Siri Remote Keeps Controlling Vizio Soundbar Volume Posted: 26 Feb 2019 06:04 PM PST Apple TV 4k Siri Remote keeps controlling Vizio Soundbar. I do not want this. Everytime I turn the volume up or down on the Apple TV remote for the TV, it also turns on and adjusts the volume on the Soundbar. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Offline viewing tips- getting my iTunes library available for watching in a camper Posted: 26 Feb 2019 05:54 PM PST Is the simple solution to download the movies to a laptop/external hard drive then is an HDMI cable to hook the laptop up to the TV in my camper? This seems a little expensive to get set up (having to buy a laptop for this purpose) can you recommend anything else? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Feb 2019 05:43 AM PST every time I turn my Apple TV off with the remote it turns off the TV itself and the ATV and my soundbar. but, the TV and the Apple TV turn back on every single time now. if it matters the Soundbar is Vizio and the TV is a 2017 LG OLED. [link] [comments] |

Choppy Airplay from Macbook but not phone?? Posted: 26 Feb 2019 10:07 AM PST When I try to stream from my Macbook to my AppleTV (YouTube, Sports Streams, etc) the video is extremely choppy. If I do this from my phone (the same source) it is fine. Any help? The AppleTV is from like 2010-2012, iPhone is 7S and the Macbook is a Pro and brand new. [link] [comments] |
Frustrating issues with ATV4k and Denon X1400h Posted: 26 Feb 2019 12:36 PM PST Hi, I recently got a few new pieces of hardware: An ATV4k, Denon X1400h, and Vizio P65-f1. I've got it set up such that the ATV -> Receiver -> TV. I've been having some serious issues with sound and I'm at my wits end, hoping somebody has some advice. There is intermittent sound coming through the speakers when the ATV appears to be in some sort of "native" mode of sound output -- I rarely get navigation click sounds or sound from apps/shows that don't send some sort of higher quality (?) sound such as Youtube or some show on the Bravo app. But if I do something as simple as peruse Netflix, the "autoplay" will fire up and I get sound. I'll also get sound with content I play through Plex/Infuse. I thought this could have been an HDMI cable issue. I was using Monoprice Premium Certified cables and eventually broke down and bought the Belkin cable from Apple to no avail. I plugged in an old Fire TV stick to the receiver and got the same issues with not getting navigation clicks. The kicker here is that if I go direct ATV -> TV, or even just shut the receiver off and pass through the signal, I hear navigation clicks and other sound just fine through the TV speakers. So I was thinking this might be an issue with the receiver. But then I tried connecting my Macbook Air (Mini DisplayPort -> DVI -> HDMI) straight to the receiver, and I got audio playing out the speakers. If I hit the "info" button on the receiver remote, I get some info that says "signal: unknown" when I'm on the tvOS home screen (w/o sound). If I hit that button when Netflix is autoplaying, for example, it says "signal: PCM". I've tried all different sorts of configurations, cable swaps, diagnostic tests, and the sound issue I'm describing just keeps happening unpredictably. Does anybody have any other ideas? Thank you.
