    As we said last week, we will be trying out a Megathread for Meme Monday this week.

    Some Rules To Note:

    1. Toxicity - If your meme "bashes" or makes fun of someone and/or a specific tool (Ex: unc0ver or Electra) your meme will be removed and a user note may be applied.

    • It goes without saying, any meme that includes: racist, homophobic, sexist and etc... jokes will be dealt with accordingly with our rules.

    2. Low Effort - If your meme is "low effort," it will be removed. Some examples of "low effort:"

    • Posting an unedited meme with a caption as the title of the post

    • Stealing/Reposting the same meme as somebody else or something very similar

    • Deep fried memes and memes like "I can has jelbrekz?!" will be removed

    • Anything else will be up to mod discretion

    3. Piracy - If your meme mentions anything that would normally be removed due to our piracy rules, your meme will be removed and a user note will be applied

    4. Not Jailbreak Related - If your meme isn't related to jailbreaking, it will be removed

    5. IF YOUR COMMENT IS NOT A MEME, IT WILL BE REMOVED! (However, you may reply to a meme)

    ANY MEME POSTED OUTSIDE THIS THREAD WILL BE REMOVED AS WELL

    Hey guys! As I sit in a hospital bed trying to recover from a multiple sclerosis relapse, I've had the time to compile all of my research and assist the community again in purchasing a new iDevice on jailbreakable firmware.

    I can confirm that the following serial number sequences (FOURTH AND FIFTH NUMBER/LETTER OF THE SERIAL NUMBER) for iPhone XR, XS, XS Max and iPad / iPad Pro devices are shipped / sold between 12.0 and 12.1.2

    #WARNING: STAY AWAY from xxxY4xxxxxxx and above devices - A small portion of these devices are pre-loaded with 12.1.2 but most from that production week (after Tuesday) WILL be on 12.1.3

    Side-note: If you're impatient and you've purchased a new device online recently but your carrier only provided the IMEI number, you can purchase a GSX report from eIMEI24... The report will contain the serial number of your device before it arrives. It's $1.99 and usually arrives in a few hours. https://eimei24.com/check/iphone_gsx/

    • EDIT: u/Musth has GSX access and can check IMEI numbers to get your serial number...     Anything before xxxXFxxxxxxx (Week 38 2018) will be 12.0... These are mostly pre-order devices so they should already be in use and unlikely to be floating around anywhere sealed by now. This includes the xxxXNumberxxxxxxx series (X0, X1 etc.)

    XF is simply the release week of iOS 12.0 - XS and XS Max devices were obviously being manufactured prior to this release week.

    [News] unc0ver v3.0.0~b33 was released with several fixes and improvements for iOS 12

    02/24/2019 - v3.0.0~b33 was released for public testing with the following changes:

    • Fix a stability issue with reloading system daemons that was known for causing the device to get stuck with a spinning wheel and eventually rebooting itself (Note: If you still experience this issue, you should use the RootFS Restore feature and re-attempt the jailbreak again before filing a new issue)
    • Fix a bug in loading tweaks without reloading system daemons
    • Fix a bug in assertion
    • Bundle LetMeBlock by @PoomSmart to make blocking revokes via adding entries to hosts file work on iOS 12
    • Bundle NoBetaAlert by @parrotgeek1 to hide the iOS beta expiry alert

    Note:

    • It is highly recommended to turn on the Airplane Mode before attempting the jailbreak

    [TIP] boot loop vs respring loop

    Seeing too many people mixing up between those two so i had to clear

    Bootloop = continues apple logo

    Respring loop = continues loading circle

    The first one means that you are fucked and need to FR or update
    The second one you can easily fix with ssh or hardrest (force restart)

    Huge difference

    [Tutorial] How to completely remove Unc0ver jailbreak without restoring

    This tutorial is a step to step guide on how to completely remove the Unc0ver jailbreak and everything that comes with it without having to restore your device. This process will restore your root file system to how it was before you activated Unc0ver for the first time. This will not remove any user data apart from jailbreak related files such as your tweaks.

    For best results remove all the tweaks you installed before following these steps and ensure you are on the latest Unc0ver beta.

    1. Open Unc0ver and navigate to the settings tab.
    2. Scroll down and enable 'Restore RootFS (rec0ver)' and 'Refresh Icon Cache'.
    3. Navigate back to the jailbreak tab and press 'Jailbreak' / 'Re-Jailbreak'.
    4. Unc0ver will go through the normal jailbreak process and then show a notice saying 'Will restore RootFS', press OK.
    5. Wait for the process to finish. This could take up to 15 minutes depending on your device.
    6. You will get a notice saying 'RootFS has been successfully restored'. Press OK and the device will reboot.
    7. All jailbreaking related files have now be removed. You can now remove the Unc0ver app.

    The Cydia icon will most likely remain after completing this process. Don't worry, Cydia has been entirely removed, the Icon Cache just needs to be refreshed. The only current way to do this is through restoring your device, but Unc0ver will hopefully come out with a fix in a future update.

    Some files may be left over after following these steps. To ensure there are non left behind, restore your device.

    Pretty much everyone in this community knows the tweak developer julioverne. He has built a great deal of amazing tweaks that we use a lot in our jailbreaks. Sadly, he broke his only iDevice, a 5s.

    He's looking into buying a new device so he can tag along the iOS 12 jailbreak while it's still possible to go into a jailbreakable firmware, otherwise he won't have the means to test out his tweaks to update them for iOS 12, nor will he be able to build new tweaks without a device of his own, unless he asks for testers, but he doesn't want to make mistakes on other's devices.

    First off, I know this isn't how an untether works but it could help us do something that could automatically kickstart the jailbreak.

    Developers should look into VoIP, apps with the VoIP entitlement load on boot of iOS without user interaction, so in turn you could do something exploit related.

    I know this probably not even going to work but Apple documents it and explains how it works.

    I've released my first tweak, UnicodeEscape12, which allows you to type any Unicode character.

    Useful table: https://unicode-table.com/en/

    Usage: type "\u" (without quotes) and your phone will vibrate. Then type a 4 digit hexadecimal Unicode value (such as 202e or 1234). Once the hex value has been typed, type "\" one more time and your phone will vibrate again, and the text will be replaced with the character from the Unicode table.

    This tweak allows you to change your respiring screen to something custom. Unfortunately it does not work on iOS 12, and the author is no longer supporting it, but the source code is available so maybe a developer could configure this to work with iOS 12?
