Idea for activity app on the iPhone. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 04:31 AM PST Any one else think it would be neat if the activity app on your phone showed your rings as they closed? Similar to how the clock app always shows the time and the calendar shows the date. Was looking at the home screen today and thought how sick that would to see your status from a glance. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 03:24 AM PST I barely see any third party notifications in my Siri watchface. They are turned on in the watch app on my iPhone, is there anything else I have to do? [link] [comments]

[Support] S4 40mm GPS - brand new, severe battery drain. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 06:39 AM PST Bought new from Best Buy two days ago. Yesterday I strapped it on and noticed before I even got to work, about an hour in it was down 20% from a full charge. The battery zeroed out before I made it home - that was about a 9 hour day with regular use of checking the time, receiving notifications and replying to a few messages, etc. Light to moderate use. Last night after reading other people's stories with S4 battery drain, I did the following after completing a full charge: -factory reset -unpaired and re-paired as a new watch -about two additional hours of normal use Battery still seemed to drain pretty quickly with a loss of 30% from a full charge in those two hours. The watch is currently running 5.1.3, which I have heard mixed things about in terms of battery life. Right now, I am at 88% with usage time sitting at 21 minutes usage and standby at 1h50m. Is this normal? I feel almost certain it's going to die again before the end of my day. I had an S3 GPS that I upgraded from, but the battery was fantastic on that. It was running 5.1.2 at the end and I got nearly two full days of use from one charge, and my usage patterns haven't changed. Can anyone give some insight into this? I hope I'm just slightly crazy. I'm not sure what else I can do. I don't really want to go back to the S3, I love the screen and responsiveness of the S4, but if there's no real fix for this then the second thoughts might overrule my preference. Please advise on first timer Apple Watch? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 02:27 AM PST Hey everyone, started being in interested in health/sleep trackers. Wanted to buy a Xiaomi Mi Band 3, but it has mixed reviews regarding accuracy. Since I have an iPhone and AirPods I decided to go for the Apple Watch. But I want to get the best value/price so I don't know which one to get. Could any of you reccomend one of these at these price ranges? Also is it worth getting used ones? Apple Watch 3 210$ (used) Apple Watch 3 340$ (new) Apple Watch 4 490$(new) Apple Watch 2 160$ (used) Apple Watch 1 120$ (used) I'm not a swimmer but I would like to be able to also swim with it, my main uses will be notifications, calendar management, recording training and sleep( accurately). I would be helpful if anyone had any words of advice. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 05:27 AM PST Hi guys ! I know similar questions are often asked, but I couldn't find nice and precise answers to mine. Can the Apple Watch series 4 (LTE and/or GPS) get the altitude without using GPS coordinates, for instance via an actual altimeter ? Also, is there an actual barometer in the Apple Watch series 4 (LTE and/or GPS) ? Finally, if there's a barometer and/or an altimeter, can a third-party app (that I want to code) read the values from these sensors ? Thanks to those who'll take the time to answer me ! My watch thinks I'm standing up when I'm sitting on my butt Posted: 27 Feb 2019 08:01 AM PST Newish watch owner, bought a watch in December. Everything was working fine until about a month ago. Sometimes, not every time, when I'm at my desk I'll get the '10 min to stand!' alert. A couple of times a week I'll stay seated doing whatever work I'm doing, but for whatever reason my watch will congratulate me for standing. Is this just a limitation w/ the software, or is something not working right? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 07:23 AM PST Did anyone else experience a redness and itchiness when initially switching from the Sport Band to the Sport Loop? I've been wearing the Loop for about a day and I plan to ride it out for a week like other people have suggested, but was curious on others experience. [link] [comments]
Manage notifications when iPhone physically connected to TV? Posted: 27 Feb 2019 07:11 AM PST I physically connect my iPhone to my TV (using a Lightning to HDMI adapter) to do exercises through an app that runs the exercise video. When doing this any notifications get sent to my watch, when I'd prefer that they pop up on the TV instead so I don't miss them. How do I manage where notifications show up in this scenario? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Feb 2019 07:04 AM PST I know it hasn't been sold in quite some time by Apple, but is there ANYWHERE that I can purchase one? It's the only color I like, and I really do prefer the material on the sports loop. [link] [comments]

Need recommendation for band to pair with silver stainless steel 42mm AW. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 04:46 AM PST I am a long aw user but I've only used black sport band and milanese loop that came with it. Although I really like both of them I'd like to try some other watch bands. Any recommendations? Also I would welcome a suggestion to watchface to pair with it 🙂 Sry for my bad english, english is not my native language. [link] [comments]
Just say "No!" to subscription Posted: 27 Feb 2019 03:59 AM PST Unless I simply cannot live w/o an App, I refuse to be a sucker and shell out month after month, year after year, to use an app. Period. YMMV. If enough of us just walk away and refuse, the app developers will have to reconsider whether moving to the subscription mode makes economic sense for them. [link] [comments]
Pedometer++ and StepsApp complications don’t update unless I open the apps. Posted: 27 Feb 2019 02:39 AM PST I have background app refresh disabled; but aren't complications supposed to ignore BAF settings and update at least every 30 minutes? Thanks in advance for your feedbacks... [link] [comments]
