Posted: 15 Jan 2019 12:18 AM PST And our consumer laws are way more tough than USA's. Basically, Apple BR doesn't give a fuck about Brazil's consumer laws and that's not the first time I've had an issue that ended up in a lawsuit. This is the latest one. I'm livid, but I'm well aware that Apple BR will get rekted once again because of that, since our judicial system is way more pro consumer than in the USA. In the USA, the responsibility would fall only with the reseller, authorized or not, but here in Brazil Apple has joint liability. I'm posting here more to vent, since the lawsuit is already filed. I'll keep y'all updated, if there's any interest. It'll take some months, but their reckoning will come. [link] [comments] |

People deep in the Apple ecosystem, do you use a Google Home product? Posted: 14 Jan 2019 09:13 PM PST I've been looking at a Home Hub recently since I have some spare Christmas money left over. I've been thinking about getting it for my bedroom. I use a few Google services (Gmail, Maps, Photos, YouTube Premium, some Calendar), but I'm deep in the Apple ecosystem as well. I'm basically wondering if it's worth the purchase and what limitations I should expect if I buy one. [link] [comments] |

AirPods Connectivity on iOS 12 Posted: 14 Jan 2019 03:41 PM PST Has anyone else noticed that AirPods connectivity has been really rough under iOS 12? 10/11 was just fine, connecting almost immediately, but with 12 I have to open the case, wait for the logo to pop up, then put them in my ears because if I do it any faster they don't connect. If I try to select them in the source menu with the music widget it just spins and won't connect either. I've deleted and repaired them, I've reset the AirPods, etc. Common denominator is iOS 12. Just wondering if anyone else had seen something similar? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Jan 2019 08:01 AM PST The only thing I am looking forward to with all this Marzipan talk is the potential for the iOS Reddit app Apollo coming to the Mac. I hate, hate, hate the reddit website. [link] [comments] |
Apple sending out emails comparing the iPhone XR to old iPhones if you haven't upgraded in a while? Posted: 14 Jan 2019 07:50 AM PST The email is directly comparing it to my old iPhone. Including the trade in price, and how it's up to 3 times faster. I haven't bought and iPhone since the 6+ and haven't had phone service on it in 2 years. I did get the battery replaced last year (couldn't resist for $29). Maybe that's why? Anyone else. It was just a very unexpected email from them lol. [link] [comments] |

Difficulty in pairing my iPhone X with my watch, with “watchOS 3.1.3, Your software is up to date” Posted: 14 Jan 2019 11:57 PM PST As title suggested, I'm having difficulties pairing up my watch and my phone. I have had this watch for around a year or two now, and I easily paired it up with my iPhone 6 Plus a while ago. I recently got a new phone, so I decided to pair my watch to this one instead. I went on my watch, General - Reset - Reset All (or something like that I don't clearly remember) I did nothing fancy on the phone, I just turn on bluetooth and that's it. When the watch shows "Select Language" then "Select Country," I did those. Then, I paired them using the camera, and later on the manual as well. It says "Your watch needs to be updated to the newest version" so I was like "Okay, go ahead." Except it dials for a second, then displays "watchOS 3.1.3, your device is up to date." No "continue" or "done" button. That's it. I tried all the methods I can on the internet, even clicking page 2 on google, but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help? It'd be greatly appreciated! Apple TV had worst way of displaying purchased tv shows Posted: 14 Jan 2019 09:20 AM PST So we have kids, and they like Paw Patrol. They sell seasons or packages on iTunes. We bought them the fall package last year that comes with 4 fall themed episodes. Then the other day they wanted to be this special 1 hour one-off episode called Mighty Pups. So now when they want to watch one of them, or god forbid I have to explain over the phone to my parents or in-laws, it's a mess to find. We go to the tv app. Go to Library. Then go to TV Shows. Find Paw Patrol and it's misleading because it's the cover for the Fall package. I keep scrolling around to find the Mighty Pups cover in our purchased tv shows and it's nowhere to be found. So I click on the Fall package for Paw Patrol, and it opens up iTunes on the Apple TV and goes right to the newest episode we bought, Might Pups. And that's it. It doesn't have the other episodes we purchased. We should have 5 episodes but it just shows the 1. Then I have to scroll up to the 'Seasons' tab in iTunes on the Apple TV. I click it, and it shows me all the seasons of Paw Patrol that they sell on iTunes. Not just seasons though, but packages too. They have all the seasons scattered in now particular order, with random packages thrown in all over the place. I have to scroll through it to find the Fall package. It's not labeled in any way to let me know that it's something I've purchased, it's just the same as the 20+ random packages and season thumbnails on the page. Once I find Fall package, I go into it, and find my 4 other episodes. If I want to go to Mighty Pups again, I have to go back and find it under all the seasons. Again, there's no way to know exactly what I own or even see a list of all the stuff I own, they're just in iTunes, and I have to remember what I've purchased so I can search for it. This is not how it should be. I go on my iPhone, go to the tv app, go to Library, go to TV Shows, click on Paw Patrol, and boom, all 5 episodes are right there. Not mixed up with non purchased shows, they're just the ones I've purchased. Why does the Apple TV have such a hard time at this? It's almost like the Apple TV wasn't made with the mindset that you'd be purchasing things on iTunes with it. [link] [comments] |
