Big shout to Apple Watch for saving my butt Posted: 01 Dec 2018 05:38 AM PST Big shoutout to Apple Watch It's Friday evening. I'm the last person in the office. Trying to leave, but have to pee, so I run out to the restroom. I came back and the door was locked... office admin had locked it before she left. I didn't have my phone or keys on me and our building doesn't have a front desk in the lobby. I'm livid as custodians don't arrive until 6pm and it's 4pm. Luckily I had my watch and I was able to find and call the number to the office property managers. Someone came and opened up my office. I know my other option would be to go flag someone down or go to another office suite, but glad I was able to get it done with my watch. Even though I was converted into an Apple fanboy during college (had iPod Touch, Macbook, iPad, and iPhone), I used to think the watch was stupid and I'd never get one. Glad I hopped on the bandwagon. [link] [comments]

Pokémon Go watch App nowhere to be found Posted: 01 Dec 2018 12:23 AM PST Yesterday I've bought Pokémon, Let's Go Pikachu for Switch and wanted to get into Pokémon Go again. Unfortunately the watch App is nowhere to be found. It installs fine on my iPhone but not on my watch. It's also not listed in the watch App to be installed manually. I've checked the App Store and it clearly says "offers Apple watch App" so that can't be the issue. Does anybody have an idea how to fix it? iPhone X and Apple watch series 4, both latest public iOS/watchOS releases. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Nov 2018 12:15 PM PST Background: Oct 20 2015 - purchased Apple Watch Series 2 Feb 03 2016 - last backup of AWS2 Feb 14 2016 - AWS2 stolen! Suspect unknown Jul 26 2016 - Mysterious backup/restore point of AWS2?? Nov 29 2018 - Bought a new AW Series 4, see July 2016 restore point WHAT? Hey folks, I could use your help solving a curious mystery. In 2015 I purchased an AWS2 and loved it. On Feb 14th 2016 it was inside my backpack and stolen (valentines day bummer), never had any luck finding it. Passcoded, marked as lost in Find My Phone, never got a notification. I don't remember everything exactly that I did to lock it remotely, but I guarantee if it was possible with OS 2.1, I did it. Fast forward to yesterday. I just bought a new AWS4 and I'm setting it up. It asks if I want to restore from previous, and the date stamp on the most recent backup is 6 months AFTER the watch was stolen. So, I restored to this backup just out of curiosity. What can I look for in this backup to try and figure out where the backup came from? Could it have been accidentally backed up by the thief? I can't find any fitness data from this backup, though I'm sure i did do many workouts in 2015/2016. Fitness is the only thing on this list that would seem relevant to figuring out who used the watch from February 2016-July 2016. https://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/05/11/apple-watch-backup-content/ I just looked on my iPhone in General -> Storage -> Apple Watch app and see this same 7/26/2016 backup. Is it possible for an iCloud backup to get pushed from Watch to Cloud to the Watch app on my iPhone? Has anyone ever examined raw Apple Watch backup data, or know how to extract it from the Watch iphone app? Curious thing, would like to hear any ideas on what's going on here. thanks! Posted: 01 Dec 2018 12:27 AM PST Hi, so I want to start by saying that 3 days ago I got the apple watch 4 44mm. I customised my watch face and had a reminder complication on it. When I tried to add a new reminder everything worked great and it showed me the reminder on the watch face. Then a day later I tried to add another one and it didn't show up. I tried removing everything then adding only one and a million different combinations but it always said no more reminders. I switched to the calendar and made some events but nothing is showing up. The events and reminders are showing up in the apps on the watch (the default apple apps) but not on the watch face via the complication for the calendar. Does anyone have a similar problem or a solution? [link] [comments]
What band is this and where can I find the Small Band for it? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 10:05 PM PST https://imgur.com/a/GN9D1yv It's a legit Apple 42mm Band, But I don't know the actual name. GameStop told me it's was Midnight Blue but the ones I seen online is Stainless Steel. I'm just trying to find the Small band for this somewhere for sale. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Dec 2018 03:54 AM PST Just placed my order for the Stainless Steel 44m Gold Apple Watch Series 4!!! Won't be here till the 11th though. This will be my very first Apple Watch. Any tips and tricks I should know? [link] [comments]
Wireless pad for phone and watch? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:33 PM PST Any recommendations for a pad that will charge my iPhone and my Apple Watch? Seems like all the docks I see are a stand for the watch and a physical charger you connect to the phone. Would love something I can just lay my watch and phone on together. The very few I've seen are almost over 150$ [link] [comments]
Question for women wearing a series 4 Posted: 30 Nov 2018 08:02 PM PST I'm thinking of getting one as a gift for my sister but I was interested in seeing what seems to be popular among the ladies as far as size, material, color, band type, and band color. There may not be much of a consensus at all but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask. So which series 4 configuration is your favorite? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Nov 2018 07:44 PM PST I already went into my settings and made sure the tracking and everything was enabled. I wear my watch everyday and have had it for 2 years, I haven't had any problems with it so far it just stopped tracking activity the other day and I'm not sure how to fix it. Anyone have any idea? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 07:17 PM PST I was going to trade my old cracked iPhone 7 128gb unlocked for a Apple Watch series 1 42mm. Is this a good trade? [link] [comments]

Error question: no sound on phone call and "end call to continue"/can't get out of Call Ended screen Posted: 30 Nov 2018 02:41 PM PST Just had an odd glitch with my series 4 watch. My phone is plugged in and in another room (though possibly within bluetooth distance?). I answered a phone call on my watch, but didn't get any sound; I don't know if the other person heard me. Eventually they ended the call. Now I have the Call Ended screen up, but the red end call button does nothing and the digital crown does not return me to the main watch face. Instead, I just get a message that says End Call to Continue. I'm sure I can just restart and get out of this, but what I'm trying to figure out is why I'm stuck and also why I didn't hear the caller on the other end. Any help would be appreciated.
