What happens when you cancel your extra iCloud storage plan? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:07 AM PST Hypothetically if I were unable to afford my iCloud plan (50GB storage for $1.29 each month), what happens to the 45GB remaining (since 5GB is for free. Does the remainder of this storage become unaccessible until you pay for it again? [link] [comments]
Is there a way to test battery wear on a 10.5 iPad Pro? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:41 AM PST I know the iPhones now have the ability to check the battery wear in settings but is there a way to check that with a 10.5" iPad Pro? I don't have the money to afford a new iPad and have had my 10.5 since launch. I mostly use for school and rely heavily on Notability. Thanks! Also, I'd like to hear any comparisons between the two if anyone has used both. [link] [comments]
External storage device? No WiFi access Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:06 AM PST Long story short.. I'll be traveling for the better part of a year without my computer or most likely even WiFi. I'm wanting to watch quite a few shows/movies while I'm gone. Is there a way to have video files on an external hard drive/sd card, and transfer them over to the iPad? Since my iPad won't hold all of the files at once? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Writing apps for 1st Gen iPad (iOS 5.1.1) Posted: 31 Jan 2019 05:17 AM PST Hey, guys. I bought a 1st Gen iPad as something cheap and relatively small (smaller than my laptop) to take with me on the go and I wondered if there were any good/usable writing apps that would still be compatible with the older hardware so I can carry on with my writing while I'm out and about and I'd like to use something other than the Notes app. [link] [comments]
How is Duet Display(Pro) on iPad Pro 11 and Windows 10 desktop? Posted: 31 Jan 2019 02:04 AM PST I've been wanting to get an iPad Pro as a simple entertainment device, but also as an "amateur-cintiq". Since my production computer is a Windows 10 machine, I was wondering how Duet Display runs on iPad Pro 11. I've compared some early 2017 videos with 2018 videos and things look a lot more smoother and now it supports GPU acceleration. However, I could not find any videos with newer iPad Pros and latest build of the app. I'm just really curious to how it performs now. So how usable is iPad Pro 11 + Duet Display as a drawing monitor? Also, how smooth is video playback at 60Hz and web surfing? Thanks! [link] [comments]
What’s your ideal iPad Pro setup (and why) Posted: 31 Jan 2019 11:41 AM PST What is YOUR ideal iPad Pro setup and why? One of the reason I love it is that I can minimize my gear - this is really able to do most of what I did on my laptop plus tablet with its beast of a processor/gpu. But, since I'm not wanting to just add more gear for the sake of it, I'm trying to decide what is worth it and what isn't. Since I'm moving away from my laptop, is it worth adding a few extra pieces to the iPad Pro accessories? I currently have the Smart Keyboard Folio (since it's one of the few keyboard options available ATM) but for instance, I know Brydge is coming out with a pretty killer keyboard in the next couple of months. I love the idea of the backlight plus the additional function buttons but I'm not sure it's something that I'd want to take everywhere when I have the smaller Folio Keyboard that keeps the package thin and light. Do you see purpose in purchasing both? Having more productivity when at home/work with the larger backlit keyboard with more keys and keeping the folio for being on the move? Is it worth it to just ignore the additional productivity and keep the Folio Keyboard only? What about a seperate case? I'm kind of in love with the Zugu Muse case but I don't know if it's worth it to have an additional case that would be used part time or if the extra functionality and protection that it offers is worth it. So, what's your ideal iPad Pro setup and why? Is it one keyboard or two or none or something else? Do you like a totally separate unattached BT keyboard? I almost wish I could make that work because then the Zugu case could stay on all the time & just use an external keyboard when needed but I can't figure out how to make that work well when on my lap, which is how I use the iPad Pro most. Do you want to add a skin for scratch protection on the sides with a folio case? Do you have the Apple Pencil? How about a USB-C dock? Other add-on peripherals? Screen protector? Matte or tempered glass? Do you like to keep it simple with the fewest accessories or do you like more options for additional productivity? Please share what you think and your ideal setup. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Jan 2019 12:13 AM PST I already own a 30w usb pd charger but do not own a cable. I was thinking about getting a usb-c to lightning cable ment to be used for iphone xs which will have 18w capacity i believe. With those combination will it charge my ipad pro 10.5" in 18w? Is the time difference significant from 12w charger? [link] [comments]
Exporting Microsoft powerpoint with annotated slides Posted: 30 Jan 2019 07:25 PM PST When taking notes in class I often write directly on the ppt slides with my apple pencil, and the powerpoint slides are synced to my OneDrive account. However, when I graduate next term I would no longer have the 5TB storage provided by my school, so I was hoping to migrate my files to my personal google drive account. Is there any way to upload them as google slides AND be able to keep the drawings? I know that exporting them as pdfs will keep the annotations but it would certainly go over my 15GB limit and I don't want to pay for extra storage :') [link] [comments]
