Note: I'm from the US so I can't confirm if it's working.

Some portions of the article (Google translated):

    Magic of the QR code

An eSIM-enabled device, such as the Apple iPhone XS (Max) and iPhone XR, is capable of activating an eSIM like magic: holding a cell phone camera to a QR code and playing the mobile phone tariff on the eSIM of the phone. The new iPhone can remember several eSIM profiles (tariffs / phone numbers), but only one eSIM profile can be used.

T-Mobile eSIM allows two numbers on an iPhone

The nano SIM slot of the new iPhone can be used for a second number, while on vacation for a foreign number or remain empty. As always, new devices at T-Mobile and tele.ring without SIM lock, even without the eSIM lock on the operator.

The dual SIM will be released later this year by software update, according to Apple. Once the update is installed, the feature can be used by T-Mobile and tele.ring customers on their new iPhone XS (Max) and iPhone XR. Until then, the eSIM feature is now available to iOS developers with a T-Mobile or tele.ring plan in the iOS 12.1 test environment. (emphasis added by me).

Use private or business mobile phone tariffs with eSIM

In the "My T-Mobile" and "My tele.ring" service portal, private and business customers can easily and simply switch their existing mobile tariff to eSIM (scan the QR code) to use it with an eSIM-enabled device of their choice. Alternatively, the QR code is printed out in the T-Mobile shop.

The conversion of an existing tariff to eSIM and the use of eSIM is free. T-Mobile and tele.ring calling card tariffs as well as UPC Mobile tariffs can not be used with eSIM.

[Discussion] TouchID starts working again after recent update, replaced screen 3 months ago

    Posted: 24 Oct 2018 09:03 AM PDT

I replaced the screen to my iPhone 6 plus, which resulted in the TouchID feature to stop working. After installing the most recent beta however, TouchID started working again. I remember reading before that apple had something to do with deactivating TouchID after the screen or parts were replaced, maybe they had a change of heart and are now allowing people to fix things themselves (at least on older iPhones) or do people think this is just a beta thing?

I am on beta 1 right now and battery is pretty horrible for iPhone 7 Plus. Would upgrading to 5 help me any? Thanks

[Bug] Notes not syncing on 12.1 beta 5?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2018 01:54 PM PDT

[EDIT] tl;dr never mind, looks like Notes is actually down according to https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ . Leaving this up in case anyone comes here wondering why their notes aren't syncing. Mods, feel free to remove.

[Original] Is anyone else having the issue where Notes completely fails to sync on the latest beta? For instance, if you disable iCloud syncing of notes and then reenable it, your notes won't come back, and you'll be stuck with no notes.
