    I’ve seen a few posts on various subreddits on the infinite zoom glitch. Most involve slight cropping, but if you don’t want to crop here is another method that I found.

    I just noticed I can’t read my widgets if I don’t unlock my phone with face ID. Is that a new thing on iOS 12.1.3?

    Title says it all. Not sure when (maybe the beta updates?) or why, but my lock screen no longer shows the date. Have to unlock the phone just to see the calendar app. To make matters weirder, my lock screen continually shows battery percentage charged.

    Did I do something wrong? Fixable?

    iPhone 8 Plus or OnePlus 6T?

    So I'm both an Android and iOS user and I'm upgrading next week, but I'm torn between the OP6T on the Android side and the 8 Plus on the iOS side. My budget is $570, currently I have a few subscribed listings on Swappa for the 8 Plus 64GB. Now the OP6T is sitting at $550 6GB of ram 128GB a complete package in my opinion same goes for the 8 Plus, but I'd prefer the 128GB variant since I'm a power user and I tend to run heavy games from time to time. What are y'alls take in this matter of mine? Lol.

    Themes and notifications changes

    Hi A friend of mine at work has been teasing me. He's managing to change the notification number background colour to different backgrounds. Also installing apps such as Kodi and showbox on his iPhone but won't tell me how. How is this possible?

    He's now told me I've missed the boat in being able to do this as apparently you have to downgrade the iPhone firmware.

    It’s 2019, Apple. Stop limiting us to 150mb on cellular. Especially now that you can see I have unlimited.

    My cell carrier (T-Mobile) shows my plan usage inside of the settings app. I think it's time for Apple to stop limiting people with an unlimited plan. screenshots

    EarPods connected on my iPhone are way too silent. Even at max. When I connect them to the PC, its maximum capacity is way higher. Why?

    How to recover use of iPhone after roommate defaulted on payments

    Not sure if this is the right reddit, but here goes.

    So I had a roommate that I put on my cell phone plan, and we went ahead and got him a new phone and put the payments on cell phone bill. Long story short, I've got the Phone back, and I know the passcode to open the phone, but in order to reset this back to a new phone I need to reset the Apple ID. I do not have that password. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Messages storage on device Vs. iCloud

    Under iPhone Storage, Messages shows 46.7 MB but in iCloud Storage, Messgaes is using 11.7 GB. What is being stored in iCloud that is not on my device?

    Would having an iPhone make a big difference if I have an iPad?

    I have an iPad Pro (2nd gen) for school to take notes, do my homework etc. That is working great, because I believe there is no better tablet on the market for such purposes.

    However, despite having an iPad and airpods, I just can't bring myself to get an iPhone. This is down to the fact that iOS is too restrictive for my use cases. 2019, but still no file manager? I even spent 20 minutes the other day just to save a file to Google drive, which could be downloaded with a click of a button on my Android phone. That, coupled along with how you even need to try jailbreaking / non-conventional hacks to try to get some functions to work (eg. Torrents, emulators) make it really hard for me to be invested in the system.

    So far from my research, the couple of things that stand out to me are Airdrop (but I feel can be easily replaced by just downloading, or even saving to Google drive and opening up on another device), as well as Handoff (again, apps that allow seamless continuity are plenty. One that comes to mind is Google keep).

    But, I don't want to make this a rant as to why I don't like the ecosystem. I purposely came here, even though I know that responses may be slightly biased, because I want to know what is the magic of owning multiple Apple devices. Before that though, some background information about myself as some things may not apply to me.

    1) the only 2 apple devices I own at the moment are my iPad Pro (for school) and airpods.

    2) I live in a country that almost doesn't use iMessage at all. Over here, we use other platforms such as Telegram and WhatsApp. I know iMessage is one of the big draws of iOS but unfortunately it doesn't apply to me.

    3) I really like the design of Apple products, but unfortunately the ridiculously high price tag creates a really high barrier to entry for students like myself. With that being said, I may get a MacBook Pro / Air in the future.

    4) I don't use iCloud at the moment. Personally, I feel there's no difference between iCloud and Google drive, and I can't even fill up the free 15gb for my Google account.

    I really want to reiterate that this is not meant to be a post to bash apple or anything. More than anything, I would like to hear advantages of owning an iPhone together with my iPad. Thanks!

    Should you buy the max storage option if you plan on reselling the iPhone?

    Hey guys,

    so cash isn't really a problem here, but if I'm planning on buying the iPhone Xs with the intention of reselling it in 2 years (and buying the new iPhone), should I purchase the 256 gb option / 512 gb option rather than 64 gb?

    It seems like the 512 gb option will hold it's value better as fewer people buy that phone. Is this true?

    What have your experiences been? Thanks.

    WiFi Issue

    Sister in law has an iPhone 6s Plus and currently have a problem with her WiFi. It's is constantly bouncing between WiFi and cellular data. It won't stop. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    iCloud Locked phone lost/stolen

    Why does anyone feel the need to steel an iCloud locked iPhone?!! Like seriously what kind of scum do you have to be. My little brother lost the phone I gave him for Christmas. Not sure if it fell out or his pocket or he got pick pocketed but it's iCloud locked with a message to call me and the phone hasn't been connected since yesterday. Last location in another borough. Meaning they took out the SIM or just turned it off to avoid tracking. Was a whole ordeal trying to get it locked since he forgot his password had to switch his number over to my phone just to reset it. On top of that folks at the T-Mobile store we're not interested in helping me really, just trying to collect a SIM kit fee surprise surprise. Sorry for the rant just had to vent. Just the thought of someone intentionally screwing him over pisses me off. He's special needs and literary the few things he gets joy from are his phone, films, and sometimes gaming.

    MMS over Wifi Calling?

    I've read others having this issue with Xfinity Mobile, is this a common iPhone issue in general? Ide prefer to just completely turn off cellular data and use WiFi, but whenever I need to send a photo, I have to turn cellular data back on. Can others send MMS / photos without cellular data over WiFi calling? My wife has Android so iMessage isn't an option.

    iPhone 8+ alarm tones not working properly

    Hello! I have an iPhone 8+ and recently I've been having some issues with my alarm. I have my alarm tone set to "morning mood" which is a ringtone I bought, but as of late it's just playing one of the default buzzer noises despite what I have it set to play (it will say I have it set to "morning mood" but will play the beeping noise).

    If anyone has a fix or some insight on this that would be awesome!
