| Trying to ‘trust’ an app/website on iOS 12.1 Posted: 15 Nov 2018 07:08 PM PST I am currently trying to download an app from the internet on the new iOS 12.1. This app will not begin download unless I 'trust' it in the iPhone settings. Every website is telling me to go to Settings > General > Device Management, and then trust the app. When I go into General there is no 'Device Management' option. Did they rid of this in the new update? Is there another way to trust this app? Any help is much appreciated! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 15 Nov 2018 05:31 PM PST Hi, iPhone 6, desperate. I was just looking at Google Maps before my phone literally stopped working. It randomly exited to Activation Lock and after signing back into everything, to the Apple Logo. It stayed there. And stayed there. And stayed there. I tried turning off, on, volume up/down button safe mode tricks, and everything. I tried to go into the recovery mode with iTunes but only got the logo on the screen once and didn't have iTunes installed yet. Any ideas? :/. | Question about taking an HD screenshot from a HD video Posted: 15 Nov 2018 04:25 PM PST So I have a video that is very high quality, and if you pause it and zoom in you can see things in the distance in very high quality. I zoom back out again, take a screenshot of the full picture, but this screenshot isn't saved in the quality that the video was. I understand why this is - because it's just a "print screen" basically a copy of exactly what's on the screen. So zooming in on the resulting photo is just a blur. So my question is, is there a way to take a screenshot of a video that retains all the quality for zooming in? I hope this makes sense and isn't a silly question! [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 15 Nov 2018 03:37 PM PST 2 days ago my 6S started having issues with the screen and with loading times. It has up to a 5 second delay when I try to do something, and it takes significantly longer than usual to load. I can't scroll down to read the comments on Reddit mobile without having the screen freeze. Texting "ok" to a friend took 15 seconds (5 for the o to show up, 5 more for the k, then 5 more for it to actually send after I hit send). Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it does this. The battery was just replaced back in July, and it's still running the original version of iOS 12 that I installed almost 2 months ago. [link] [comments]  |
| Monitor external mic and iPad on headphones Posted: 15 Nov 2018 01:28 PM PST I hope I am right in this subreddit and you can help me. I currently use a Zoom H1 to record speech and simultaneously, but independently an iPad for communication through Facetime. The problem with this setup is that I only have the conversation partners on the headphones, but no monitor of the H1 and therefore my voice. Thus I tried to use the output of the H1 (1) as input for the iPad (R), but additionally get the output of the iPad (G) and the monitor on my headphones – And it worked. At least until I tried replicating the same setup. Even after exchanging all cables, I still get the iPad output and monitor on my ears, but the iPad only uses the internal microphone and not the output of the H1. But if I keep this setup and just remove the adapter in front of the headphones (2) and iPad output, the H1 output will again be used by the iPad as the primary input, but of course I no longer have sound on my headphones. So I'm assuming there's some kind of short-circuit problem. I think all cables and adapters are 3,5 mm TRS except for the "RG" adapter on the iPad which is TRRS to 2xTRS. Can you help me find the bug in this setup, or some other solution? I'm aware that I won't achieve audiophile miracles with this setup, but that's not the purpose either. | My iPhone 6s touch screen sensitivity problems Posted: 15 Nov 2018 07:24 AM PST I just bought a 6s and it has problems detecting my touch. I've tried adjusting the 3D Touch feature, turning 3D Touch off, removing the case I had on it. To no avail. It's either I'm pressing to hard or not hard enough. I'll go to scroll through settings and it will click on something mid swipe or take 3-4 swipes to actually scroll down. When I got to type it doesn't pick up what I press so I'll have to go back and retype my whole message generally. [link] [comments]  |
| Why Siri doesn’t have access to lock my iPhone Posted: 15 Nov 2018 10:52 AM PST Yesterday my friend took my iphone from me while I was typing to a friend of mine, so i tried to take my phone back but I couldn't , so in my mind I thought that if I say hey Siri and I tell her lock my phone. Can she lock it. I was confused so today I said hey Siri lock my iPhone and she said sorry I cannot, is there any switch that can provide access to her to lock my iPhone? [link] [comments]  |
| Podcast Marking Episodes as “Played” Posted: 15 Nov 2018 09:43 AM PST My podcasts have not even marking themselves as played after I finish them. It's extremely difficult to keep track of episodes I have listened to. Recently I was messing around with the setting and turned auto play off. The episode I listened to after that change is now (and the only one) to be marked as "Played". Is that what marks them? How to I change the hundreds of previously played episodes to played? | Battery Drain on Standby Airplane Mode Posted: 15 Nov 2018 07:47 AM PST Purchased a used iPhone 7 Plus from a family friend sight unseen. Exterior looked pristine. Immediately after receiving it, I performed a complete reset and charged it up to 100%. I haven't installed the SIM card yet at this point. I left it idle for about 12 hours and noticed the battery drained down to 52%. I charged it up fully again and left it idle for another 12 hours with airplane mode on this time. Still had the battery drain 50%. I'm on iOS 12.1 with no apps installed (other than the stock apps). Background refresh and screen time are turned off. Battery health check shows it at 86%. I'm probably going to bring it into an Apple store to have the battery replaced, but could this be caused by another issue? [link] [comments]  |
