iOS Gaming Love for the SteelSeries Nimbus

iOS Gaming Love for the SteelSeries Nimbus

    Love for the SteelSeries Nimbus

    Posted: 10 Jan 2019 07:30 AM PST

I have had iphones and iPads for years. Being a long time PC gamer I always found trying to play games on the iphone or iPad to be problematic (beside the stupid IAP, ADs, Paywalls, etc) because of controlling things on the touchscreen just did not work well for me. So many games I have and played such as KOTOR, Legos Star Wars, Modern Combat 5, Galaxy on Fire 2 HD, etc I had a hard time enjoying or playing well because of the touchscreen.

Then I bought a Nimbus last week. Wow! it has breath life (not just new life) into those games and I can play them so much better! Not sure why I never considered a mfi controller before but all I can say is if you game with any iOS device using just the touchscreen and have a hard time I cannot recommend a Nimbus enough.

I have such a backlog of games to play on my iPad Pro now and not enough time!

    Any new great MMORPGs?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2019 07:16 AM PST

I cannot believe Blizzard didn't go for a WoW mobile game rather than diablo. From what I can tell, there is a big lack of a non-p2w mmo with decent graphics, large population, and good gameplay?

I tried runescape, but I just cannot get along with the graphics and gameplay unfortunately..

Perhaps someone can recommend another game for me to try out?

    Gunbound - childhood favorite

    Posted: 09 Jan 2019 07:49 PM PST

Many years ago in grade school, we used to play a game called Gunbound for PC. Turn based-online-tankish-shooter, similar to Worms I guess.

Found out it was on Mobile tonight, and supports the XS Max screen resolution. Good memories.

    Random post. Check it out

How do you create an account for Ragnarok M w/o binding it to FB/Google?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2019 12:19 AM PST

Seriously, I've been playing for a few hours but I can't chat on a Guest account.

If I have to bind to G/FB I'll delete the game.

    Rogue like Card Game Recommendations?

    Posted: 09 Jan 2019 05:57 PM PST

I've recently started playing Night of the Full Moon and absolutely love it. I'm looking for similar games that you guys have played and enjoyed. Currently, I've played Solitairica and have Meteorfall on my App Wish. I love the artwork for the two and would like to try to stay with something similar, but I'm open to new ideas as well. Portrait mode is a HUGE plus and I'm more inclined to purchase an app to avoid IAPs, but am open to free apps as well. I've heard about Dream Quest, but I'm trying to stick with portrait mode as much as possible. Arthritis sucks.

Also, I'm aware that there are previous posts asking for something similar, but they seem to have been from a while ago. I have no problem with older games at all, but fresh reviews and recommendations would be nice. :)

How is the performance of Civilization VI on the iPad Pro 10.5"

    Posted: 10 Jan 2019 06:15 AM PST

Just got my first iPad and I'm interested in Civ 6 since it's currently on sale. My iPad is a 10.5 with 256GB storage. Does this generation of iPads run Civ VI well? What issues have you encountered?

    Thanks in advance.

What is your favorite **genre** of iOS games?

    Posted: 10 Jan 2019 05:56 AM PST

What is your favorite genre of iOS games?

    • add a comment if yours favorite genre is missing
    • upvote if you find your favorite
    • add an example you are adding a new genre not necessarily iOS game (in case no good games exist in that genre yet)

What are your favourite games for the iPad with no IAP’s?

Recommend - I only got into iOS games in the last year, but I'm eager to see what creative ideas I've missed in the meantime.

    Anyone remember Glyder?

    Posted: 09 Jan 2019 02:29 PM PST

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glyder_2

I loved Glyder and its sequel, and I was bummed when constant changes to iOS forced Glu to abandon the game. Is anyone aware of anything similar, featuring open-world and flight/gliding mechanics?

    Looking for fun launch/distance games!

    Posted: 09 Jan 2019 10:58 AM PST

    Hey all!

I always love a good launch/distance style game, where you gradually upgrade and can launch farther and farther. The best I've found recently is Burrito Bison: Launcha Libre, but I'm having trouble finding others. Any recommendations?

What other games have you played with chill, low stakes game modes like Zen from the Alto's Adventure/Odyssey? This can include console games! Thanks

    Crossy Road review

    Posted: 09 Jan 2019 10:01 PM PST

Why did the chicken cross the endless road? To get to the other side?

One of the more simpler games on the App Store. Crossy Road, an endless hopper, is a game about a chicken trying to making it to the other side of an endless road without dying.

The controls are pretty simple. Tap to advance forward one step and swipe to move in a certain direction. Avoid any obstacles in your way and collect coins to buy new animals and creatures to swap between games and help them cross the endless road.

There's not much else to say about this game because of its simplicity. There are no power ups or different levels to explore. No in game content to really change the way you play. You just pick it up and play.

If you've ever played Frogger then you'll feel right at home. The game is free and in app purchases are available but not necessary to enjoy it. With cute sound effects and calming gameplay I'd recommend giving this game a go if you have a few minutes to spare.
