Posted: 29 Nov 2018 01:49 PM PST I was trying out Paragon APFS for windows software on my PC to read my SSD drive running Mojave (login password protected). This software mounted my internal SSD without any password and I was able to browse through all my files including system files. P.S: I have a Macbook Pro (mid 2012). [link] [comments]

Any way to Automate/Script adding an application to Full Disk Access? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 09:22 AM PST I've been looking around online but haven't found anything that points to whether we can script adding an application to the Full Disk Access list. It's going to suck once we allow upgrading to Mojave if we have to remote into 500+ systems to allow things like CrashPlan and Backblaze Full Disk Access. Has anyone done this, or have confirmation that it can't be done? [link] [comments]
Forcing an Update on Mountain Lion Posted: 29 Nov 2018 08:20 PM PST Hi there. I'm presently mac illiterate but trying to learn. I've got a mid 2012 MacBook pro. I've done the OS reinstall and am trying to get it to update. I seem to get hung up on the EFI Security Update 2015-001. It will start the install, seem to get it completed and then after reboot it searches to find the next one only to want to install the same update again. I've no idea if I'm missing something obvious or not. I am not having much luck trying to manually install the update either as I can't seem to find the file. When I try to just bypass with another further along OS version I can't get to the iTunes store as my version of the OS is too low to access it. I'm definitely scratching my head on this one. I'd love any assistance you can provide. [link] [comments]
Stuck at Full Loading Bar and Apple Logo Macbook Pro 2011 - Mac OS 10.11 Posted: 29 Nov 2018 06:59 PM PST So TL:DR I needed a disc to update from Lion to a newer version. Bought an install disc on amazon and popped it in. Its stuck on a white screen with the apple logo and a full loading bar, its not connected to the internet and its been like this for almost 3 hours now with no change. What can I do to fix this? I'm new to macOs [link] [comments]
Force VPN Connection/auto start? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 02:08 PM PST I seem to be doing a lot of travelling of late and would love to know a way/app/option to be able to auto-connect to VPN (Openvpn) when online. I have to manually do it when I turn on my MBP. Trouble is, I have to be on hotel/public wifi to connect to VPN, so everything (Mail, messages, every-thing) starts updating, and I cringe and want that on my VPN, not public wifi. Can someone provide some insight on how they accomplish same thing? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Nov 2018 05:14 AM PST I am using the bootcamp partition on VMware and when i try to use Unity I get an opening loop. Anyone else has this problem? I also get that windows is not active in VMware but it is active in Bootcamp. https://reddit.com/link/a1h7zr/video/rkfnws7sq9121/player [link] [comments]
macOS mojave, incredibly slow and laggy? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 11:34 AM PST I just upgraded to macOS Mojave on my MacBook Pro 13 inch early 2015, 8GB RAM. I am finding too many issues with it: 1) In the sleep mode, the laptop uses battery. I used to have my tux sessions running for days earlier before the upgrade, now after a weekend in sleep mode, I am unable to boot my laptop because the battery dies. 2) Safari is slow. Sometimes when I press CMD + T to open a new tab, it actually shows me the waiting sign and takes close to 5 seconds to open a new tab. In general, I am finding the safari experience incredibly bulky and laggy and extremely slow. ( This is not always, but if I use Safari for more than 15 minutes continuously, this happens). Is anyone else facing the same problems? Any pointers or work arounds till we get the software upgrade? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Need help removing "MacPerformance" malware from MacOS Mojave. Posted: 29 Nov 2018 03:29 AM PST Kindly help me remove "MacPerformance" malware from my MacBook Air running MacOS Mojave. It is causing irritating pop ups in Chrome and is causing significant CPU usage and battery drain. Kindly provide me a way to manually remove this malware (if there is any). I prefer manual removal methods over using shady and silly Mac clearing apps. Thank you in advance. [link] [comments]
What's the best browser for Mavericks? Posted: 29 Nov 2018 03:46 AM PST I am running Mavericks on my mid2012 MBP and I'm currently using Google Chrome with it. I was wondering though if there are any other browsers that could support this OS. I know Chrome doesn't support it anymore but mine still runs pretty well. I tried Firefox but it gave me the feeling that it drains more battery than Chrome? Also, the version of Safari my mac has is absolute trash. Anything helps, thanks for reading ❤️❤️ [link] [comments] |
