    Service battery message cannot be removed after replacing one's battery with an OEM iPhone battery!

    News flash! If one replaces one's iPhone battery with a third-party equivalent or even another OEM iPhone battery, the "service battery" message cannot be removed except by Apple! This has the potential of eroding trust with independent repair shops. This is genius on the part of Apple in that those incensed by this may stop buying iPhone and go with Android, but it's a minuscule loss in revenue compared to the number of customers who will go to Apple to replace their batteries. A wonderful way of increasing revenue! The only way to stop this from happening is to have media outlets showcase this disgusting behavior in the name of profits. I doubt this practice will see the light of day, but let's start raising a stink. Apparently, this only affects the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max for the time being. Watch iFixit and Louis Rossman's video discussing this new attempt by Apple to discourage self/independent repair!

    So, I restored back to IOS 12.4 from beta 13 and now I’m getting this message. I’m on T-Mobile and I have a Turbo Sim, so I’m not sure if that could be the issue. Anyone knows what I can do to fix this?

    Hi all,

    one question: is it just me or is there a bug in the photos app? When I open photos app I see in "My Albums" a folder "Recently used" that contains ALL photos that are stored on my device. This includes photos I copied to the phone via iTunes and photos I recently took with the camera. This is kind of super annoying and I don't understand where the old camera roll disappeared to. Got this changed? Is this a bug? Is there a way how to get the old behavior back (minus downgrading to iOS 12)?

    Syncing episodes in iOS Podcasts library

    Something I've noticed in the iOS Podcasts app is that, if I add old episodes of a podcast that I subscribe to to my Podcasts library, these episodes are not added to my Library on other devices. If I play part of the episode, the played status *is* synced, but the episode is still listed under "See All Episodes" instead of my library on another device.

    Has anyone experienced this or have any advice (other than to use a different podcast app)?

    iPhone XR - ios12, anyone else’s iTunes load the wrong album art when adding songs and albums to their phone?

    Can't even change it once the tracks are ok the phone through iTunes. People say to delete and resync their libraries but that seems like a temporary solution. Any other experiences?

    Create video from photos in shared album?

    Hi Is it possible to make one of those 'memories' videos in the Photos app from photos in a shared photo album?

    Usually once we're back from holiday we will upload all our photos to a shared album so we can see the ones we all took.

    It is easy enough to create a video using the ones I took, is it possible from the shared album or do I need to transfer everything from the shared album to my phone first?

    screen time help

    hi, i got my first ipad (im used to android) like a month ago and im trying to stop myself from watching YT at night so i set up screentime however theres an "ignore limit" button. i get thats for children/parents and stuff but im the admin/owner of my iPad so i obviously know my own password. is there anyway to remove that "ignore" button?

    BT streaming quality differences between Apple Music and Spotify

    Hello Folks,

    i had noticed big differences at the steaming / music quality between Apple Music and Spotify. The biggest impact i noticed in Car with Bluetooth and via AirPlay the quality with Apple Music is more power-full, louder, and i think there is more dynamic while listening.

    In settings of the Spotify App i set the quality to maximum but the difference is still huge! Can anyone verify this "issue" or give me an hint whats causing that behavior ?

    AirDrop chaos - 2 Apple IDs across 4 devices

    Apple ID personal = MacBook Pro (10.14.6) and iPhone 6s (12.4)

    Apple ID work = MacBook Pro (10.14.6) and iPhone 7 (12.4)

    Personal devices were previously on macOS Sierra and iOS 10, respectively. With that setup I could AirDrop from any single device to any of the other 3 devices. Each device has a unique device name and would appear correctly in the AirDrop panel.

    Now, with everything running the same OSs, I can't AirDrop between work devices or between personal devices; I can only drop from work to personal or vice versa. And the devices report incorrect device names in the AirDrop panel.

    Example: AirDrop from work iPhone; panel shows work MBP name but selecting it drops to personal MBP; a second contact appears with no device name, also drops to personal MBP; personal iPhone does not show but selecting either of two available options drops to both personal iPhone and personal MBP simultaneously.

    Same scenario in reverse for AirDrop from a personal device: AirDrop lists personal device name but it drops to work devices simultaneously.

    The simultaneous drop is new, previously I could select between iPhone and MBP, but not a deal breaker. However, I do need to be able to AirDrop work > work and personal > personal.

    My contact cards are set up with my personal Apple ID email listed as an alternate email in my work address book and my work Apple ID email listed as an alternate email in my personal address book.

    Help, anyone, please. :-)

    Optional App Icons

    I would love for there to be an option to disable a specific app icon so that the app is only searchable through finder. This would eliminate so much of the clutter that is currently hidden on the 2nd page of my phone, and would lead to me finding the app faster by just typing it into finder instead of swiping and tapping in and out of folders trying to find an app I haven't used in a month.

    Kompressor used to be a Photos App extension to compress images in your camera roll, not it works as a stand-alone app too with even more options -- resizing images, batch compression.     Biggest/Most Important iOS Update to Date?

    Hello Reddit. In your opinions, which update to iOS was the had the biggest/most important features that got the operating system to where it is today? IMO, iOS 4 was one of the most important versions, as it introduced many features that were left out and are still fundamental today, i.e. multitasking, folders, more of a modern interface, and 200+ more features that made it a truly remarkable and game-changing update at the time. What are your thoughts?

    Why is cancelling all updates so godawful?

    If I press "update all" and change my mind, there's no way to stop updating all my apps at once. So I go and manually press the stop buttons on each app, but the buttons just don't respond at all to my taps.

    Then I have to 3D Touch every icon to cancel them, but then they just keep restarting, only to eventually give me the "app failed to update" notification for every single one.

    Is it this broken for anyone else?

    Hello everyone. I was using VPN on my iphone 8 plus to access a youtube video. I did it also in 2017 and 2018. I accessed facebook and my email while using the vpn. Is there any risk of my facebook and email address being stolen? Does it have a high probability of happening? How do I know if it happened?
