Don't you think that we need Whatsapp app for iPad? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 12:48 AM PDT Whatsapp on Safari is useless, no notifications at all. And when you multitask with Safari you have to scroll left or right to see the whole web application. How can we make them to create an app for iPadOS? [link] [comments]

Simultaneously control iPad & Macbook Pro with Macbook Pro Trackpad? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 09:05 AM PDT Hey all, I've been trying to search for an answer to this over the past week with no luck. I know the Duet app is popular but as far as I know, the iPad mirrors the MBP and there's no access to the iPad operating system e.g. notability, goodnotes, etc. Trying to find a way to use my iPad and Macbook as dual monitors allowing the trackpad to cross monitors while retaining full access to the iPadOS on the iPad & MacOS on the MBP. Thank you in advance! [link] [comments]
Me complaining about note taking apps Posted: 22 Sep 2019 10:40 AM PDT I'm a quite heavy user of note apps. Up until now I've used Notability and Goodnotes5 for quite a while and decided to share some of my thoughts for those still looking for an app. First of all both of them have their strong and weak sides. file managment Goodnotes wins; its files management is slightly chunky and heavy but gets the job done, it's basically identical to how folders on computer work. I'd call file management on Notability bad, it only allows folders and subjects (no folders within folders of any kind) and moving a subject always puts in in a folder (which is SO frustrating) + there's no "files" home page like in Goodnotes. importing files Notability wins; its overall smoother and deals really well with A4 pdfs as well as PowerPoint slides; +If you add a page it's as wide as the other pages, GoodNotes just throws in a page that might be twice as wide as the ones in the given file you're browsing. browsing No winner; while scrolling on notability is smoother, and pages follow each other with no gap (there is a gap on Goodnotes, and if you scroll when zoomed in, the page will move sideways), it doesn't have a "big picture" of all pages to quickly scroll trough longer files (which Goodnotes does have). ————these points are more of a personal preference pencil input Notability wins BUT Goodnotes does the job just as good; while it lacks a "undo" gesture and the highlighter goes over the text instead of under it (those things are present in Goodnotes), writing just feels better on notability, it's more natural and the strokes are more fluid in file management No winner; while notability has a very smooth copy/paste system that just works better than the one in Goodnotes (it seems like you can't cut parts of pictures which is a pain), Goodnotes is amazing at making shapes (dedicated tool) and filling them with colour faster than notability. my conclusion While using both apps I really found myself missing features for the other app quite often; I really wish they mixed them and made an ultimate note taking app. I noticed I mostly use Goodnotes for exercices in subjects like mathematics and physics where I didn't need jumping between files or copying things from them (as you need to use the scissors tool on a pdf, screenshot what you marked, save it in photos, and only then insert it as a picture in the main file...). Notability on the other hand was much better for annotating files (better browsing), recording the audio (as goodnotes doesn't have this feature) and working on two files at the same time (which is impossible on goodnotes). At this point I'm tending towards putting all my files to Notability but I decided to wait for IPadOS, as Goodnotes will get a major update with it (or soon after it). Sorry if the post is a little bit messy, maybe someone will need this kind of comparison to decide which app to use. Also if at some point my ranting doesn't make sense correct me please ! Posted: 22 Sep 2019 02:01 PM PDT Does anyone else struggle with using blackboard on Safari, Chrome or the app? When I try to use it on Safari or chrome the page always starts to twitch or it won't let me scroll to the bottom so I miss out on 1/2 of the information posted. I've tried the app but it's usually missing a lot of information especially in the assignment tabs. Like it has the button to submit the assignment but it's missing the assignment description or any documents that the professor uploaded to help us with the assignment. Has anyone found a way to get it to work? [link] [comments]
Ipad(2018), Ipad Air 2, or Ipad Pro(2016)? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 01:58 PM PDT I had a mini 2 and now I am looking for an upgrade. I am on a very steep budget(set by by mum lol). I found pristine versions of the aforementioned Ipads for under £300. Which one would I be better off getting? I will mainly be using it for reading comics, books and occasion watching movies. Posted: 22 Sep 2019 01:39 PM PDT I bought iPad mini 5 at Apple store. After tunring it on, the initial battery percentage is 43%. Whenever I buy mobile decies, the initial battery percentage was 80~95%. I am just wondering if there is no problem like it is a refunded item or it has a battery issue. [link] [comments]

Any app that can stream (play) PC games on iPad that are not on Steam? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 08:27 AM PDT I use my iPad Pro for pretty much everything now, except for one game I played on my Windows laptop. I know you can play Steam games via Steam Link, but what about other PC games? I'm planning to use a keyboard and touch instead of clicking with a mouse. [link] [comments]

iPad pro 10.5 inch keyboard options other than Apple/Logitech? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 11:56 AM PDT I recently found out my iPad Pro 10.5 inch Apple smart keyboard is no longer working for me after two years. I took it to the apple store and had one of the employees exchange my keyboard cover with a newer keyboard cover and the newer keyboard cover connected flawlessly. I have been wondering why my cover died in two years as I usually take good care of my stuff. I realized that I write on my iPad a lot via digital note taking while having the keyboard cover flipped under it. I am thinking this may have been a factor throughout the years of adding pressure onto it. I never liked it when it was on the bottom anyway because there was one part of the cover that would angle downward while writing but it was just convenient not to take it off and on. This leads me to my next question. I have been researching on the options of keyboard covers for the iPad Pro 10.5 inch. From what I've seen, there isn't much quality versions. The only versions I've seen that are worth getting are the Apple one (again) and the Logitech Slim Combo. Many other versions connect the keyboard via bluetooth and I do not want that. Please tell me there are other great options for the iPad Pro 10.5 inch if you know any. For the Logitech Slim Combo, it just seems too bulky with the keyboard to even consider it a slim case. I dislike the major branding on the kickstand and the case on the ipad itself seems bulky itself too. As for the Apple smart keyboard, its great that it is slim but I don't think it is meant to write on when it is folded onto the backside of the iPad pro. Any other suggestions/recommendations, please share. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Sep 2019 11:47 AM PDT I have an iPad Air 3 on 12.4.1 and currently waiting for the OS update this coming Tuesday. My PS4 is in the living room, and I'd like to be able to do remote play to my TV in the bedroom using my iPad via screen mirroring. I'd imagine that using airplay to my Firestick on the TV, I'd get some latency between directional input from the controller and movement on the TV screen. How's the latency with using a lighting to hdmi adaptor if I want screen mirror the PS4 remote play on my iPad to the TV? Anyone tried something similar on beta? [link] [comments]
Unable to set wifi as metered? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 11:22 AM PDT The iPad we use in my shop for our squarestand register downloaded an os update yesterday using up the remaining metered wifi the shop has for the week. We now have to hotspot the register from our phones until the 28th. Does apple really have no way to set a connection as metered? Normally we take the iPad home and download updates there, but since this update breaks the square stand we didn't plan to update. Boy was I surprised when I got the notice our data was gone for the month. [link] [comments]
iPad and Android phone file transfer? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 01:18 AM PDT Hi, I bit the bullet a few months ago, replaced my 7 year old MacBook Pro with an iPad Pro! So far I'm liking the iPad more and more! The only issue I'm finding is the fact I have an Android phone. Does anyone have any tips for swapping files easily between the devices... Being able to transfer photos and videos easily and quickly would be so helpful for my job! Is it possible or is the answer to go back to an iPhone to use airdrop? I'm not really against it, I used to use iPhone but swapped to android due to the rediculous price of iPhones! Cheers [link] [comments]
Who else would love an iPad Pro Keyboard Folio dbrand skin? Posted: 22 Sep 2019 10:49 AM PDT I love the ease of use and don't mind the typing experience of the Smart Keyboard Folio (despite how damn loud it is,) but I hate the material used on the outside of the case. It picks up everything on the surface it gets set on, and gets gross quickly. I would love a dbrand skin for the outside of it, would spice up the look of it and would be much better than this material that is used. [link] [comments] |
