iPhoneX Photos with iPhone XS Max camera look somewhat blurred?

Photos with iPhone XS Max camera look somewhat blurred?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2018 09:00 AM PDT

I'm not sure if this is me not knowing how to use the phone, or if my camera is a little messed up. I'm coming from the iPhone 6 Plus, so this phone is definitely a little change for me.

My photos I take on the front facing camera come out blurred, almost like there's an added filter on it that's making me look face tuned in the worst way. I see photos all over the internet where people's front facing photos look so incredibly Hi-RES and amazing, but mine just aren't and I have no idea why!

The Snapchat camera is also looking very blurry, but I am going to assume that is because Snapchat hasn't optimized for the new screen size just yet. Can anyone help me figure this out? I'd really like to take advantage of this phone's amazing camera.

    Thank you!

Anybody else’s iPhone X stop fast charging at 80%?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2018 12:51 AM PDT

Fast charging is amazing, but I find it stops at 80% every single time. Kind of a bummer, but I'm guessing it is to prolong battery life span. Are all devices the same? Wonder if a jailbreak tweak can turn it off...

Have to Type in my password

    Posted: 30 Sep 2018 11:30 AM PDT

I got an iPhone X a few weeks ago and every 2 days or so FaceID doesn't work when the phone was just laying on the table and I have to type in my password. The phone did not reboot in that timeframw, so that could not have been the issue. Is this normal behavior?

Wireless charger that can charge from further distance?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 08:00 PM PDT

We have two of these ravpower wireless chargers. They work great with the cases we have, which are farely think. Otterbox Symmetry and Spigen tough armor.

The issue my girlfriend is having is that she bought a popsocket. On her case it looks sort of like this one, but she has it closer to the bottom of the phone and not directly in the middle. We tried adjusting it and the only spot it could wireless charge was way at the bottom, which made the popsocket unusable.

So I'm curious if anyone has tried other brands/models of wireless chargers and have found any that can charge from a further distance from the pad.

Fast charging works for 5 seconds after iOS 12 update

    Posted: 30 Sep 2018 05:26 AM PDT

Posting this a little late, but shortly before the new update, I charged my iPhone X so it could update to iOS 12 asap. Everything went fine and I was able to use my phone without charging until the next evening. Plugged it in when it was completely empty, said it was charging and shortly after it booted. I let it be, did my things and when I figured it had enough battery already, I unplugged it only to find out it did not charge. Thought maybe the adapter came loose, but after checking everything twice and using different power outlets, it never charged any longer than 5 seconds. Still does not. Regular charger works fine though. Using both Apple's own 29w adapter and lightning to usb-c.

Tried using different outlets, even at different households, charging while it has decent amount of battery already, low power mode on/off, nothing seems to work.

Iphone X creaking noises when pressing on the back.

    Posted: 30 Sep 2018 04:16 AM PDT

Is this normal? I just contacted Apple to send it in and see what it's about. Basically when I grab my phone with my fingers and I press where the apple logo is on the back while holding with another finger on the display it starts making creaking noises, like it's a old plastic phone.

    Losing cellular connection (Verizon)

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 06:23 PM PDT

At least once a day my phone completely loses its cellular connection. I try turning cellular off then back on and putting the phone in airplane mode/taking it out and nothing works. A reboot always fixes the issue. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Battery health took months to drop to 99%, then randomly dropped to 97% in days?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2018 04:56 PM PDT

As the title states, my battery only just recently dropped to 99% after months (6 months) of very heavy use. I usually check my battery health every few days or at least once a week just out of curiosity. I noticed that it dropped to 97% rather quickly, in the span of no greater than a week. I haven't changed any usage/charging habits, so why did it randomly drop 2% in days, when it took half a year to drop 1%? Could it have been the iOS 12 update? Thanks.
