| Is 128GB storage enough for a creator? Posted: 14 Oct 2019 12:23 PM PDT So here's my situation: I'm a college student in The Netherlands and I need a new laptop since my 1-year-old €999 Windows laptop from Dell just went dead for no reason after the warranty expired and I'm thinking of moving to the Apple side (yes I'm not willing to fix my old PC because the price tag for a new motherboard is nearly as much as a new laptop!). However, I can only afford 128GB MacBook Pro or 256GB MacBook Air (both are €1399, the 128GB version of the MBA is €1199 and the 256GB of the MBP is €1699, such horrible pricing). Which one should I choose as a creator? Besides studying, I'm a photographer, videographer and designer. I edit my RAW photos really frequently, and once in a while I shoot and edit videos with 1080p footage from my DSLR (but I always colour grade everything). If I stored everything (photos & videos) on my 3TB HDD external hard drive, would 128GB be enough for me? How much space do Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere take up on your devices? Or should I just went to buy the 256GB MacBook Air instead? Please reply! I've looked on internet and i reseted the MSC but now the computer is not responding. I've tried to charge but even the light doesn't work. I don't know what to do, any suggestions? The screen works, it's just not aesthetically pleasing. The black rubber surrounding it is also peeling. I've searched online and DIYs suggest buying a bezel replacement but I can't afford that now. Posted: 14 Oct 2019 11:02 AM PDT Weird, weird issue that I cannot explain - if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be as much interested as grateful! My Macbook has started only charging with its USB-C cable one way around (i.e. one end *must* be in the power brick and the other end *must* be in the Macbook). When the "correct" way around, it charges without issue. When the other way around, it simply does not charge. This even occurs with other USB-C cables, both Apple and non. Speculation welcome! | macbook full of bugs, how can i fix them? Posted: 14 Oct 2019 10:54 AM PDT Bug 1: Youtube on safari. Its all buggy, the only alternative i know its using google chrome, that is nice too for synching on my Pc Windows, but it drains 3 times the battery comparing to safari. I dont use firefox cuz they say it performance worse, youtube buggy again, and overall less quality than google chrome. bug 2: mail app keeps popping while i surf the internet. im not alone that has this issue, and its a big issue, and its not a new issue, how can i report it to Apple? bug 3: sometimes when i return to my browser from my desktop, the dock instantly compare and it stops like that, instead of hiding, so i need to pass the cursor down for hiding it. thanks i have macbook air 2018 10.14.6 version. now i update... | Posted: 14 Oct 2019 09:46 AM PDT So every time I try to download Catalina from the System Preferences - Software Update I don't see the Catalina update notification and it just says "Your Mac is up to date - macOS Mojave 10.14.6. And when I try to go to the App Store and download it from there, it says "Update Not Found - The Requested version of macOS is not available".
