She hasn't updated her iPhone in quite some time (XR) and the locations services showed the AirPods as being in our house on Tuesday morning before she put them in on her walk to school. Now it simply shows them as offline. My question is: is there anyway to tell if the AirPods have been wiped? We're not sure if this is even possible but I assume it is...we really don't expect to get them back but she hasn't given up hope of them magically appearing online/trackable. [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 5s compatible with series 4 or 5 apple watch? Posted: 06 Dec 2019 09:07 PM PST Stupid me got my gf an apple watch series 5 GPS for Xmas (still in box) without checking if it's compatible with her iPhone 5s. I did some searching and found out it's only compatible with 6 models or later running iOS 13. Her phone is currently at version 11 with an option to upgrade to ios 13. Does anyone know of this setup will work? I can also return it and get a series 4 GPS but would still need to update her iOS because that requires 12 or later. I also read somewhere that iOS 13 doesn't support older iPhones as well. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you [link] [comments]  |

| Need help. I turned off the downtime settings that were on my phone, and now my apps wont appear. Posted: 06 Dec 2019 01:50 PM PST I turned off the screentime, including all the downtime settings, on my phone last night. I went to bed and when i woke up this morning, all my apps were still gone, as if downtime was still active. I've reset my phone, and when i got to the page where all my apps usually are, they were all installing again. But when the apps finished installing, they would disapear again. | Boot Camp Failed Causing 50GB to Disappear. Posted: 06 Dec 2019 04:33 PM PST I tried running Boot Camp (I've successfully done this before). However, this time, after windows installed, BC was no where to be seen, nor did any of the drivers install. I restarted and brought me back to MacOS without the option of booting in windows. I opened BC again it gave me an error message and is allowing me to run it again. This time, however, the original 50GB allowed where not freed up, making my storage capacity smaller. I want to delete that phantom windows install, but I cannot locate it anywhere. Any help is much appreciated! [link] [comments]  |

I'm worried that if I migrate them over, the computer will end up duplicating them with iCloud drive sync. I have my desktop and documents folders on iCloud, among a bunch of others. I changed my password twice and it's still there. It says I have to deregister it from iMessage with a verification code, but again, it's not me. I'm getting a call from Apple support tomorrow as the chat couldn't help me so now I'm here. Is there anything I can? Does this person have access to anything on my account or phone? | Issue with cropping screenshots ( iPhone X, iOS 13.1.3) Posted: 06 Dec 2019 09:22 PM PST I've had this issue for a while and I don't know why this happens or how to fix it. If I take a screenshot and try to crop it, the changes will often not be saved and I will have to open my photos and crop it again. I would say the photos don't stay cropped 3 out of every 4 photos I try to crop. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know of any ways to fix this? [link] [comments]  |
| Apple 6s lost all contacts upgrading to ios11 Posted: 06 Dec 2019 09:22 PM PST Hi my girlfriend has an Apple 6s. She updated to ios11 and she lost everything. Her icloud wasnt set up to sync anything besides pictures. Is there any way to recover anything? She is primarily worried about her contacts and notes. Genius bar said the update was too strong for her battery and caused this issue. That does not make much sense to me. Phone will do calls fine, but struggles to send texts unless its on wifi. So, I created a new volume, and installed mac OS Mojave in it. But I'm now noticing, that the new volume I created has access to my main one. Nothing happened today it was working and charging yesterday. I don't remember if the charging light came on when I plugged it in earlier today. Iit died while playing a video (wasn't watching it to see if a low battery came on) but now it wont turn on or charge, when I press the battery button I see it blink empty (one light) should I just buy a new charger and hope for the best or is there another option? I took the opportunity to check out the 11 Pro at both stores. First, I took a portrait photo of myself with the rear camera and by the time that I had turned the camera over and looked at the screen, the image was still processing. Oddly long time, I thought. Then I went to Target and I noticed the same thing - the picture took a long time to process. I had heard of this same thing happening on the Nokia 9 Pureview. Much, much worse on the Nokia but still long enough on the Apple to make you notice. So, how often does this happen to you? Does it only happen when shooting certain types of photos like portraits? Posted: 06 Dec 2019 03:53 AM PST I've read that fast charging can put a bit of stress in battery health, so I've been charging my iphone 11 wirelessly. But recently I came across some comments about wireless charging can be degrading as well. Are we stuck between a rock and a hard place? What's the less degrading way? This is super annoying because I literally copy and paste all day. I just ordered a new computer (not because of this) and plan to use migration assistant to move my files from a time machine backup, but I'm afraid that I might transfer over this bizarre behavior. Is there anything you can think of that might cause this? I've uninstalled every app that I can think of that could cause this without success. Trying to make an easier keyboard shortcut to open and close the "sidebar" in safari for bookmarks than ⇧⌘1 I am changing a keyboard shortcut that doesn't seem to work... System preferences>keyboard>App shortcuts I have added a Safari.app>Hide Sidebar ⌘B It occasionally works but not consistently...I think it works if I click the view dropdown, but not when using a page normally. No idea why or if I can follow a better procedure to access this command? Do I need something to signify the command is in the "view" menu dropdown? Is there a methodology that will allow me to open and close the sidebar bookmarks with a keyboard "user assigned" single shortcut? [link] [comments]  |
