I called support and they told me to select each individual photo ... i have about 15,000 photos... so they want me to select each individual one to delete. they said there is no way to delete all. | Mysterious FT calls “answered on other device” when there is no other device. Posted: 12 Jan 2019 08:26 AM PST Hey folks, recently I've been getting some bizarre calls that abruptly end as soon as it rings. I check my phone but there's no notification about missing a call or anything! So I assumed it was a glitch or something and moved on. However I noticed in my call log there are FaceTime calls from the UK (I currently live in the US) that are being answered "from another device", hence the lack of missed FT call notification. Sometimes the call is not answered by the other device and continues to ring on mine. I have not tried answering any of them yet. I got extremely confused and freaked out, so I changed my password (which it then prompted me if I wanted to sign out of all devices, and I confirmed yes). I signed back into iCloud on my iPhone and MacBook Pro but I checked the MBP and it does not have FaceTime signed in. I confirmed through the devices list in both my settings and the Apple ID website that these two are the only signed in devices. However the problem is still persisting.... I changed my password again and decided to sign out of my MBP too so now it's just my phone that's left signed into iCloud. I'm waiting to see if I'll still get anymore calls answered but I shouldn't have gotten any after the first password change because as I mentioned, the MBP has never been signed into FT. | Choosing a new laptop. The best generation. Posted: 12 Jan 2019 10:49 AM PST My late 2011 15" MacBook Pro died today. Suddenly a lot of horizontal stripes and couldn't get past the login before it crashed. After some research I found that I was experiencing the common GPU problem where the soldier just went bad (because they used lead free solder apparently). This apparently can be solved by reflowing the solder on the GPU chip but that is probably not going to last very long. I would like to avoid these kind of technical problems in a possible new apple laptop (air or pro). Is there data known about what generation has the highest build quality and least known problems? A recent post for example is already discussing the weak flat cables in the 2016+ builds. Or the butterfly keyboard which seems to breaks down due to specks of dust. What is you guys advice? Is this normal or is there something wrong? Edit: I realized that this description is very bland. This doesn't happen when a picture is taken and isn't visible when taking a video. | 27-inch iMac 2012 Windows 10 Driver issue Posted: 12 Jan 2019 04:36 PM PST Hi everyone. So sometime in the recent past (I'm not sure when only noticed now) my Facetime HD Camera stopped working. The device is seen and it won't update. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the device, rebooted, and basically everything I can do. I don't have a mac keyboard and I haven't booted into OSX since 2012. Is there a way for me to get the appropriate drivers? Google wasn't very helpful. Or if anyone has a 2012 and could run the software and upload the drivers to Mega or something? [link] [comments]  |

Even after charging for some hours and trying any number of combinations of power, home, and volume buttons, it will not turn back on. Is there a fix for this, or should I go to the Apple Store? | iPhone 6s battery needs service even though it was replaced 6 months ago Posted: 12 Jan 2019 11:07 AM PST I've been using an iPhone 6s on for the last 3 years with mostly no problems. For about 2 years I've been on iOS 10. After the iPhone battery slowdown controversy, I replaced my iPhone battery at an Apple authorized service provider 6 months ago and everything was fine. Then last month, I updated my iPhone to iOS 12 and the battery life has been crap ever since. The battery drains 30-40% in an hour even when it's in standby mode and my phone's started randomly turning off where the battery will be at 60-70% and it suddenly reboots. When it reboots, the battery is 10%. I've disabled peak performance after the first shutdown but my phone still randomly restarts every couple of days. Now I'm debating whether I should go back and get my battery replaced but it's only been 6 months since I've replaced the battery and now it's telling me to replace the battery. I'm willing to pay for a battery replacement but I think it's odd that the battery has degraded very quickly in 6 months. Does Apple/authorized service providers have a warranty on iPhone battery replacements? [link] [comments]  |

So far I have not found a way for them to trigger as a download / share / save to files / etc (I even tried using chrome and other browser apps instead). On a computer or mac there is no problem. I have tried editing the URL so the file extension is the end of the link. Doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I have downloaded PDFs and all sorts of other stuff just fine, it might be the website but the website seems to be mobile friendly otherwise. Thank you. | iTunes Store AppleID vs. App Store AppleID Posted: 12 Jan 2019 06:05 PM PST My wife originally set up her iTunes account under an @excite.com account (back in ye olden days). As you know, these emails are no longer accessible. When she setup her iPhone she somehow set up her iTunes store account to the @excite.com ID, but the rest of the phone is hooked to her @gmail.com ID. How do I fix this? For instance, to purchase/select an app in the App Store I have to authenticate as her @gmail.com ID. Then when the app actually begins to download it requests her @excite.com ID. (Which, BTW, we don't have the credentials for anymore, and our ability to reset the password for it is nil with @excite.com being gone.) Oddly, even though Touch ID is turned on the App Store also always asks for her @gmail.com ID password. When I open Settings -> iTunes & App Store the Apple ID listed there is her @gmail.com ID. Trying with 2 different MBPs to connect to a brand new external monitor. It's worked once in about 100 tries. PC works flawlessly every time. What is the issue? Monitor and HDMI working fine. I just wanna know is there any software/apps/terminal tricks that'll prevent a hibernation while plugged in / on low battery, or any method to prevent ANY shutdown in Mac OS that isn't initiated by me (like a critical battery shutdown basically... so basically letting it run all the way through). I've goggled and couldn't find anything. Bit of a backstory behind it... Just the other day I bought a Macbook Pro Mid-2012 13" with "Battery Issues" at $300 NZD (it was cheaper for me at the time) and it has intermittent shutdowns. It'd shutdown randomly (according to seller) since upgrading to Mojave. So far I've tried resetting NVRAM/PRAM, the SMC, downgraded to High Sierra, used Boot Camp, even re-installed a new battery (according to the seller, his story checks out). I bought it because while it has issues, I needed something more powerful for my future endeavours. Sometimes the battery status disappears. However, after resetting the SMC (I do this every boot) the battery percentage shows as it should and I noticed that on battery it'll cut out randomly as if it died at any time (not even hibernating). When plugged in, it'll just Hibernate. When booting back up it'll think there is no battery installed. The battery installed is new and the seller was kind enough to ship w/ both old and new batteries. Same symptoms on both batteries, So I figured it'd be the logic board that's f***ed up, or something else inside. I'll get that serviced in the next few months maybe. For as long as I can't afford the funds I'm basically looking for a cheap half-baked solution to mend inconveniences for the time being. Any help would be appreciated. There is literally no way to buy premium from within the app. Ive even gone to the settings > account etc.. Just directs me to the premium tab and I still can not tap anything. It just does nothing. Posted: 12 Jan 2019 11:48 AM PST My dad gave me his old Apple TV last year since he rarely used it, but he couldn't find the remote, so I've never connected it to anything. I'm pretty sure it's still signed in to all his information and it's never been connected to my WiFi. I know there's a way to do it with an HDMI cable and the WiFi box but I can't move my router to my living room (I tried, it won't connect, I talked to Cox and everything) or my tv to where the router is (it's mounted on the wall) so is there anything I can do? Upon receiving another text from the gc, I found that my messages were now sending as text messages. I left the conversation and came back, only to find it was still sending as a text message, is there a solution? Do I just need to leave or what? Please help as I'm incredibly frustrated with this.
