I have a similar situation as shown in the pinned post with my 6S+. Dark spot at the top left corner of the screen. I heard that this happened to a lot of the iphones with LCD.

Face ID question: Does anyone use MFA or an MFA app for work?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 08:49 AM PDT

Curious about how the experience has been. I usually auth via my watch and that has saved me from needing to touch my phone so many times a day, but curious if anyone else needs to use MFA via Face ID for work related activities, and if so, how that is working for you.

    Thanks!!

Portrait mode : any way to "fix" non-background being blurred? Example cat pic included

Example pictured : cat's top whispers blurred into the background

I tried playing with the blur slider but unless I remove all the blur I haven't had any luck. On iPhone XS if that matters. Thanks!

    Apps are not automatically updating

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 07:08 AM PDT

I have my phone set to update apps automatically but this isn't happening. I have to go to the App Store and hit "update all" …and sometimes I have to refresh that page just to get it to give me the option to update all.

It would be nice if setting apps to update automatically meant the phone would automatically update the apps over night when it plugged in, connected to WiFi, and not being used.

App that works like night mode on Huawei P20 Pro?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 04:02 AM PDT

My friend has the p20 pro and the night mode on the camera is great because of how it processes the photos. It gauges the current light condition, takes photos in multiple exposures, and then layers them on top of each other to get some great night shots. The process sometimes takes up to 20 seconds but the results are fantastic. I haven't been able to replicate without some heavy post processing with multiple photos. It seems like this is mostly software so I'm wondering if there's an app that can do something similar? I'm not talking about just having control of the exposure, which apps like halide or pro camera can do, but actually helps you take multiple photos and layer them for you quickly

    Example of 16-18 second process

Replacement iPhone X new or refurb?

    Posted: 09 Oct 2018 07:52 AM PDT

I have a replacement phone coming from apple express replacement under standard warranty. They charged me $29 for the replacement and put a hold on my card for over a $900 Customer service told me the phone would be new and not a refurbished unit. Is this true? I heard they only send refurbished units.
