    With the bricking due to 5.1, is it time Apple introduced a DFU mode for Apple Watch?

    I'm without my watch due to the 5.1 update failing, and it seems very un-Apple to have to send the device away for a week or more due to a software update issue (No Apple Stores where I live). It surely can't be that hard to implement a DFU update for the Watch - hold down buttons and the watch goes into a mode where it's listening via Bluetooth for a Phone willing to reflash it?

    Several of us commented yesterday on decreased battery life after installing 5.1. Today, mine is even worse than yesterday. I went to bed with my watch at 100% charge and it was at 93% upon awakening. However, after two hours of exercise (riding my recumbent trike indoors on rollers, with Bluetooth connection to my phone, with Workout and Cyclemeter apps running, and Heart Analyzer & Cardiogram in the background), the watch is down to 47%. I look at my phone while I ride but my watch stays dark.

    I have put it back on the charger... :-(

    How do I get my watch to recognize my birthday and do the floating balloon thing? I've had an Apple watch since the Series 0 and mine has never notified me. I didn't even know it did that until I saw someone mention it here. TIA!

    At one point i had Sleep Watch on my Infograph watch face on my S4. But now I can't find it when selecting the complications. Any idea if I can do something to make it appear again?

    Using new colour face with apple logo.. odd how outlook and iMessage complications work on this and not modular. Nice clean look!

    I went through the Watch app on my phone to try to set it up but on my watch it's the one with dials and complications. On my app is the full color face but on my watch it's the dialed version with complications

    I'm one of those that got struck by the update/brick.

    I'm curious how folks are 'dealing with' and 'reacting' to their loss while their device is in for service, and what plans, if any, folks have.

    Me, I miss knowing the time and weather, instantly. I regret that I've become dependent to the volume control/skip/next buttons for my music. My plans; I hope to get another smaller less expensive and perhaps older version of an AW as a backup/just in case/sleep watch.

    Lastly; my rings, my precious rings :-)

    Apple Watch frozen on logo...held the side button and crown down til logo disappeared and it came back on and it’s still frozen like this. It did this yesterday but eventually showed the time but it was wrong. Please help. I am naked without this working. Don’t have the funds for another one. Ser. 2

    Series 1 won’t give me haptic notification when receiving text messages.

    It will give me haptic feedback for Facebook messenger, Sugar sense, phone calls and many other apps. But no matter what I do it will not give me haptic feedback for iMessages/ text messages.

    Am I missing something? Has this happened to anyone else? Can someone help me fix this?

    I just realized why I like my Apple Watch

    So I just realized why I like my Apple Watch and why the internet connected ones must be so much better.

    I primarily use my watch as an "alert filter". Meaning - I can have two sets of alerts and I can ignore one of them. I have my phone set with push notifications from all the bullshit on my phone. So and so requested to follow you on Instagram, such and such event is this week on Facebook, todays news, thunderstorms predicted for this weekend, etc. On my watch though I only get important ones. Text messages. Calendar pop ups. Reminders. Missed phone calls.

    It allows me to separate the two so that I'm not constantly getting distracted checking all that other nonsense but can still stay reachable and get important alerts. It lets me stay away from my phone and so I can "disconnect" a little bit more.

    Now I'm jealous of you people that can just leave the phone at home though.
