    I've had my 6S for a while now, but it's definitely time for a new phone. The screen and battery both need to be replaced, and I lose my patience with it constantly.

    I usually don't care too much about what phone I own (the 6S was a gift after all) and I'm worried about shelling out too much cash for no reason. I'm a graduate student, and while I live on a generous stipend, spending $1K on a phone sounds a little silly to me.

    However, after moving to a larger city, I realize that I use my phone a lot more. Especially for getting work done on commutes and navigating the city in general. I find myself wishing for a better performing phone to replace carrying a camera around, getting better access to music/podcasts/reading material, and having more reliable communication (since my current phone has poor battery life, it shuts down on its own constantly, and is really slow).

    In general, is the iPhone XS worth it? My brother and father currently own it and they really love it so far. Or would the XR, X, or 8 be a more reasonable investment?

    Trade in for iPhone XR (Canada)

    Fellow Canadian here... I was wondering about the Apple trade in promotion (https://www.apple.com/ca/trade-in) and if it's a good deal? I would bring them two phones (iPhone 6S and iPhone 4) and pay for the rest, to trade in for the XR. Is the deal good for phones that are no longer being used?

    How to keep your battery lasting the longest

    There have been many different things I have heard regarding keeping your battery like new. I'm wondering if it's best to drain your battery completely down and then charge it up, or charge it as often as possible to keep the charge cycle count low. I have a brand new iPhone 8 Plus that I bought in early October, and my Battery Health has dropped to 97%

    Just curious, can XR users see the notch when displaying a black image?

    Since the XR uses LCD screens and can't achieve true black levels like the OLEDs is the notch or bezels visible when the screen goes black in those areas?

    This issue needs to be dragged out. It is absurd for a $1400 dollar phone. I have went through Apple support for only them to say, "we are waiting on a response from the engineers." I feel like Apple is ignoring a $1000+ problem and should make it right. I am having to toggle WiFi every 20 minutes because it drops, rendering any sort of app that streams video useless. If this issue isn't brought to light, it will be ignored by Apple... just like they did with the 5Ghz WiFi issue on the X.

    Edit: iOS 12.1. I've been having this issue since launch.

    How to set up custom Notifications on Telegram/WhatsApp?

    Hi! I returned to iPhone after some time with Android and I'm in love again! But I have a little problem, after I sync my custom .m4r ringtones and notifications they do not appear on Telegram or WhatsApp. Those apps just show me default ringtones. My custom sounds are all selectable from iPhone sound menu and they work fine. Is this a limitation from Telegram and WhatsApp?
