For months I've been trying to find a game that fits my super picky criteria and wanted to share because I see a lot of posts asking for something similar. That game is Hades' Star.

Background:

I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I like playing something low-key before bed or while watching tv. At these times I'm usually in a more laying down position and landscape orientation makes my arms tired after a while. I've found that the most relaxing way to use my phone in this position is by resting the bottom of my phone on my chest with my middle finger on top and tapping the screen with my thumb. I wanted a game I could play that way and by george I was going to find it.

Criteria:

Portrait mode

****No P2W/IAP nonsense (this games has IAP, see edit)

Decent graphics but no intense motion (ie no bullet hell or hack n slash)

Minimal/no story line (if I want to read a story I'd just read a story)

Minimal focus required

Simple enough to relax, but involved enough to not get bored

Conclusion:

Hades' Star checks all those boxes for me. I've been playing for about a week and it's great so far. The very beginning was a little slow so if you try it, give it a little bit before making a decision. Best of all, it's free. It plays like a premium game minus a story line, which I actually prefer.

****Edit: this game apparently does have IAP. One person said it's P2W but that hasn't been my experience so far. That said, I also never "win" games either, I just play until I get bored. I even double checked the App Store description for the section on IAPs and it's not there, so I felt confident posting that. Seems like I was wrong though and I apologize if anyone misinterpreted it as deceitfulness.

I've tried to report them on apple support but they told me to take it with the devs.. devs asked me to speak to Apple.. Not sure who to go to at this point.

RoK has been caught recently giving items to content creators and attempting to hide it. they also funded a youtuber items during a war. None of this was ever disclosed to the community prior to the leak.

I tried to link the petition regarding the case to spread some awareness and was banned on the RoK official discord. Those who spoke out against them on reddit and discord were also banned. (http://chng.it/55DffLCc7x) after i was banned, the Community manager JetBlade said "Where are the meme guys, haven't seen a worthwhile meme in almost 30 min now" (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/540496701492822016/572707997655236621/Jetblademockingcommunity.png)

At this point, I am not sure what else I can do. Both Apple and the Developer refuse to help. Please help spread some awareness to the community. It is unethical to deceive the community. Edit:

I've see a lot of people on this forum asking for any kind of action Rpg. Well maybe it's not perfect, but i think Ashwolrd is a pretty good game. Of course with a MFI controller everything is better, because this game is a good mix between an open world, a dual stick shooter and a 2d platform.

When you enter inside a dungenon the game switch to 2d platform, when you travel around the map, the game became something like a dual stick shooter.

There's also a little story and a craft system. The main thing of the game is to survive, because you need to eat and sleep.

Take a look at some gameplay on youtube if you want have an idea. The game is also avaiable on steam for any platform. ( but i think it's too much expansive for steam )

I would like to know if someone have already played this game and their thougts, because i think there's a lot of potential.

[Question] Is the new Bloons Adventure Time TD game good?

Is it worth playing? I played through the tutorial and seems like it would be interesting, the animations and graphics are cool. I enjoyed bloons TD 5 quite a lot. I have never played any other bloons game, I enjoy tower defence games though. (For example: kingdom rush)

Has anyone played this game any further ? Does it get pay to win after sometime ?

Recommendations for co-op iOS game to play with a 10-year old?

My son is looking to play a mobile game together with me- it can be on a shared device or on two devices. My top preference would be a game that was free, since we are having trouble agreeing on a game I don't really want to spend money lol.

I tried to show him Space Team and he wasn't interested. He doesn't like Minecraft (we've tried that on PC). Any suggestions welcome... I'm def. frustrated.

I like the idea of being part of a large world, like World of Warcraft but similar games on IOS are just to massive and slaughters batteries and data.

I know there's a couple low rez games out there that have nice cartoony graphics like Dofus or Ragnarok M but they didn't quite do it for me.

Are there any other ideas of well made online games that aren't epic 3D battery eaters?

By semi multiplayer i mean it doesn't need to be 100% online like brawl stars, but more like teh city builder games where you can vs other players. Started playing Rise of Kingdoms recently and it was actually pretty solid...then it became the classic P2W mobile scheme of wait hours to do anything or pay money. So i am looking for something that is not so pay to win, any ideas? repost btw
