    Amazon has a offer going on so I just ordered the pro and pulled the trigger.

    So now what are the extra things I should get? Cases, keyboards etc.. to protect it. I'm a college student so mostly one of the primary use is taking notes.

    Does anyone have any experience using Arturia MIDI keyboards (or any other MIDI controllers) with the iPad Pro?

    How exactly does it work? Are there any issues with the power supply to the MIDI controller? What are some good apps / DAWs for the iPad that you would recommend?

    Any recommendations for iPP 11” sleek/thin/lightweight cases that have a handle to support one-handing the iPad?

    I really like using my iPP + pencil for taking notes on the go, journaling on the couch, doing field research, etc. but holding the iPad with one hand and the pencil in the other gets old, quick. The hand holding the iPad gets tired and slippery/awkward to hold after a short while.

    I want to keep the notepad like thinness of the iPP so the solution I'm looking for needs to be thin, lightweight, and sleek. I don't need nor really want bulky protection nor front screen protection. I put my iPP in a sleeve/in my bag when I'm not using it for any extended period of time. It would be very nice if the handle could double as an adjustable kickstand so that I could prop up the iPP for watching video or stationary working sessions with an external keyboard.

    Below are a few options I'm considering but I think what I'm asking for just doesn't exist.

    • Ninja Loop-type solutions. I use a ninja loop with my iPhone X in an Apple leather case and I can easily hold the phone with one hand. I could combine something like this with a lightweight, minimal case, but I haven't seen many of those.
    • G-Handle or Pop-Socket products. These might satisfy the handle requirement and maybe even serve as an adjustable kickstand, but it's far from sleek and adds an ugly and non-trivial bulge to the iPad exterior.
    • [Cases with built-in handles like this](Case with built-in handles). The handle seems to be in a fixed position so the iPad could never lay flat. Plus the case provides for more protection/bulk than I need nor want. (In addition, this doesn't even fit an iPP 11".)

    I can't be the only person looking for a lightweight iPP case that has a sleek handle for one-handing the iPad. Using an iPP + pencil for hand-written notes is a game-changing use case for me but I'm going to be less-inclined to do so without the proper case that solves the ergonomic issue of one-handing the iPad.

    Should I wait for the 2019 iPad?

    I'm a student in physics and chemistry and my old iPad 3 broke recently, I was only using it for Netflix/YouTube but I've been thinking about getting a new one for note taking too. The iPad Pro seems overkill for that, so I'm thinking about buying the classic 2018 version, but should I wait for a potential 2019 iPad? I heard rumors that it will be 10.2 inches instead of 9.7 and it feels like an important upgrade... And even if the 2019 isn't better, how big the discount for the 2018 will be? I found an iPad 2018 for 330€ (275$) will it be much lower than that? (I'm not used to Apple price changes)
