FaceID doesn't make it easy enough to just enter your passcode Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:27 AM PDT With TouchID, after like a few failed attempts it would just bring up the passcode screen so you can bypass. Now, with FaceID, you have to have it fail several times, which takes awhile, then hit the "Enter Passcode" button (which is stupid, just bring up the digit entry), then enter your passcode. There are times that I know FaceID will fail and I just want to use my passcode but they make it so difficult! I get that they assume that you should never need to enter your passcode, but they made it easier with TouchID! So annoying. /endrant Edit: What's up with the "Swipe up to unlock" with FaceID after a failed attempt or two. Sometimes I just want to preview my notifications, not open the phone, but it makes me open the phone before it will try again. Why can't the retry logic just mimic TouchID?!!! [link] [comments] | ||
