    Hi all,

    I purchased a carrier-affiliated iPhone 11 pro through the Apple Store app at launch and picked it up on Saturday. After a few hours, I realized I didn't like it as much as I thought I would and wanted to opt for an iPhone XS instead (sounds stupid but the iPhone 11 Pro triggers my trypophobia, go figure).

    I went to the Carrier store who informed me that they can't process the return because it was bought through Apple and that I should go to them. They also mentioned that the Apple store should reset my upgrade eligibility. Fast forward to the Apple store. They can't help me in person because they say it's a carrier affiliated iPhone and have me call Apple customer support. I spend close to an hour on hold and talking to a host of people who don't quite know how to help me. They eventually say that they'll email me shipping labels within 48 hours to return the phone to their distribution center.

    1) Has anyone else experienced something like this? Apologies for being tilted, but it's crazy to me that neither the Apple store nor the carrier can accept a return in person.

    2) in Monday evening I called back and said I didn't receive any labels. I proceeded to spend another 2 hours on the phone on hold, being bounced around to different departments and having to explain the situation to numerous people. Finally, I was told again that it would take 24 hours to get the label.

    3) it's been another 24 hours and I still have received anything. I'm going on a work trip soon and am really nervous that I'll miss the 14 day return window and be stuck with this expensive phone.

    iPhone 11 - one quirk with Messages when switching from SIM to the eSIM

    file this under lesson learned!

    With my iPhone 11 -- I am fully prepared to take advantage of the ability to have 2 phone numbers attached to the device. My carrier, T-Mobile, now supports the ESIM (which is just a digital sim card built into the phone) for post paid (monthly billed) accounts.

    My plan is to move my primary number to ESIM and then keep the physical SIM slot open so that I can put an Xfinity Mobile sim there.

    Anyway, I completed step 1 in this process today. I moved my T Mobile number within the phone from the physical SIM to the ESIM and removed the physical sim card thus freeing it up for future use. Everything went smoothly. I did have to scan a QR code on the Tmobile website to complete the process. In that process I had to re-register for iMessage. I did not notice until later on that all of my recent iMessage conversations but not regular text messages were gone. I did not have iCloud Messages back up turn on in my Settings. For some reason I never liked that feature but may warm up to it. Anyway -- none of the missing iMessages were really important.

    So if you switch from a SIM to the eSIM and your Messages matter -- turn on the iCloud Messages back up!

    EDIT: The messages did reappear once I tried to send each of the 3 people a new message. Weird how they hid like that.

    Need help - Can’t stop fraudulent Apple Pay charges

    My girlfriend received her Apple Pay card in the mail about a month ago. She never activated it.

    About two weeks ago, she started getting fraudulent charges on it. She called customer service and they said the charges are coming from a linked account on her iPad; she didn't make these charges.

    The customer service will not remove the charges, nor will they stop further charges from being made so they keep being made. One unauthorized charge tonight was for over $500.

    Really frustrated by the lack of support on this costly issue.

    iOS configuration//HELP is this configured? This is apple analytics. I think an ‘enterprise app’ is configured, along with some safari network settings & whatever NANDINFO for iMessage is. I’ve been obsessing for weeks. Somebody help?!

    I factory reset my Mac and I’ve been waiting for OSX Mojave to reinstall. It’s been stuck on this screen for almost three hours now though and I’m not sure what to do.

    Desktop Cloud Photos Possibly Destroyed Trying to Transfer

    I was transferring photos from my desktop to an external hard drive that were in the desktop cloud and after they were moved they wouldn't appear on my hard drive(possibly because they weren't downloaded to my computer first) but are also not on my desktop anymore. Is there any hope of recovering these files?

    Help please

    Hi everyone! I would really appreciate some help with a problem I'm having with my iPhone (XR). I just erased all data on my phone to restore it. Although i can receive text messages from individuals, i can't receive texts from websites and such. I'm trying to sign into my accounts again - like google docs, etc - but the two factor authentication doesn't work! I'm not receiving text messages with codes to sign in. The cellphone number on my accounts with the two-factor authentication is correct. What's wrong with my phone?

    General says I have an extra app (6s)

    I was looking in settings > general > about and I noticed it says I have 12 apps. I have more than that, so I assume it's not including the base apps that come with the phone. (I've also deleted quite a few of the base Apps like GarageBand and things that I will never use because they just take up space).

    I only have 11 that I myself have downloaded and installed. Where is this extra app coming from? I'm honestly scared. My phone isn't jailbroken, and only the expected apps are showing up in the appstore under "purchased".

    Is this something to worry about or am I freaking out for no reason? I updated to 12.4.1 from 11.4 not all that long ago, and the "measure" app was added. Could that be it?

    Edit: I deleted measure. It wasn't measure. I also deleted one of the apps I know I installed since I never use it anymore, and general immediately updated to 11 apps when it should now be 10.

    I'm legitimately freaking out here

    Siri reading incoming text messages

    I was using iOS 13 beta and Siri used to read my incoming text messages through my AirPods. I've recently erased my beta profile and I'm now on the public iOS 13.1 and Siri is no longer reading incoming text messages. Is this only working in the beta or am I overlooking a toggle to turn this on and off?

    MacBook Pro 2014 & aura pro x2 ssd

    Just did a clean install of Mojave 10.14.6, my Mac doesn't seem to be taking advantage of the boasted disk speeds. Does the 15" Mid 2014 support the aura pro x2 ssd?

    Airpods 1 - I purchased my airpods about an year ago for my mother. She did not activate them right away. They were sealed until recently. Now, they will not pair with any iPhone, Mac or android phone.

    They were completely discharged when I unsealed them. I charged them over night and in the morning tried to pair them. No matter what I tried, no pairing pop-up appeared. I tried to hard reset them using the button on the back, restart my iPhone, reset network settings; nothing has worked. Is there anything that can be done?

    Help with my wifi problems.

    Even though the wifi I am connected to on my mac has a strong signal I always see, Wifi Looking for networks whenever I clcik on the wifi status in the menu bar. I am on OSX Mojave if that helps.

    Just updated to iOS13, for “Require Passcode” the only option is “Immediately” now

    i used to have this option set to a couple minutes. now it only allows me to set "immediately". this happened on my iphone and ipad as well. any ideas?

    Airdrop vanished from my Finder

    I have used airdrop a lot over the last months but stayed a couple of weeks without using it. Now, there is no Airdrop in my finder and there is not option to turn it on. check this. Is there some magic I can do to make it reappear?

    iPhone won't vibrate/notfiy me of text messages when watch is connected

    Facetime Video Live Photos Are Playing Audio Only at the End

    When I look back at a Facetime Live Photo, it plays back the video for the 3 second clip, stops, then plays all of the audio on the last frame.

    Is this due to lag on the other person's end? I know their internet connection isn't as stable but it's weird that the audio won't sync with the rest of the live photo

    White screen of death during iOS13 update

    Was updating my iPhone SE to ios13 and at the end of the update, it was stuck on the white screen of death. It was on a white screen for over an hour before trying to hard reset it, but still nothing is working.

    Anyone know what could be the problem? (Keep in mind i was updating without connecting to a pc or mac, so there is no connection problem)

    I've been running the beta all summer long on my Apple TV so my wife's shows don't show up under my up next. We've had no problems until today. The Apple TV wouldn't give a video signal so I had to force restart it. When it restarted, I held down the TV button to switch accounts and 2 accounts with my name showed up.

    So I have 2 accounts named ScoobyDoo27 (2). It won't let me remove one of them from the settings. It tells me to go to the home app on iOS to remove it but nowhere on my phone do I have duplicate accounts.

    Anyone know what I can do to remove the duplicated one?

    Face ID not working (passcode too a bit)

    Anyone else experiencing this? I updated to iOS 13.1 this morning, and a few hours ago Face ID stopped working. And when I enter my passcode its spotty and I have to do it a couple times. Using an iPhone X

    Just paid someone $100 for this (definitely stolen) iPhone X. No SIM card, locked, no Siri, no WiFi/no Cellular. Any way I can find the original owner? Only info I have is that it is potentially Cricket Locked.
