    I temporarily installed an iMessage (Game Pigeon) app on my phone. However I am finding I cannot delete it now. Every tutorial online says the press "More" in the app drawer, then swipe to the left to delete the app. Should be simple? But the app doesn't show up unless I press "Edit" in the top right corner, in which case I cannot delete the app, rather enable or disable it, but I want the app completely gone.

    Additionally, if anyone knows how to get rid of Memoji stickers, that would be appreciated too :)

    Edit: Nvm, I figured it out. You have to enable it, then remove it from favourites, Then delete it. Am dumb. I'll leave this here in case anyone comes googling with the same problem. Unless mods want to delete it.

    I think the price I got it for is a steal. I got it for in 350, the only issue is it has staining from delaminating anti glare which I've heard a lot about but I looked up some ways to fix it and have heard great results from it. Anyone have experience with it? Regardless, I think 350 for this machine is still a great deal. Charger included. Im coming from a 13inch 2012 i7 with 8gb of ram, which is also cracked as well.

    How much do these MacBook go for in 2020?

    You think I'll see a huge improvement over my current 2012 MacBook ?

    Again, also just curious if anyone also had problems with the anti glare staining and how they removed it.

    internet recovery installing sierra error

    can someone help? I do not know what it is saying either, as i bought it in hong kong. It gets this error. I wiped my macbook pro recently, and i have been getting this error trying to reinstall sierra every time from internet recovery mode.

    Unable to connect to wifi, says "connection failed"

    Edit: I think I have found the problem. It's my dongle!!! What should I do now??? :(

    I've been unable to connect to wifi since yesterday, but all of my other devices can connect. Whenever I put the correct or any other password, it says "connection failed." I can connect to the neighbor's wifi but it would drop me.

    Here are the things I have tried:

    • Reset router

    • Disconnected and reconnected to wifi

    • Ran Network Diagnostics

    • Restarted laptop

    • Restarted PRAM/NVRAM

    • Restarted SMC

    • Safe booted

    • Deleted/forget network, and added wifi name and password

    • Deleted specific System Configuration files

    • Changed DNS

    • Added a new network location

    (Will edit and add if I remembered other things I've done)

    The only thing that worked was after restarting PRAM, I was able to connect and Reddit for 3 minutes then it disconnected me again.

    This is seriously frustrating me. I can't give you an Etrecheck (I need to download) or update to Catalina because no internet, so I'm not sure what else I could do right now 😓 I'm sure the wifi password hasn't changed cause I'm not prompted nor disconnected to my phone at all.

    I got some audiobook downloads, I can play them in itunes on PC but not actually add them to itunes to add to my iphone?

    Can't sign into or out of icloud on Macbook, however system keeps prompting me to sign in.

    When I enter my password and sign in, it keeps asking me to sign in. When I click sign out, doesn't sign me fully out and it keeps asking me for my password. I'm in iCloud Purgatory. Our Father who art in heaven please help me escape this hellish nether region.

    Help! Dropped iPod touch, now it won't turn on.

    Hi guys! I need help! I was listening to a podcast and accidentally dropped my iPod touch (7th gen). As soon as it hit the floor, podcast stopped, and screen went black. I tried holding down the power button, and nothing. Also tried holding down both the power and home buttons down. Still nothing. It's plugged into my computer right now, but it's still off. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

    HELP: Discovered someone installed a remote VNC on my computer

    Hi guys,

    I'm not highly computer literate but I made a discovery today that I'm really disturbed by.

    Backstory: I was given a free macbook pro 5 years ago from a man who I had previously helped out with cat sitting. I stopped when he made sexual advances towards me/ I discovered cameras installed inside his house when I was staying there watching his cats. This was a year or so after he had given me the computer and I didn't think anything of it.

    Fast forward to today, a coworker was using my computer and found that it was sharing all data, screen sharing, and camera sharing from a remote login/VNC. He had access to everything - Screensharing, my laptop camera, files, remote login, etc. I've turned all of these off, but if you click them his VPN comes up again. It's listed as vnc://t.robinson.27.localdomain/

    Throughout this time, I've thought my trackpad was broken as occasionally my mouse will move on its own around the screen, windows open without me clicking on them, etc. Could this have been him active on my computer?

    I guess my main questions is - By turning this off does he still have access to my computer? How can I shut off his access completely? I feel really violated by this and the fact that he might have been watching me remotely for years. I fall asleep with my computer open to netflix, I've taken some not so PC pictures with the camera, and I have all of my passwords saved/bank info/etc.

    I'm really appreciative of any help - This was definitely a wakeup call for my cyber security but at this point I don't know what to do other than burn this computer with fire and get a new one (which I can't afford).

    hello, recently my apple pencil's double tap feature has not been working. i would like help. i own an ipad pro 2018 with an 11 inch screen. my current software IPadOS 13.3. my apple pencil is the second generation. all of a sudden my pencil just stop working, i don't know what happened. can someone please tell me what to do? i tried powering on and off my ipad, disconnecting and reconnecting my pencil, and delete and reinstall the app that i was using, but still none of that worked.

    My Speaker isn’t working and i don’t know what to do

    my speaker sounds super muffled and sometimes there is no audio, i think there is water inside and i have tried using all the methods (shortcuts, audio vibration, and even sucking it) and still the audio is completely gone on my right speaker someone please help (IPhone Xr)

    I can’t free up iCloud storage

    I deleted all but 2 conversations, turned off backup for messages, and deleted the data from the iCloud. Why isn't the storage going down. My messages was taking over 5GB, it should've went down. I also deleted some apps and the data from the apps from iCloud and from my phone. Why it no work?

    Throughput speeds on an eight-year-old Time Capsule

    I'm using a Time Capsule from approximately 2012 as my wireless router and backup drive. I just upgraded my internet service from 75 mbps to 200 mbps, and I'm wondering if the Time Capsule is capable of actually delivering faster speeds to wireless devices.

    Obviously it won't be 200 mbps, but is the Time Capsule going to be a limiting factor? I can't find anything online about its throughput speeds.

    Two new issues on MB after unexpected absence: "Cannot Connect to App Store" and Messages not syncing with iMessage

    I was unexpectedly away for 3 months in the hospital. When I left, my MB was left on. It shut down on its own (not because of an issue, but because of inactivity -- this has happened before so I believe it's normal on the newer machines).

    Anyway, everything seems to be working fine (thank goodness) except for two things.

    1. I cannot connect to the app store. I opened it to do updates (and Updates works), but all the other tabs (Discover, Create, Work...) say "Cannot Connect to App Store" with a retry button that doesn't do anything.

    2. Messages aren't syncing with iMessage. I obviously have hundreds of texts from my hospital stay from my phone, but it has not since updated with my MacBook. In other instances if I was away (e.g. for a day or two), it would just sync when I turned it on. Is there any way I can get this synced up? It syncs now and I do not use iCloud messages, just forwarding.

    I updated to the latest Mojave and restarted my MacBook, signed out and signed into everything, et cetera. Thanks!

    College student seeking advice for an old macbook pro (2013), unsure of what to do

    I have not used my 2013 macbook pro in a VERY long time (have been a chromebook user since 2017, and my chromebook has been giving me problems lately) and I went to go charge it today and the green light won't even go on the charger when it is plugged in. Unfortunately I have no idea what operating system it is running. Should I scratch the dream of this laptop working again or is it a battery/charger issue? Is it even worth it to look into a repair since it is so old? I had the battery replaced in 2016. Thanks, just trying to avoid buying a new laptop!

    iPhone 7 Random Shutdown Problem PlsHelp

    Hey guys, I own an iPhone 7 Jet Black 256gb model and I've owned the phone for 8 months now (July 2019). Near the end of October time I've seemed to realise my iPhone randomly shuts down with a white bar going in a horizontal direction with a black background before the screen goes completely black. Then the startup screen comes up with a white Apple logo and black background as usual. But I have a fear since it's been doing this for the past few months that it might be clearing out my photos video and important apps and data.

    My one theory which I think could be the cause is that my iPhone can't handle that much data. The reason for that is because my photos app itself right now has 13,403 photos. These include memes funny videos and family pictures. I also have movies in the files app. Even though my phone is 256gb I don't think a phone that old like mine can't handle reading that much data while in use.

    Someone pls help from in this sub-red. Sometimes I would get sooo angry that my phone would shut down that I just want to throw it onto the ground. Also this hadn't been happening for the past month as much tbh but just these few days it's been frequent, like 7-8 times a day this would happen. Pls help anyone.

    Airpods Pro or Apple Watch Series 4?

    For my birthday week, I decided I would treat myself to either Apple Watch Series 4 or the Airpods Pro. Problem is, I'm not sure which to get. I've heard great things about both products.

    A few details about the other Apple products I own: I have an iPhone XS Max and an Apple TV, and so far I have been using regular wired Earpods for music listening. How much better are the Airpods Pro than the Earpods in terms of music quality. Is there much of a difference or is the difference just noise cancelling? (Btw, I'm a major bass freak)

    MacBook Air won’t turn on

    My MacBook Air won't turn on. It is an early 2015 model. I left it on for a while, charging, and when I came back it had the loading screen as if it were updating or restarting. I turned it off to see if I could try and restart it, but now it won't turn on anymore. I've tried all the button inputs that I've seen all across the internet and none of them work. I've seen that I might have to open up my computer and take the battery out for a couple seconds and replace it, but I would prefer not to. Are there any other suggestions?

    Notification sounds on IPhone X won’t stop!! How do I get rid of them?

    It all started with the "Backup failed" and "ICloud storage is full" notifications popping up every 30 seconds. Now they're somehow gone but the notification sound remained. I can't silence my phone due to my alarm clock, but otherwise I can't sleep or even listen to music normally!!

    OnePlus 5T and Airpods Gen 2 - LOW VOLUME after latest Airpods Update (Android Issue)

    Hey, I've had the Apple Airpods gen 2 since release, and it had the original firmware on there since it was released, and worked fine with my OnePlus 5T. I let my brother borrow them and he has an iPhone, it automatically updated to the most recent update 2A364 (December 19).

    This has now caused the Airpods to play at around 40% of what it used to play it, max volume is just about loud enough where as max volume before the update was deafening.

    I have read online on a couple of threads that people with the OP 6T and above just updated their phone to Android 10 and it fixed the issue, but unfortunately the 5T does not have that option available yet. Has anyone with a OnePlus phone before the OP6 managed to fix this issue?

    I have fiddled around with the 'Absolute Volume' option in the developer settings, as well as the 'Volume Sync' under the Earphone Mode settings, but had no luck.

    Any help would be VERY much appreciated as I feel like I have half a product now.

    (Also, is it possible to downgrade the Airpods firmware? I can use my brothers iPhone X if needed, thank you)

    Mojave update notifications without using System Prefs? (OCD, annoying Catalina nag)

    TL,DR: Does anyone know of an email, Facebook, Twitter, [anything] subscription that will notify me when Mojave updates are sent out by Apple?

    Hello!

    So I ran this in terminal to ignore the Catalina updates in System Prefs:

    sudo softwareupdate --ignore "macOS Catalina"

    Which worked like a charm! But the only problem is that in the Apple menu it still says "1 Update Available" and there's a red badge of annoyance (r.b.a.; OCD) on Sys Prefs.

    I found the command line to remove the update notifications and r.b.a., which you have to run every time you boot (hint: use an Automator app that runs on boot):

    defaults write com.apple.systempreferences AttentionPrefBundleIDs 0 && killall Dock

    The problem is, I still want to be notified about Mojave updates, and I'm pretty sure this command will kill all update notifications (except maybe the banner? Not sure).

    So as a back up plan, does anyone know of an email, Facebook, Twitter, [anything] subscription that will notify me when updates are sent out by Apple?
