Posted: 29 Oct 2018 09:52 PM PDT Apple's website has all the info: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208137 Basically with a USB-PD charger your phone can ask for more current and voltage. It'll switch from USB's usual 5 volts to 9 volts and then can take 2 amps at 9v for a total of 18 Watts! I got a USB-C power meter to actually measure this. You see the biggest difference when your battery is very low since only when it's low can it handle more current. You do have to buy the expensive Apple only USB-C to Lightning cable. With that any good USB-C PD charger will do. I got the 30W charger from Anker and it's great. The charger can provide 30W, but your iPhone will only ever use 18W max. (The cool thing about using more voltage is that it doesn't require a thicker cable. Generally, i think it's increased amperage requires thicker wires with more copper. Your usb cable might melt at 4 amps...but by switching to 9volts and using just 2 amps the same cable that only supported 10W at 5volts, can now support 18W! (Wattage = voltage * amperage)) edit: since people have asked, here's links to what you need:

Posted: 30 Oct 2018 05:09 AM PDT Just upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an Xr yesterday. Today when I got to the gym I tried to pair my JayBirds with my new phone but they don't even show up under Bluetooth devices. Why wouldn't my new phone be able to see them? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2018 10:21 PM PDT For a slim sorta case I use the Apple Silicone and for a rugged/big/protection case I use the Otterbox Symmetry when at work and worried I might drop the girl. Just curious on what you guys use and do you think slim cases offer good drop protection or nah? [link] [comments]
