    iPhone weather app doesn't make sense. Based on my 'current location' it's cloudy, but based on a location I manually add, it's raining which is accurate. Same location, 2 different weather readings. Why Reddit?

    Getting this iTunes sync issue with my iPhone SE for a long time now. Tried Deleting backups, Soft resetting the phone. re-installing iTunes. Nothing worked so far.. iTunes Latest Version iOS 12.1 Windows 10 1809

    Scam alert: Phone call claiming "Your iCloud account has been breached"

    I just got a phone call apparently from Apple, a robotic voice sounding vaguely like Siri claiming that my iCloud account has been breached, and to press 1 to be connected to Apple Support.

    I immediately hung up, figuring that (a) scammers can fake other phone numbers in caller ID, so why not 1-800-MYAPPLE? and (b) surely Apple would choose a better way to contact me.

    It turns out these calls are not new, but I've searched this subreddit and not seen any mention of them here, so I wanted to put out the word.

    Sadly, the phone system cannot be trusted anymore, even when it appears to come from somebody you would otherwise trust.

    [Help] Bluetooth Huge audio delay

    I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM2's and they were always fine with my old Android phone (galaxy s8+). AFAIK the software comprehends the delay and plays audio in advance so you can't notice any latency.

    On my iPhones tho I notice a very bad delay. Anything I can do to fix this? Since I know iOS should have the same capability.

    The headphone app says it's using AAC.

    Apple Pay stopped working. Any solution or do I have a hardware problem?

    Out of nowhere, last week my Apple pay stopped working. It was convenient since I'd avoid bringing my wallet when I'd go to parties (am in college). Now, neither my credit or debit cards work and I've tried re-adding them to Apple Wallet.

    Also, it stopped working at more than just 1 place so it's not a problem with that place (mcdonalds, tims, on campus, etc.). I don't remember dropping my phone but could it be a hardware problem? Is there anything else I should try?

    What are good apps to keep a schedule/ Is there any way to swap the Today View with the Lock Screen?

    I have a really big problem with schedules and keeping a routine, and, since I'm always with my iPhone, I see it as the best tool for this. Actually, there are good apps to keep a schedule but the notifications are always too lazy or the apps have long-term payments. As the title says, I'm looking for a good app to do this.

    There are apps like Wunderlist or even the built-in Calendar or Reminder that can do the job pretty well, but since I'm not really used to swap the home screen all the time, I always miss my daily-set appointments. If there is a way to stick the Today View to the Lock Screen (i.e. I see it just by pressing the Home button), it would also solve my problem.

    My last iphone was a 4 running the newly released iOS 7, so it's been awhile. I got tired of Android and I remember iOS being relatively pain free. I just got an iPhone 6s. From what I've seen, iOS12 is pretty impressive. Is there anything I really need to know? Any apps that really stand out? Any tips and tricks?

    App switching accidentally closing music app

    Don't know if this has been posted before as I'm new to the sub, but Apple needs to do something if an app is actively playing music. The amount of times I close Spotify by accident when listening to music is absurd.

    Siri triggered by sound track while watching a film on iPad

    A few days ago I was watching a netflix film on my iPad and Siri got triggered. A word was said that vaguely sound like hey siri. It is the first time that I see this behavior. Did anybody else had the same experience ? This doesn't look right. Could it be possible to trigger Siri remotely through a facetime conversation ? This looks like a possible hack door.

    Watermark on scanned docs with Notes app

    Since when the scanned docs started having this big "Scanned Documents" watermark on top of the page when scanned with the stock notes app and converted to pdf? I don't remember seeing this with iOS11. Also, the scanned pdfs appear smaller when viewed on a computer.

    iOS 12 4 hour passcode option gone?

    Hey I cannot figure out how to make my phone only require my passcode after 4 hours after the latest update. Is this something apple changed without telling us. I hate having to unlock my phone in the night because it locks up to often and can't recognize me in the dark.

    Alternatives to Day One journal app?

    For many years I used the original Day One journal app. I absolutely loved it. Then Dropbox changed their login protocol- and Day One was not updated to use it. So I could no longer sync / backup my journal.

    Day One brought out a second version- but I understand it needs a subscription to sync / backup- which I'm not willing to do. I don't want my journal locked into a propriety system- when I just wan to use Dropbox.

    Anybody recommend a journaling app similar to the original Day One app- which syncs between iPad and iPhone, and utilises Dropbox?

    Need some hearing aid help for my 90 year old Grandpa!

    This is to do with the hearing device feature on iPhones. My grandpa has a pair of Siemens Signia hearing aids. He has an iPhone 6 and an iPad. We call him on the iPhone as he finds it too difficult to hear on the home phone. He also likes to use the iPad, especially for videos which he's pretty good at looking up himself.

    The reason we got these for him was because he could have them play wirelessly into his hearing aids via the hearing device function in iPhones/iPads. When I originally set them up there seemed to be no problem with the hearing aids automatically pulling the sound from either device without having to do anything. Then only one of the devices would pick up and you had to manually turn the Bluetooth off in one so the other one could work in his hearing aids. Intermittently it will switch between them without doing this but not very often. This is annoying as I'd like him to be able to watch his videos on the iPad and then be able to take calls without having to fiddle with settings which is difficult for him to understand.

    To try and mitigate this I've done so many things.. Re-pairing the hearing aids Turned Bluetooth on and off Turned wireless on and off Logged in and out of his iCloud account (both devices are logged into it) Made sure they're on the same wifi connection Audio handoff is turned on Deleted the myControl app (app designed for the hearing aids to control them) Plus other things that I can't remember

    From a Google search it seems like maybe this is caused from software updates but I'm not really sure and we've been having this problem for months now. Does anyone else have any other tips? Please feel free to recommend other subreddits that may be also be helpful. Thank you!
