Apple Watch heart rate sensor giving crazy readings during sleep, likely bugged out?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 08:00 AM PST

I have a series 4. I have noticed some odd things with the heart rate monitor in the last couple weeks. It will register a heart rate when it's in my pocket and I'm driving, not wearing the watch. Also, the ECG will occasionally just go crazy, looking pretty much like this.

last night i wore it to bed (I use Pillow to track my sleep) and it registered a heart rate of over 120BPM for like 3 1/2 hours straight, between 4AM and 8AM. my resting HR is typically in the mid-low 40s when sleeping.

it seems like a glitch to me, but it also measured this consistently 120-130bmp for 3 hours or so straight, with one random 42bpm measurement in the middle. i'm pretty sure i was awake at some point during that period (neighbors dog barking at like 6am) and would have noticed.

is this common? should i take my watch back and get a replacement? maybe i just need to clean the bottom sensor? how often do you guys clean your watches?

"Now playing" complication on Siri watch face disappears

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 02:42 AM PST

When I start listening to music the now playing card appears on the Siri watch face, but after a few minutes it goes away. Is there any way I can keep the card on the watch face for as long as music is playing?

Crashing / rebooting Series 4 randomly while using Infograph, maybe?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 04:52 AM PST

Still within first year of warranty, so I'm likely going to take it in to my local Apple Store. I just wanted to see if anyone else here experienced any crashing or the watch rebooting on it's own. It tends to happens the most in the morning within a few minutes after I unlock it (I use a passcode) but could be doing it and I haven't noticed. I've tried to troubleshoot this myself. It seems it only happens when I have one of the infograph complications, but I'm unsure if that it. I don't have many apps installed (only strong app) and I've unpaired/repaired this thing like 10 times and it's all up to date as far a software.

Should I get an Apple Watch?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 11:48 PM PST

I know this question probably gets posted a lot, but I know there will most likely be different responses every time. Is it worth it to get an Apple Watch being a college student/in general? If I could get some negatives along with the positives it would be much appreciated! (I'll be a college freshman next year)

PSA: If your Move ring isn’t moving as it should be - check your weight settings in Apple Health!

    Posted: 21 Feb 2019 12:47 PM PST

Over the last several months my Activity rings wouldn't ever close. my Exercise and Stand rings were always mostly closing as they should but I always assumed I was doing something wrong when my Move ring wouldn't even move.

After some research I discovered my weight settings in Apple Music were inputted incorrectly (inserting a number as LBS as opposed to Stone) so my weight was DRASTICALLY wrong for months and adjusted as such.

Weight corrected and now all is moving as it should. Wish I knew this sooner!

TIP: If you purchase a WiFi scale it sends the info automatically to Apple Health and adjusts your activity as such 😊
