iPhone X help: Delete suggested contacts (Maybe: person’s name)

    Posted: 02 Sep 2019 12:00 AM PDT

    Hello all,

As the title suggests I am hoping to delete suggested contacts names. There is a a phone number in my message list who I no longer have contact with, and would much rather prefer not to see their name. Even when I delete the messages, they still appear as a suggestion if they text me. I have deleted the contact but it is still showing up as "Maybe: the persons name."

I have gone and turned off Siri search and suggestions for contacts in the settings but it is still appearing. This is rather bothersome for me, as the name will continue to pop up long after I have deleted the contact and even if I receive a message from this person. If anyone has any advice, it would very much be appreciated.

Is it possible for iPhone Battery Health to be rigged?

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 09:12 PM PDT

So the battery on my iPhone 6S would go down by the minute and wouldn't even last a half day. It showed 92% battery health but I figured I should have it replaced, so I went to a local repair shop and got a new battery installed for like 40 bucks. However, despite the replacement the new battery drains just as fast.

Is it possible that the repair shop just rigged my old battery health to 100% without replacing it? Realizing now, I didn't even get the old battery back. Just wanted to know if that's even possible. Thanks a lot!

iPhone hasn't been giving me iMessage notifications while on silent

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 08:31 PM PDT

Hey folks, so I got a new iPhone XR recently, and since I got it, I've been having sporadic issues with getting notifications for iMessage.

I keep my phone on silent throughout the day, but would always receive a vibration to alert me of a new iMessage, while the screen would also light up to tell me the same.

At first, the notifications were relatively constant, but after a few days, they stopped coming, with no vibration and no screen notification to alert me of a message. The lock screen notification still shows up, but I'm not aware of it until I actively wake my phone and see that it a message arrived a long time ago.

I'm using 12.4.1 iOS software, but frustratingly, this isn't an ongoing issue. Often, it won't vibrate, but then when it does, I think the issue is fixed, only for it to neglect notifications again minutes later.

I'm not using Do Not Disturb mode, my phone has the 'vibrate on silent' setting activated, and I have a vibration set for iMessages. I'm really at a loss as to what I can do here, because I'm frequently missing messages and becoming more and more frustrated as time goes on.

Again, just to clarify, this isn't a case of me receiving no notifications at all, this is a case of my phone only giving me some notifications, with no apparent reason as to why only some are showing up and some aren't.

My iPhone is at 76% maximum capacity and shuts off at 18% battery. Also it went from 79% battery health to 76% battery health in a matter of days. Is my phone/battery on it’s way out? Ik about battery replacements but that might be a waste if I just end up upgrading soon.

    iPhone music question

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:34 PM PDT

When I shuffle music on my iPhone X I get the same 50 songs. I have 24 hours of music stored on my phone. Is there a way to get the shuffle option to sort songs a little more randomly?

    Save Audio File from Internet

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 11:09 AM PDT

I've had this question for a while now. How do I save an audio file from google chrome or safari onto my phone?

Whenever I open an audio file onto a new tab like a poscast or mp3, I can play it but I don't see any way to download it.

Helloo, any kind soul out there

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 03:20 AM PDT

    Hello!

Recently, i kinda dropped my iphone7 plus, and since then, i have not been able to make any call (the call attempt just cancels on its own after the first ring)... Also, when i plug in my earpiece to the device to watch a video, the sound comes out from the speaker rather than through the earpiece.

Any expert here able to make sense of what might be the issue? And the possible remedy to this?

    THANKS!

iPhone 8 has had some weird issues recently coupled with terrible battery life.

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 10:51 AM PDT

In the last few weeks my iPhone has had some weird issues. It will randomly crash or freeze on a screen and make me have to force restart. I got my screen time notification two weeks in a row and my screen on time has been over 24 hours for both of them (already impossible but double impossible because I turn my phone off for work). Couple this with an insanely low battery life and I'm wondering what's going on with my phone. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

is there a way to unlock iPhone without entering the password on the lock screen ?

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:57 AM PDT

basically the touch screen on my phone is almost completely broken, I want to unlock it to be able to use accessories. I've tried Google already it only shows info for bypassing the password (and didn't work btw) I'm not looking for that, I know the password lol. can it be typed in using computer or something?
