I've tried resetting the whole phone, updating the phone to the latest ios, resetting the password for the account and nothing seems to have worked please help! [link] [comments]  |
| What to do on 'Cannot restore backup' iCloud errors on new iPhone setup? Posted: 24 Feb 2019 01:53 PM PST Trying to help out a relative who's iPhone 6s suffered a death by toilet on Friday, and she just picked up a new XS today. We went through the setup and tried to restore from iCloud backup, but got a 'Cannot restore backup' error after about 30 seconds. From doing some Googling, there's apparently no way to try to restore again without resetting the phone, so I tried this several times, selecting a different bbackup snapshot each time, and keep getting the same error. The iCloud status page says there are no problems currently, so I'm at a loss as to what to do. [link] [comments]  |
