Apple Watch in-built speakers are insane! Posted: 09 May 2019 03:39 PM PDT So I just got a Series 4 40mm 2 days back (I love it) and I noticed that I can't play songs through in-built speakers. It only allows to play to a Bluetooth device or the connected iPhone. However I was checking out the apps and happened to try Shazam. After recognizing the song there is this small play button which plays the preview and holy fu*k, those speakers are truly insane for something so small. Why is Apple limiting the capabilities of it? Sound on Maps notifies you of your next move. Posted: 09 May 2019 11:15 PM PDT So I was using maps on my Apple Watch to navigate while driving around and noticed this. Before your next move, your Apple Watch repeats a tone three times along with a vibration to notify you. When your next move is a left, the tone is: High tone - low tone, high tone - low tone, high tone- low tone. When your next move is a right, the tone is: Low tone- high tone, low tone - high tone, low tone - high tone. So you don't really have to look at the watch, you can tell if it's a left or a right by the tone of the notification. I got so familiar with the sounds, that I could predict my next move by just hearing them and didn't have to look at the watch. It was so interesting to learn that even things as little as this are so well thought it. [link] [comments]

My AppleWatch series 4 battery drain faster than normal Posted: 10 May 2019 12:51 AM PDT I used the watch for 1,5 hours and the battery has already drained down to 85%. I didn't open any app or workout. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 May 2019 02:27 AM PDT Like everyone else, I have a watch face that shows the events of the day pulled from my (Google) calendar. The thing is, only events with a specific time are shown. All-day events are not counted or displayed. So I'm seeing "no events for today", then I click it, the calendar opens and I see 4 All-Day events. Weird... [link] [comments]
iPhone fitness and motion on or off alongside Apple Watch? Posted: 10 May 2019 08:39 AM PDT Would like to know if I should keep motion and fitness enabled on my iPhone when wearing my Apple Watch or have it off? Does my watch work in conjunction with the phone to count steps? Just trying to understand if there is a need to keep it enabled if I'm wearing my watch, thanks! [link] [comments]

Not sure if charger or the watch Posted: 10 May 2019 01:25 AM PDT My watch died? And it won't charge the screen with the charger and the red lightning bolt comes on and when I put it on the charger it turns green but the screen goes black and I'm caught in the same loop is it it the charger or the watch? Alerts on iPhone if forgetting watch? Posted: 10 May 2019 03:36 AM PDT I've seen lots of people ask and get told that the watch can alert you if you're leaving your phone behind. Is there a way to have your phone alert you if you're leaving your watch behind? I wear mine when I sleep too, and then charge it while I'm showering and getting ready in the morning, but sometimes forget to put it back on when I leave the house, yet never forget my phone. Apple Watch needs a Find my iPhone app! Posted: 10 May 2019 06:56 AM PDT So yesterday I took my 4yo niece to the zoo by myself and we stopped to sit for a minute. I put my phone down on the bench. Like all 4yo do they decide to head off to the next stop pretty much 5 seconds after sitting. So I proceed leaving my phone on the bench. 30 or so minutes go by and I go to take my phone out for a pic and realize it's gone. No idea where I left it. AppleWatch cellular to the rescue. I call my brother have him put it in lost mode for me and show it on the map. Its nearly impossible to tell where it is amongst the trees on this super tiny watch. I resort to the old school method of retracing my steps and find my iPhone safely where I had left it untouched. Keep in mind I was well out of the range of the bluetooth ping functionality. I really feel like a missing feature I never thought I needed should have been there! I should have been able to pull find my iPhone up on my watch activate last mode and then see the distance from my watch to my phone! Especially given I have the cellular features! I will be putting a feature request into Apple. Unless I missed another option? TLDR: why is there no good option to find my iPhone from my Apple Watch? Could have saved me from searching frantically dragging a tired 4yo back through everything we had already seen at the zoo! Had to make a call from my watch to put the iPhone into lost mode! Posted: 10 May 2019 06:52 AM PDT Wondering if there is a stand-alone Radio app that works on Apple Watch so I don't have to take my phone whilst exercising. [link] [comments]
What do you do with your Watch on LTE? Posted: 10 May 2019 06:48 AM PDT Back when I bought my Series 4 before christmas last year, I decided to go for the LTE version because that seemed nice for example for taking a run and still have my music and being connected to the world without the extra weight of a phone. I ended up not activating eSIM with my carrier partly because I've been switching carriers and some didn't support it and partly because I didn't feel the need for it yet. I've decided to get the eSIM now, but I'm wondering what situations you guys have needed that cellular connection and what you do on the watch with it? As I said, I wanted to take a run with music streaming from it, but as I'm a Spotify user I'm unable to do exactly that... One thing that comforts me about it is the whole emergency aspect of it though. Always being able to call for help even if I'm not near my phone is a good thing regardless. [link] [comments]
It’s the second time this week that my AW locks during sleep. Posted: 10 May 2019 02:59 AM PDT Hi mates, as explained in the title I use my old spare aw serie2 as a sleep tracker. It always works flawless with Autosleep but in the last days it happened me twice to wake up with the watch locked (I'm sure it wasn't when I went to sleep, the band was tight enough and have no tattoos on my wrist). Never happened during the day with non of my 2 watches, only with serie 2 twice during sleep. Does it happened to anybody else? Thanks in advance for your feedback. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 May 2019 06:35 AM PDT Hi all, just purchased a s2 for my misses and in the process of setting up the aw however I'm struggling to update it in order to use it. I've got a 6s plus on iOS 12.2 and my misses has a 6s on iOS 12.2. Trying to update to watchOS 5.2. Tried 3 times on her phone to update the aw and now trying on mine. I've set my phone to 2.4g wifi and her's was on 5g wifi while trying to do the update. If this fails (updating thru my phone) what should I try next? [link] [comments]
I'm finally going to be in a country that supports my cellular AW. What do I need to do? Posted: 10 May 2019 06:34 AM PDT I live in the United Arab Emirates but bought the cellular version on a trip to Australia last year. This week I'm off to the UK for a few months and I'd love to make the most of this feature so I can leave my phone at home during runs. What do I need to set this up and how much will it cost? Haptic Notifications different for each App? Posted: 10 May 2019 05:29 AM PDT One of the main way I use my Apple watch is to triage notifications. I'm sure this is true of many people. The important notifications go to my watch, whereas the less important ones just go to my phone. This lets me ignore things that aren't immediately relevant. However, I'm frequently in a situation where looking down to check my watch (and a notification) is going to be interpreted from the people around me as me not being "in the moment." A couple of my apps tend to be used only for mission critical things and I'd like to have those vibrate differently that the others that are important but not necessarily urgent. So, my question is this: Is there a way to have apps have different notification vibrations on the Apple Watch? For instance, what I'd like is that when I get an Outlook notification on my watch it feels different than a Messages notification on my watch. I am already using prominent haptics and leaving my sound on the watch muted. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 May 2019 05:25 AM PDT Hello, is there any application for Apple Watch to beep every hour itself? I mean at 9:00, 10:00, etc. Thank you. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 May 2019 04:41 AM PDT New to Apple Watch and even to smart watches in general. I notice that when I wear sleeves (maybe only with a specific rain coat? Not sure!), that the touchscreen gets activated all the time and random apps open. Enabling swimming mode helps of course.. anyone else having this problem? [link] [comments]
