Would some of you guys be interested in seeing how games perform on iPadOS using a PS4/XB1 controller ? Posted: 25 Jun 2019 09:55 PM PDT So I know that some of you already know the most popular games such as Fortnite & Real Racing 3 can be played with a PS4/XB1 Controller for those that are running the iPadOS beta 2. I plan on downloading a few other games that actually support PS4/XB1 Controller and actually playing the game and seeing how it runs as I honestly have not come across someone that has done this at the moment. I do have Grand Theft Auto , Stardew Valley in mind but what games would you guys be interested in seeing how they run. I have the iPad Pro 12.9 1TB 3rd Gen and want to know what you guys would like to see being played for those of you that are curious about gaming on an iPad. The games I will be playing will be those that are currently available on the App Store that are either free or that I would have to purchase. Let me know what games you guys would like to see and I'll try to make it happen. I am not sure if I could showcase emulators as its illegal but I'll see what I can regarding that if I can even show gameplay of me running an emulator on my iPad. Has anyone gotten a Magic Mouse 2 to connect in iOS13? Apple could’ve added more indentations to the Keyboard Folio for more viewing angles Posted: 26 Jun 2019 10:27 AM PDT I'm sick in bed right now and have the iPad on a pillow that's on my lap, and the angle of the iPad is a little awkward, and when adjusting the two angles of the Keyboard Folio, I realized there could've been more indentations that could've worked in between the two indentations that we already have. I found the sweet spot right in between the two lines... it can even work if you go behind the 2nd line. 11 iPad Pro with External Monitors Posted: 26 Jun 2019 10:18 AM PDT I currently own a 1080p monitor (Dell U2417H) and was looking to upgrade to a 4K display. When mirroring the iPad display to the monitor, I have borders on all four sides, which I would expect as the 11 in iPad is mirroring its new aspect ratio to a monitor with 16:9 aspect ratio. The 12.9 in iPad seems to have more success as its mirroring a 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9, so there are only borders on the sides, I get it. ​ After researching quite a few different monitors, I am seeing some inconsistencies in the way the 11in iPad mirrors its display to 4K monitors with the same exact resolution / aspect ratio. ​ For example LG 4K UltraFine Display (24MD4KL) vs. LG UltraFine 4K Display (32UL950). Why would there be borders only on the sides for the first monitor, but on all four sides for the second? I verified this on the 9to5Mac reviews for the two monitors. Is it because the first monitor was developed with use of Apple products in mind? ​ Again, I am only talking about the 11in iPad Pro with its unique aspect ratio. I’ve really been digging iPad OS, Posted: 25 Jun 2019 04:44 PM PDT From the multitasking to the desktop class safari, I've been really enjoying using my iPad more than ever. It's really been my go to creative tool, I can even fully use websites like wix (a lot of my clients use it), which was the main reason why I had to keep my mbp on me at all times. Yes, I'll still need my MAC for certain tasks, but I can now keep it at home without worry. Back on iOS 12 #ipadOS Posted: 25 Jun 2019 11:54 PM PDT With so many success stories here I want to share couple of reasons why wait with the upgrade. With public Beta out I didn't want to wait anymore so made a jump too... and now I'm back to iOS 12. Reasons: Never ending respring of the iPad Pro when Smart Keyboard was attached (doh! keyboard is kind of a big deal for me) Occasional re-spring with apps like Slack Mail App did behave funny (sometimes not downloading email for quite some time) and crashing. Managed to get 2x stuck in split mode and couldn't get out of it (one blank screen) and power off stopped working. ​ So if your iPad [Pro] is your main driver - or very important to your flow - hold your horses :) Don't get me wrong I love a lot of new features iPadOS brings, but having stable device is more important for me submitted by /u/radimm [link] [comments]

WhatsApp Web & Safari Desktop Class Posted: 26 Jun 2019 02:50 AM PDT Hi, I don't know if I am the only one, but with iPadOS and safari desktop class using WhatsApp web finally works every time! Back then I had to manually open the desktop version, delete cookies and caches in order to reach the desktop version again or download an ugly fishy app to use it on my iPad. Desktop Safari on iPad, means less need for apps? Posted: 25 Jun 2019 06:56 PM PDT Conventional wisdom says iPadOS & macOS Catalina sharing apps will reinvigorate Mac apps, which it probably will in many ways. But, full desktop Safari on iPad will mean less need for apps in the first place. Think about it, many apps were created because Safari mobile was a second class citizen. Need to use Google Docs, Twitter, Dropbox, Slack, even administer Office 365? Just go to the web, no need for an app. And these are just productivity apps. Elecom and Paperlike screen protectors comparison Posted: 25 Jun 2019 05:42 PM PDT Recently, I bought a matte screen protector for my iPad pro from the well-known brand "Paperlike". I used it for one week during which I couldn't stop noticing the grainy matte texture so I did some further research on other alternatives. Finally, I go and get the Elecom matte screen protector and replace the Paperlike one. Since I think people like me may also looking for suitable screen protectors for their iPad, I'd like to share my experience and compare between these two famous brands. ​ Graininess The biggest problem I cannot tolerate with the Paperlike is that the grainy texture is so obvious that I keep noticing the annoying distraction almost anywhere except for dark screens (such as while watching a movie). I went through quite a few reviews on both reddit and youtube and noticed that sp from the Japanese brand Elecom seems like providing better visual quality, though not many people are giving reviews focusing on this point. But I still went and bought one to try my luck. The conclusion is, yes, it's better than Paperlike, visually. Though matte sp cannot avoid grainy texture by nature, Elecom does make a difference in terms of the noticeability. I took picture of the display under both sps and you guys can directly tell the difference. https://i.redd.it/ayt3rb1njl631.png Glare As can be told from the pictures, the anti-glare property of Elecom is indeed worse than Paperlike. I guess it's a trade-off for better visual clarity? Since glare is not what I care about much, it's acceptable for me. ​ Roughness One large difference I can tell immediately after installing Elecom is the sand-like touch feeling. It's really like touching a sand paper, so maybe a bit uncomfortable for those who keep manipulating the device with fingers. For me, Apple Pencil is the more frequent input device than my fingers so still acceptable. Besides, the more roughness really brings more friction while writing and drawing on the screen with the pencil. Very likely it will wear out the pencil nib faster than Paperlike whose touch feeling is more gentle and smooth. ​ Installation convenience As for the installation, the stickers from the Paperlike to help align the sp with the screen is really handy. In comparison, the Elecom one is not as considerate and really requires me to be more cautious while aligning. But as long as the final installation is acceptable, the inconvenience is totally fine for me. It's just a matter of "good" vs "no" design. ​ Others Regarding shipping time, Paperlike took roughly two weeks to reach Singapore from Germany, while I can directly buy Elecom from local electronics stores (which encourages the impulsive purchase lol).. Price-wise, Paperlike costs 33 USD for two pieces while Elecom costs 25 USD for just one piece. ​ Conclusion The reasons why I insist using a screen protector are (1) I cannot tolerate the fingerprint while I have to clean everyday, (2) I do prefer a rough screen to write on more comfortably with the apple pencil. While satisfying both requirements, the Elecom one provides apparently better visual clarity than Paperlike and is the one more suitable for me. If "glare", "sandy touch", or "too-rough writing experience" is what matters to you more, probably you have to compare more. Let me know if there is any further question about the comparison between those two brands :) ​ FYI, the Elecom one is TB-A18LFLAPLL which they advertise as "kent paper type" with less friction than their previous model, and they do have an installation guide in English on their website :) submitted by /u/plusSignC [link] [comments]

If I open my thumbnails and click on the page I want to delete it will highlight ALL 13 pages. How can I just highlight one page to be deleted? I click on the one page, all pages get highlighted.
