When I go to import it into the Photos app, with the eventual goal of uploading/syncing everything to the cloud, the app says it needs 90gb of local disk space to complete the operation. | Will Apple store back up my locked iPhone 8 and restore it? Posted: 06 Jun 2019 09:24 PM PDT I remember changing my iPhone passcode after Apple no longer allowed simple PINs but now either I remembered it wrong or I changed it in my sleep but the passcode I'm using cannot unlock my phone anymore. My phone has been disabled for over 1 hour now. I googled everything about recovery/DFU mode and restoring the entirety of my phone. Unfortunately, I haven't backed up my phone in probably over a year. There are a lot of pictures and other info on there that I want to keep. I'm unable to back it up on my iTunes because my computer won't recognize that my phone is connected since I can't unlock it... I did manage to put it into recovery mode and then update my phone via iTunes but I'm still locked out of my phone and my computer still doesn't recognize it. If I go to an Apple store, will they be able to back up my phone, reset it, and restore the back up??? Is there a third party that would be able to do it if Apple can't? [link] [comments]  |

It sends me to the grey media/download page that plays audio and the podcast plays but if I were to go to say my Notes or other apps and put Safari in the background after like 4 minutes the page will refresh and I have to go back to Safari and skip to the point the podcast was previously on before it refreshed. In autosleep it displays *8 hours and 24 mins of sleep" but in the health app it says it's already synced the 8 hours but displays it at something like 70 hours. | Weird Bug — Removing artwork makes iTunes songs get longer and loop Posted: 06 Jun 2019 06:31 AM PDT A couple of hours ago, I encountered a weird bug. I bought a music album from the artist's website, and manually added it to the iTunes library on my Mac. I decided to replace the album artwork as I had found a better-quality version. After I had done so, all the songs of the album became about 57 seconds longer, and part of the songs now loops after the "normal" time when they should end. This seems to happen if I delete the artwork of any of my albums. I have tried replicating the problem on my Windows machine (which is synched to the same iTunes library). I could not replicate the problem. I have managed to temporarily fix the problem by adding the album to the library on my Windows machine, removing the artwork there, and adding the new artwork on my Mac. It keeps telling me to move it higher then lower. I would like to be able to diagnose my phone via software to see if any of the sensors are damaged or if it is a software bug. Posted: 06 Jun 2019 06:35 PM PDT I have a navigation folder on my iPhone 7+ on iOS 12.3.1 (google maps, Apple maps, Waze, NAVIGON, Citymapper, and navionics) that will open fine once then once I am done using the app (almost always google maps or waze) the folder will not open again. I can restart the phone and it will work fine again once. If I hard press on the folder to get the rename pop up I can click it and it will open the folder. Any ideas? | keep being asked to sign into my apple id Posted: 06 Jun 2019 10:12 AM PDT tldr at the top: every time i log into my mac, it pops up asking me to sign into my apple ID again: "this mac cant connect to icloud because of a problem with <my apple id>" long explanation: so i have a 21" imac but i had this same problem on my previous 27" mac. this has been going on for ages (since at least high sierra maybe sierra) and ive tried everything i can think of including just ignoring it for the last 6 months
the only devices i use my apple id on is an iphone 8 and this mac. the phone doesnt pop up any kind of message about the apple id. i dont know why this is even happening so im not sure how to go about fixing it, but im willing to try more stuff to see if it fixes it. thanks! [link] [comments]  |

| 2017 MacBook Pro: Black Horizontal Lines and Ghosting on the Bottom of the Screen Posted: 06 Jun 2019 04:07 PM PDT I bought a 2017 MacBook Pro in October of 2017 and around a month ago (April 2019) I encountered a problem where a black horizontal line appeared on the bottom of my display. Since that problem occurred the amount of black lines increased and covers around 1 centimeter of the bottom screen. There is also some ghosting that occurs in that area with previous images that were on the screen. The strange thing is that when I close the MacBook Pro for the night and open it in the morning the lines are gone and only reappear on the screen after some use on the device. I called Apple support and went to the Apple store for help and they both said that I needed to send the device in for repairs and that it would cost me around $475.00; however, if the device is damaged due to a faulty component they could repair the device free of charge after inspection. It seems that the problem that I am encountering is similar to the one here. My MacBook Pro hasn't been dropped or exposed to any liquids so I think it is a problem with a component within the device and not something that I could have prevented or controlled. I do not have AppleCare and the laptop is outside of the 1 year warranty so I am hoping that they fix it free of charge, but the email link that I received from the Apple specialist I called indicates that they want me to pay for the entire repair cost upfront. I am wondering if I should go ahead and pay for the full repair cost now and pray that they fix it for free since I haven't damaged the device or if anyone else has encountered a similar situation and were able to get their laptop repaired free of charge. I am just frustrated with the entire situation because the laptop is less than 2 years old and Apple already wants me to pay $475.00 for an issue that I did not have any control over.
