    AW4 heart rate wildly inaccurate during workouts

    I've noticed when starting a run my watch will jump to 204bpm after a minute or so. I have to stop and manually take my heart rate via the heart rate app to bring it back down to its actual reading. It'll take an accurate reading for another minute or two and jump right back up to 204bpm again.

    I tighten the watch to my wrist before workouts and have very little arm hair and no tattoos that would get in the way of the sensor. Anyone else have this issue? Pretty annoying that a £400 smart watch, that was bought mainly for fitness tracking, can't seem to take a consistent reading of my heart rate during a simple run. I feel sorry for others who have yet to notice this issue and think they're burning way more calories than they actually are.

    So I have group chats with family members. And of course they get out of hand, so I have those specific group chats muted on iMessage. But for some reason they still ring on my Apple Watch. I have it on “mirror” phone but that’s doesn’t stop those group chats from ringing on my phone.

    Series 3 Loses 1% per minute/action?

    Hi,

    I might be overreacting but recently whenever I 'do something' (e.g. open Activity, check Messages, etc.) on my Series 3 AW my battery percentage decreases by roughly 1%. I had amazing, stellar battery life when I purchased it a while ago but now, when running the latest watchOS (installed a while ago, too) the battery life seems to be getting worse. e.g. from 83% to 81% in the span of writing this post. Running on the latest public/supported iOS (no beta).

    I have turned off the usual suspects (e.g. automatic workout, etc.) but this is bugging me and was wondering if anyone has any other advice that's not been covered in previous posts? Thank you!

    Found Two Watches over the Holiday

    Before people call me a thief, I am a scuba diver who regularly checks some jump cliffs in my hometown. I actually get hired to retrieve items for individuals such as glasses, wallets, etc. I found two apple watches over the holiday weekend, but I am unable to unlock them.

    Whenever I find a wallet, I can return it to the owner if their drivers license is in it. I've also returned some go pros if there is footage showing where they're from. I haven't had any luck in figuring out how to unlock these watches though.

    I've done some research, but it seems that apple has implemented security features that don't allow you to unlock the watch without the original passcodes. Does anyone have any information they could pass along? One is a series 3 and one is a series 4.

    I'm working on getting into medical school right now so my budget is pretty tight. That said, I'm thinking about buying an AW3 because I'm going down to Tijuana soon to work on my Spanish and volunteer in an orphanage. I want to keep running and listening to music while I'm down there, and the AW seems like a more discrete tech option than running around with my iPhone.

    That said, I know it's a bad time to buy cause AW5 is expected in September. How dumb do you think it is to buy a AW3 now, and possibly sell it and by AW4 when I'm back from Tijuana in October?

    Let's talk about iMessage Messages from Android delay on LTE Shall we?

    So, I love my Apple Watch and all, but when using LTE on Verizon (at least here in the US) - why are texts from Android phones delayed so much? In fact, on most days, I don't even get them - if I do I get them on a huge delay, sometimes a few hours! I missed some important texts from clients and coworkers the other day because for some reason the Apple Watch refuses to work with them.

    If this issue isn't fixed I am getting rid of this watch - it's great but if I cannot receive texts while using it on LTE only (which is the only reason I bought this watch, to begin with), I am getting rid of it.

    (And yes, I am fully aware that to receive and send SMS my iPhone has to be powered on. I do have it powered on and I leave it at home, according to Apple support this is acceptable. But like I said, they either come in delayed by hours or not at all, even if my phone is at home, powered on and connected to WiFi).

    Apple Watch tips?

    Apple Watch suddenly charging very slowly

    Hi I'm not sure if this has been asked before. Recently my Apple Watch has been charging very slowly...I've restarted it and switched cables and bricks and I still have the same issue. I have a Series 3. Just to give you guys some perspective sometimes I charge it on my commute to work..usually that takes my watch from 25% to 85-90%. Today I stuck it on the charger and it was at 45% and by the end of my commute it was at 57%. Is my battery gonna swell and go kaboom?

    Apple Maps - transit with walking directions?

    I'm a newbie to the Apple Watch so apologies if this is a dumb question. I've been using Apple Maps to get transit directions and it seems like it doesn't give turn-by-turn walking directions to the transit points (stations and bus stops). It just says things like "walk to X station". It seems like you only get those turn-by-turn directions when you JUST ask for walking directions.

    Is that right or am I doing something wrong?

    Any way to fast start a breathe session?

    I like the Breathe app, but I'm not crazy about waiting around for it to start as it's telling me to bring my attention to my breathing.

    I'd like it to just start without that intro first.

    Apple Watch Series 4 LTE Unlocked with all carriers?

    I'm planning to buy a used Apple Watch Series 4 LTE. If the person bought it from Verizon and used it with a Verizon plan (fully paid off) and I used it for an AT&T plan, would it work?

    edit; also, should I wait for the Apple Series 5/wait for series 4 to drop after 5 comes out? I saw someone say it'll most likely be coming out in September. is there any info on what new designs or anything will be included with the new series?

    Apple Calendar Not Syncing?

    So, I use just the regular calendar app for all my stuff (work schedule, appointments, etc.). I just got my Apple Watch Series 4 yesterday, and I noticed if I change the time of an event or add one on my phone, it doesn't change for me on the watch. I could've sworn I checked all the settings, but the only way to update it seems to reset my sync data whenever I change or add an event. I don't know if it's because I have too many events (maybe 10 in a week) so it's too much to load or what. I know I have all my classes for the first semester entered in, but that's not until August and the watch doesn't display anything past this upcoming Thursday for me. If there's any solutions that'd be great. I should note that I also have the iOS 13 beta on my iPhone so that may be a cause for my problem.

    Music Apps other than Apple Music Supported ?

    So i ordered a S2 Nike+ Apple watch (that'll hopefully come wednesday) , and i was wondering if you can stream music on your iphone with another music app (Amerigo or spotify and whatnot for exemple) and still be able to control it on your watch ? Or does this feature only works with the "official" Apple music app ?

    Why doesn’t apple make leather bands for the space black watch?

    Every single leather watch band that I've seen for the Apple Watch has had stainless steel buckles. Even the black ones had stainless steel. Is there a specific reason why they don't have any bands for the space black finish beyond metal bands?

    Series 3 vs 4 — Prime Day Sale

    Hello everyone! I have recently been debating on getting an Apple Watch when I noticed that the Series 3 is currently on sale on Amazon for $200. Does anyone—particularly who has had a Series 3 and 4—feel like this price makes the series 3 worth getting over the 4?

    Just for reference, I was thinking of getting the cellular version, so it might be more expensive on both ends, but I am assuming that the $200 price gap would mostly be the same. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
