet" because I don't know my security question answers and it sends a password to my iphone which is currently not in my possession to reset security questions. I hope locking my phone is enough. Am I okay? I'm scared for my personal information. I hope they just erase the data and sell it. Some people tell me I should report it to the police, but I don't even know where to find my serial number for my phone, and I'm like...man filing a police report for a lost phone is real tedious. Viewing data from an incomplete iphone backup? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 06:39 PM PST Long story short...phone glitched out and I needed to factory reset iphone and restore with a backup. Sadly my last complete backup was around a year ago and I was able to load that data onto the phone without error. I happened to have a backup more recently (2 weeks ago) that for some reason or another did not fully complete (I might have just unplugged it). It has about 75GB worth of stuff in the folder compared to the working backup which is 90GB. I want to try to get the data out of the unfinished 75GB backup, is this possible? Using 'iphone backup extractor' it comes up as a backup named as 'unknown type, unknown backup' and says it could not determine manifest format. Is there a way to get around this or extract stuff like pictures manually? [link] [comments] |
iPhone 8 continuously searching for service Posted: 28 Feb 2020 06:20 PM PST My iPhone keeps searching for service, and when I open up my Cellular in my Settings, nothing pops up. I've tried removing my SIM card, but even with the SIM card removed it still says searching. Not sure what to do. [link] [comments] |
Moved from Android back to iPhone now text messages are a mess Posted: 28 Feb 2020 01:48 PM PST I recently moved back to iPhone (11) from Android (Pixel 2). When doing the data transfer to the iPhone I choose to transfer text messages. Not everything did transfer (totally fine) - but what did is a total mess. Two major problems: time stamps - if i happen to go and look at a historical message it refreshes the last time stamp to the current time and therefore it appears at the top of my feed so messages that i just received an hour ago could easily be 10-15 messages down if i happen to look at something else. Currently 2/3 of my messages are listed as received 'yesterday' with just a few having more realistic historical dates missing messages - often I'll receive a message from someone who I have a chat history with, and then when I go back to look at messages/new message/send a message to them, the more recent message is missing Thoughts? this has become a real pain. Other System Data using up all my storage ever after reset Posted: 28 Feb 2020 02:14 PM PST Hi, My phone was being really weird and no apps were loading so reset it back to factory mode. After doing that I look into the iphone storage in settings and i still see that 57 out of my 64 gigs are being used up by Other Systems data. I can't restore my phone from backup because this takes up all the data. Does anyone know how to fix this? [link] [comments] |

iMessage un-downloads picture messages Posted: 28 Feb 2020 07:23 AM PST Title is self explanatory I suppose. Pictures in my text conversations keep saying "tap to download." I'll go into the info tab, click download from cloud but a few days later they'll be gone again. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Feb 2020 11:57 AM PST Since I have synced and turned on my apple watch, I have been having trouble with playing audio from my phone. When I go to select output for audio the only option that it gives me is headphones. I don't have any headphones connected via Bluetooth, aux, or dongle, which leads me to believe that the watch is interfering with the audio output priority. If anyone knows how to solve this issue, help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to only sync certain contacts between iPhone and iPad? Posted: 28 Feb 2020 11:48 AM PST Is it possible? For example only to have my wife's and kid's texts and/or calls show on both devices? Both my iphone and ipad use the same apple id. I don't want all my other contacts on both devices (currently all calls/texts come through on both devices). When I'm home, I usually leave my phone on my nightstand and have my ipad near me. iphone 11 pro max on ios 13.3.1 ipad Air (3rd gen on ipados 13.3.1) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 11:18 AM PST Every since I updated my iphone 7+ to ios 13 siri has failed to respond to voice commands and sometimes will just take years for it to respond. I tought it is from my phone but I have this problem on my old 6s and on my 2 day old 11 pro. Any help with that? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 07:04 AM PST I have an iPhone 6 which I know is an older one but I still want it to work, lately my alarm hasn't been going off, I'll have notifications on and volume up and set a lot of them and only one will go off. Then like today, an hour or two after they were supposed to go off my phone would play the alarm I had set and a banner would drop down saying "14 missed clock alarms" and it's really annoying as the alarm goes of randomly and not in time to wake me up as I need. I'll sometimes get random notifications from other things like at about 8 am I got a notification from 1am saying something about the battery being taken out of low power mode. Why is it doing this and how do I fix it? [link] [comments] |
My iPhone 7 (new) can’t run 4G (only 3G) Posted: 28 Feb 2020 07:00 AM PST |
I recently got a new iPhone X as my old one broke but dark mode isn’t working. Posted: 28 Feb 2020 02:35 AM PST As the title says I received a new iPhone as a result of my old one breaking, so I went to settings and re-adjusted things as they were before. However, I went to turn on dark mode and it wasn't available as an option in display and brightness in settings or the control centre and it's got me really confused, so my question is how do I turn on dark mode? Btw I'm on IOS 13.3.1 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Feb 2020 06:14 AM PST Having issues one of our clients who has an iPhone sends me(Android) a text message. When he sends it he instantly receives a blank/empty message back and the text does not reach my phone. The messages are sending as Text Messages not iMessages. Tried turning off and back on iMessage. [link] [comments] |
