    Welcome to our weekly stickied App thread! This is a new idea so please feel free to offer your feedback about this thread or the subreddit in general in the comments. As usual if you have a serious issue with the subreddit please contact the moderators directly.

    This thread is intended to help members of the /r/iphone community get informed about new apps that are out there. App developers may also use this thread to make users aware that their new app exists.

    Please sort comments by 'new' to find questions/information that would otherwise be buried.

    In this thread you can ask any iOS app related question that you may have. Anyone may offer advice on any issue.

    Two examples of potential questions could be; "How do I learn to code an app?", or "How is app pricing determined?"

    My little headphone adapter dealie broke. So apple care is sending a new one. Overnight from Fedex. 400 miles, to a DIFFERENT F’ing COUNTRY! I’m not sure whether to be super impressed, or disgusted by the waste. There are a dozen “authorized apple stores” and a few real ones around me.

    I downloaded a large update, did Apple remove the 150mb limit

    [Question] iPhone / iOS Music sorting is annoying

    When syncing your "intelligent" playlists from MacOS to iOS it displays a randomly chaotic order of music in a list whereas on Mac you can choose to display in various ways, e.g. album view. Is there any way to show album view sorted by year on iOS or use another app to access the music library?

    Ghost touching issue on X

    2 days ago my phone would be unresponsive at some times and touch by it self but once I do a force reset it's all time. Last night it got real bad where I couldn't even text or scroll through reddit or anything without my phone touching the top of the screen to scroll up or just being unresponsive.

    My screen is cracked as well BUT it's been cracked since end of summer so I highly doubt it's because of that. I have an appointment with apple today and was hoping what options they'll give me? I figured best case if they replace my screen for free because of the ghost touching issue and I'm still under warranty and worst case force me to pay the $279.

    Is there any way to tell which playlist is currently playing?

    In the music app, other than going into each playlist and looking for the now playing icon on a song, i know of no way to tell what playlist is playing.

    "Must unlock phone to use accessory" only when at a certain location

    I get this message when I'm leaving my local gym and plug in my iPhone 6S into my car's USB to play music + charge. I have NEVER received this message in the past 3 years of owning this phone. I don't know if it has something to do with the location (my gym) or iOS 12 since I updated to iOS 12 and joined the gym at around the same time.

    I turn off most GPS location services on my phone including on most System Services. I'm curious if it has to do with the phone being still for a certain time frame at a public place, for security reasons, incase it is stolen.

    I can live with it. Just curious as to what is actually going on here.

    Help with watching embedded videos

    Checked the rules, don't think I'm breaking any.

    I have an iPhone XS. Whenever I'm on a forum or a news article with an embedded video, it automatically opens to full screen on both Safari and Chrome. Can this be changed? I like to watch videos while being able to read commentary or the news article that is with it.

    Freaky red X popped up on my iPhone home screen, then disappeared WTF!?

    Ok, this is the second time this had happened. The first time was right after I got the phone (this past September) and I was visiting NYC and was right by the World Trade Center and this red X flashed on my screen then disappeared. Freaked the shit out of me. It happened again last night, and I got a screen shot this time. I clicked the home button and it went away. What is up with this??

    Im looking to switch to Apple because of privacy concerns, im currently using a ZTE Axon 7, what phone would you recommend for $150-$200?

    TBH I feel dirty using an Android phone because of the more recent privacy concerns with Google. I was thinking of sticking with the ZTE for 2 more years and getting the latest iphone or just get a cheap one now.

    New iPhone XR - How an I see the battery percentage on the screen along with the Wifi status?

    Coming from a 7S where I could see the battery percentage next to the battery icon on the top right of the screen. Now, with the XR, that's not possible due to the lack of main menu space. I can check the battery percentage through an app, but I really liked it up there on the menubar so I could check it at a glance, as well.

    This accessory may not be supported... only on my device

    So this charger that I've been using for a while suddenly decided to not be supported. I tried cleaning the charger port, changing outlets, everything. Nothing would get it to work. The weird thing is, I had other people attempt to use the same charger and it worked fine. I then tried a different charger from the same brand and that worked just fine too. Any ideas? Any ways to get around the glitch?
