[Question] iTunes and iOS 12.1.2 Posted: 11 Jan 2019 05:37 PM PST I went to sync my iPhone today with iTunes and it prompted me to update my iPhone to iOS 12.1.2, which I thought I already had installed. I took a screenshot of the build number before and after the update. I had 12.1.2(16C101) before and 12.1.2(16C104) afterwards. Was this just a release to fix a few bugs, or did I miss an update somewhere? Fun fact: I haven't done an iOS update via iTunes for at least 8 years! submitted by /u/Rctul786 [link] [comments]

[Question] Restore from backup if new phone is on iOS beta? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 04:39 PM PST I had an iPhone X on the most recent iOS beta. Today, I got an XS Max. I set up as a new phone, installed the newest beta, and then erased all content and settings. When it came back, my iCloud backup still did not work. When I set up as a new device again, it was back on the old iOS. How do I fix this? I did try to search... perhaps I was searching for the wrong terms so I do apologies if this has been addressed.
