| Problems with ATV and Spectrum Posted: 23 Dec 2018 09:41 AM PST We recently switched from Frontiers 150Mb connection to Spectrum 400Mb connection. All of my wireless devices are working great, and my speeds are 400-600Mb!! My 4th Gen Apple TV is hard wired to the router and my speed using the speed test app is only 30Mb! I've tried swapping cables, the cables are all Cat 5E, no change. I've tried different ports on the router, no change. If I connect my Apple TV wirelessly, the speed jumps up to 400. My PS4 is also hard wired and when I checked the speeds on it, they were over 300Mb. What could cause my Apple TV to run so slow when hard wired to my router? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple TV 4K to 1080P Component Video Posted: 23 Dec 2018 02:07 PM PST We have a Component video home distribution system. Currently using a Radio Shack HDMI to Component video and stereo audio. It works well but on some content with dark scenes There is a lot of pixelated dark areas and some purple shading. Anyone have a converter they recommend? I've tried one on Amazon but it had worse issues. Running ATV at 1080P SDR, RGB high. Match content off. Any suggestions appreciated. FWIW we have a second ATV 4K connected to a 4K TV so we get the intended experience there. [link] [comments]  | ||

This is ridiculous. We have the DirectTv subscription at home and use it frequently, but I want to stop wasting away this money on something we don't use that often. We already have Apple TV in the house, and I was thinking about ditching the DirectTV subscription for the cabin. I could still use the DirectTv subscription from our house to sign into programs for AppleTV. What functionality would I lose if I did this? Thank you! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 23 Dec 2018 09:56 AM PST Question for the group. We bought our ATV 4 a little more than two years ago. We went what felt like a year without charging the remote for the first time. Now when I charge it I get the one of the following outcomes. 1) I get several weeks out of a charge 2) I get several days before the reminder to charge it pops up on the screen It's a 50/50 thing, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it.
