Posted: 06 Dec 2019 07:06 PM PST So I'm looking to buy the macbook pro 16 inch but I do have some questions. I'm a programmer so I want to know if I can run jetbrains tools like intelij and androidstudio. Also can I run microsoft office (like word or excel) and if not what are the alternatives And what are some good accessoires to buy with it. And some good keyboard shortcut Thanks in advance. Spilled coffee on it - now it’s sticky Posted: 06 Dec 2019 10:40 PM PST As the title says, spilled coffee on my work laptop and the keys are sticky. They work but not super well. Is this something Apple would help clean and fix? It's a 2018 Pro! [link] [comments]
Did I get a decent deal on a used Macbook? Posted: 06 Dec 2019 09:45 PM PST So recently I just got a used MacBook for 690: It's a 2015 Macbook Pro with a 500GB SSD, Iris Pro 1536/AMD Radeon R9 M370X, and 16GB Ram. Nearly perfect cosmetic condition. [link] [comments]

Searching good games run on the 2019 MacBook Air? Posted: 06 Dec 2019 05:29 AM PST Hi, for work reasons I'll be separated from my PS4 and will have to spend some months in another country with only my 2019 MacBook Air 13'. So obviously I try I'd to find something I can have that allows me some fun and entertainment in the probable not that rare intervals without work. My mind jumped immediately to Civ V (I'm aware that civ VI wouldn't be possible), but I can't be sure if civ V would run? And then this idea struck my mind: why not ask you guys for good recommendations? On the computer I never played very action based furious clicking games, I played Age of Empires, rise of nations, civ IV and V, Chamionship manager, and later Football Manager. So I guess I'm more of a strategy king of guy. On the os I play a bit of everything from RPGs to fighting games, racing... but I would only play those if I Gould use a PS4 remote with the mac (which I don't know if it's possible). So, doesn't anyone have good suggestions? Or do you think the civ v for mac would work? I'm open to receive all your wisdom Thank you in advance UPS forgot the specs: CPU: 1.6GHz i5-8210y Graphics: Intel HUD Graphics 617 Ram: 8Gb Storage 128Gb [link] [comments]

MacBook Air - 10th gen quad core update 2019? Posted: 06 Dec 2019 08:02 AM PST Back in August and September there were many rumours about an updated MacBoook Air (a second update even). Has there been any development regarding this at all? [link] [comments]
Need advice on choosing 13” mbp Posted: 06 Dec 2019 06:53 AM PST I am planning to buy the 13 inch macbook pro (2019) and noticed that there are the base model and slightly faster model. I am planning to use the laptop primarily for coding (xcode, android studio, and possibly others), access my pc at work using remote desktop and light photo editing. And planning to use it for long term (4-5 years) After watching and reading reviews, i've come into conclusion that the base model is value for money than the slightly faster model which has much better speakers and ssd. My problem is that I think i need a sizeable storage for my files. For example: my sdk folder for android studio is roughly 50-70GB and i don't know the xcode equivalent, since i want to start learning using the new laptop. The best way would be order a custom base model with >= 512GB storage, but in my country i can't order a custom spec macbook (no official apple store here, both online and retail). Both retailers and online stores (3rd party) only sell the pre-configured models. And ordering from abroad is out of the question. Now i narrow down remaining choices :
The price difference here is about US$400-500 From those two choices which one should i choose regarding my circumstances and use case plan? Notes: yes, i'm stuck with 8GB RAM option [link] [comments] |
