So many magnets in the leather loop Posted: 27 Dec 2018 02:29 PM PST There are tons of magnets in the leather loop - it's clever how they used an array of 5 so that the tail stays lined up. There are two regions of magnets on the long tail, and one on the short tail, presumably to make threading the loop easier.https://i.imgur.com/bGjada3.jpg [link] [comments]
Face changes automatically based on GPS location Posted: 27 Dec 2018 10:26 PM PST While customizing my watch faces, I just thought it would be amazing if I could have several set up for specific locations. Home, Work, Gym, None of the Above, etc. For example, while I'm at home, I'd have my HomeKit on my watch face. When I leave, Maps, weather, traffic complications. Upon arriving at the gym, fitness stuff. I know I could change it manually, but it would be nice to have some kind of automation based on location. [link] [comments]
Has Apple forgotten about the Siri Watch Face Posted: 27 Dec 2018 05:25 PM PST Just got the Apple Watch 4 and I keep switching between the Siri Watch Face and the Infograph. Modular. I have been using the Siri Watch Face for at least a year now and there's a lot to like about it but I was really hoping for more by now. In fact, it would be nice to have Siri as the center complication on the Infograph Modular Face. Having said that, the Siri Face still shows me my one and only allowed stock all weekend long and doesn't show me options to turn off my lights even though I basically turn off the lights every night at around the same time. If you guys have ever set up the Google App, it sends regular notifications about any big gains and drops of all your individual stocks and big changes in weather. Not really sure what I was hoping for but the Siri Watch Face does seem a bit forgotten. [link] [comments]
HeartWatch users, do you notice a sensible battery drain with the Apple Watch complication ? Posted: 28 Dec 2018 07:23 AM PST HeartWatch users, do you notice a sensible battery drain with the Apple Watch complication ? I was wondering because I've heard here and there that those apps that shows your heartrate do use a significant amount of battery. I don't know if it could be design or because a bug. What's your experience so far ? The complication on the Infograph face seems pretty sweet but if it kills my AW twice as fast, not that useful. [link] [comments]
Can’t download EKG app (watch bought in Europe but now in US) Posted: 28 Dec 2018 07:17 AM PST I bought my watch in Germany and am temporarily back in the US for the holidays. Europeans laws haven't cleared the EKG for data protection reasons. At least, I'm assuming that. Anyway, I'm in the US again and have updated, have changed the region to here attempted to open the EKG in the health app with no success. Any tips? [link] [comments]
Any reason to suspect Apple might one day drop the current strap format? Posted: 28 Dec 2018 06:59 AM PST I cant really see any reason why future design revisions wouldn't support the current straps. But maybe i'm just not imaginative enough... [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Dec 2018 06:48 AM PST How does the health app actually work when it comes to standing up? I've also had problems where I'd be very active in the day, doing stuff most people would consider exercise, the watch would see that my active heart-rate throughout the day was 140+ for 10 hours, but only register 13 minutes of exercise. Is it just me or is the display on the SS S4 easier to scratch than the SS S0? Posted: 28 Dec 2018 06:41 AM PST I had an SS S0 and the sapphire display on that is still flawless to this day, or at the very lease appears flawless. I've discovered last night that if you rub it hard with your finger and hold up to the light in an exact certain way, it has micro-scratches. I discovered this by complete accident and honestly I think that's pretty cool, because never once before last night have I ever seen a single scratch on that thing from normal use, and even holding it up to the light you can't see anything. Only if you really mark the shit out of it and hit the light JUST right. But for the SS S4 which I got yesterday, the first one had a scratch that was really visible as soon as the light hit it only a few hours after bringing it home. I figured maybe this was a weird defect or something, so I brought it back for another, but sure enough after a couple hours of use on the new one that too has gotten a scratch in the middle. What's going on here? Is this sapphire (or the coating) easier to scratch on the S4? It's pretty disappointing because the whole point I got the SS was for the sapphire display which performed above and beyond on the S0, but seems to be just as fragile as the glass on the aluminum on the S4. If I had known that, I would've just gotten the aluminum and a Skinomi or something. It's definitely a scratch because it doesn't come out with a microfiber cloth. I know, I know, it's a watch and scratches from daily use are to be expected, but this is supposed to be the premium model with a scratch resistant sapphire screen with a bar set really high by the S0, and a scratch on Day 1? Come on now. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Dec 2018 06:03 AM PST I'm on the fence between going cheap and getting the series 1 or going for broke and getting series 4. One of the deciding factor is the haptic engine and how different is the feel between the two. I ask because I'll like to be woken silently and only with the vibration from the watch. I have a newborn baby girl and any sudden sound or movements and she'll let me have it the rest of the night with her wailing! Any help is appreciate it, thanks. [link] [comments]

Apple Watch Series 4 Battery Issues Posted: 28 Dec 2018 03:31 AM PST I've had a series 4 since late September. Over the last few weeks, I've noticed significant battery drain. I have raise to wake disabled. I have few apps on the watch. I have notifications turned off for most apps. I have black backgrounds for my watch faces. Last night, I charged the watch to over 90% as of 9:30 PM. I went to bed and turned on DND around 10:30. According to the Activity app, it died somewhere between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM. When I first noticed the issue, I power cycled the unit. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? [link] [comments]
Watch does not remember last input language used Posted: 28 Dec 2018 02:59 AM PST Since 5.1 my S4 does not start with the language set on my iPhone keyboard, instead it always defaults to english, I can deep press to change it to whatever, but next voice command in the same app in the same session starts again with english, not with the last language used. My S2 is still on older OS and wearing it is strangely more pleasurable than the new watch. It used to work fine until 5.1. Unfortunately it is still broken in 5.1.2 [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Dec 2018 01:48 AM PST I try to sync both Nike+ Training app and Nike+ Run app. But when I sync both app using the Nike+ Training app, it jumps to Nike+ Run app and it says, "Sorry, this link is unavailable. Try updating to the latest version of NRC." Which clearly the version of the Run app is already up-to-date! Can someone help me with this issue..? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Dec 2018 05:03 AM PST I have one since 2 years now but the amount of great (free) apps is very bad. Like Instagram and Twitter are gone, Spotify just recently got released, Facebook never came And no way to watch video or play songs directly from the watch speakers. Does anyone have an idea to fix those problems maybe by creating apps ? Thanks [link] [comments]
Alarm apps that require physical activity Posted: 27 Dec 2018 02:59 PM PST I'm the worst at waking up on time, and have somehow trained myself to turn off my watch alarms while still half-asleep. Does anyone know of any alarms that require physical activity to disable (preferably something that monitors heart rate, so I'd need to get up and get the blood pumping)? I came across NEWake a while back, which seems like exactly what I'm after, but it appears that it's not available in the US store. [link] [comments]
Misinformation about “Deliver Quietly” Posted: 27 Dec 2018 08:54 AM PST Many websites[1] claim that if you manage notifications on your Apple Watch and select deliver quietly, the notifications will appear in your Notification Center on both your watch and phone. This makes sense: after all, there is also an option to turn off notifications on the watch. However, on my Series 3 watch, the menu on the watch says that when deliver quietly is enabled, notifications will go directly to the Notification Center on your phone and not appear on your watch at all. This is weird, because it seems to make it identical to "disable on watch." What's going on? Is there a way to just deliver notifications quietly to both the phone and the watch?
