Posted: 27 Jul 2019 08:21 AM PDT Hey y'all, another GameClub update. I'll keep this one short and sweet: Vlambeer's Super Crate Box is playable again! You can download it right now here: http://bit.ly/SuperCrateBoxBeta, throw an email in and you'll get taken to a download page. Only the first 3,000 people are getting in, we're limiting this one a bit more than we do our other betas to try to manage incoming feedback a bit better than the fire hose of a typical 10,000 person TestFlight. Here's a super ancient trailer for the game, which isn't really representative of how smooth is actually plays on mobile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JlGC8GVlJM A little history on this game if this is the first time you've heard of it: Originally released on Windows in 2010, Super Crate Box was the game that put Vlambeer on the map. The easiest way to describe Super Crate Box is if you took the classic Mario Bros and added guns, lots of guns. Scoring in the game is determined by how many crates you pick up, and each crate gives you a different weapon of varying power levels. Doing well in the game involves avoidance of enemies and dealing with using whatever weapon the last crate gave you which could be anything from a super hard to use disc gun to a rocket launcher with a huge blast radius. The mobile port was done by Halfbot (the creators of The Blocks Cometh, which is also coming down the pipeline from GameClub), and at the time was quite a technical feat. Super Crate Box was made in Game Maker, which was a very approachable development environment for developers but (at the time) was severely lacking in ways you could export those games to different platforms. So, Halfbot basically reverse engineered the game from Game Maker to build a mobile version. Amusingly enough, had Super Crate Box been released today, this process would be super simple as Game Maker now can export as a mobile project. Super Crate Box had been off the App Store for quite a while, and GameClub recently finished updating it. We actually worked with both code bases and ended up doing the work to update Halfbot's mobile version over the easier process of building off the Game Maker source to make sure the controls stayed the same since Halfbot put a lot of work into how good they feel. This was a load of effort, but I think worth it in the end, as it's just how you remembered it if you played Super Crate Box before. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this beta of Super Crate Box. As the title mentions, it's 100% free with no ads or IAP, we're just looking for feedback or bug reports. The tricky thing of updating these old games is since the original isn't playable anymore, we basically go off community consensus on things that should be changed regarding the overall feel of the game. If you've got any thoughts on this game, you can hit the "Send Beta Feedback" button in TestFlight or join our Discord and dump them in the #super-crate-box channel at http://discord.gg/gameclub If you've got any questions on GameClub, I'll be around this weekend to answer them. I already did a deep dive on all the how's and why's of GameClub about a month ago that's also worth checking out if this is the first time you've heard of us- https://www.reddit.com/r/iosgaming/comments/c3q23l/gameclub_is_bringing_classic_premium_game/ [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jul 2019 06:23 PM PDT Check out Treygames' new arcade style game, Road Racer! After about a year of development, and two new developer accounts later, me and my team of two other people have finally gotten our newest game ready for a public release. The game concept is similar to Subway Surfers, where you try to avoid obstacles and enemies for as long as you can, we are however planning on adding a lot of new content over the next few updates, so stay tuned for updates and new games on our website here! By the way, you can even customize your racer car in a lot of different ways and use powerups to your advantage, so simply check out the trailer below to see that the game is about. For now we have only released it for IOS, as the performance isn't great on Android yet. We are not professionals and have limited resources, but we are hoping to work on other fun and enjoyable games in the future. I am using this opportunity to let the world know of our work, and we would be happy about any feedback or players who might be interested. We usually dont promote things like this, but it might be worth a try. You can get the game on the App Store here, thanks alot! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jul 2019 02:04 PM PDT I'm curious what is considered the best casino app. I don't just mean slots, I mean the whole thing, roulette, blackjack, poker, etc. There's a ton of free and microtransaction loaded ones out there, especially that only do slots. I wouldn't even mind one that asks you to pay once and has no micro transactions. [link] [comments]

I’m trying to look for a game I saw the other day Posted: 26 Jul 2019 07:32 PM PDT It was a card game with really nice pixel graphics, the logo was a blue wizard, and I'm pretty sure the price was 4.99. It looked really interesting but now I can't find it, I hope someone knows which one I'm talking about [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jul 2019 12:18 PM PDT So I can't afford the latest phone but plan to use an iPhone 7 (regular one) for gaming, is it still good for this? Are many others still gaming on this device? [link] [comments]
