    Starting now, we won't be approving posts that are questions or anything help-related resulting from iOS 12. Keeping everything in a megathread reduces the amount of help posts and one-sentence questions on the front page.

    Posts critisizing or praising iOS 12/iPhones are fine. Feature explanations/requests are fine.

    I don't really have a whole lot of friends, but I'm really excited and wanted to share. I know everyone has been uploading awesome pictures of their new XS phones and mine is only a measly 7 Plus, but I'm so excited. Been an Android user my whole life and I'm making the switch - it'll be here tomorrow. I love my iPad Pro so much that I thought an iPhone would go great with it! Any advice or tips for a new iPhone 7 plus user? I know it's a super old phone now, but I'm hoping to at least get a couple years out of it!

    I'm still trying to figure out a way to get a clear pic of this. I removed True Tone for the comparison. My wife's XS is closer to my X color wise.

    Apollo has been updated and is now optimised for the iPhone X�� max. Comparison shots show just how much more content the max can display. Other app developers should optimise their apps for the max so we can fully enjoy the bigger screen.

    So i just got an iPhone Xs and was intending to buy some AirPods with it. I honestly thought they would announce AirPods 2 at the September iPhone event. But since they didn't, should I just buy the first gen, or wait until the second gen. I have heard rumours of a spring 2019 release, is it worth the wait?

    After seeing someone else’s post about LTE speeds increasing I decided to test it myself. On my iPhone X (previous iPhone) I was getting max 35mbps download. I’m very impressed.

    Hi,

    I am currently a Google Pixel user and I really love the Camera.

    I have a MacBook Pro and this thing is great, I really love it for my work. In addition to that, I think that Apps are much better on iOS than on Android. On the other side I love the Google services, they have a punch of great software features.

    Can you tell me, if I would regret to going to the iPhone XS instead of the Pixel 3? How are the Google Apps on iPhone? Are there additional things I need to consider?

    For those of you who use a clear phone case, do you replace it when it inevitably turns yellow?

    I love the look of the gold XS but can't bear going caseless so I thought a clear case would be a good compromise... though I know it'll turn yellow eventually. I might look to replace it but it seems rather wasteful (and gets expensive).

    For the people who also use a clear case, do you run it to the ground or replace it when it starts looking grubby?

    Kids games that use front camera of iPhone X /XS

    My niece absolutely loves the Animoji's in iMessage. Is there any games that take advantage of the same camera tech she could play with?

    It seems like magic to her that it tracks her face. She is always wanting to play with the "animals" on my phone.

    LTE speeds increased after resetting network settings. I previously had an iPhone 7+ and would get 14-20 mbps on LTE and even when I upgraded to the XS max I was getting around the same. I reset my network setting last night and this is what I came away with now....

    Easy way to determine what new iOS features are compatible with older iPhones?

    What new iOS features are available on older versions of iPhone? Every time I update, it is a mystery of what features are actually available to me so is there any easy way to know? I wanted to know if I can use the measuring app with iPhone 7, what about iPhone 8? The customized emoji feature? Yes, I can't animate it but can I still make a custom faces like Bitmoji? Any other features I can't use? Questions such as this are so hard to answer just by googling. All articles are garbage with titles such as "Everything you need to know about iOS 12" except they all assume that you have iPhone X or they just say iPhone.

    Gave the XS Max and the XS a try but...

    For the first time in many many years I'm experiencing what I've had in this past 5 days.

    So launch day I picked up the XS Max. Used it for 3 days, found it to be big n heavy compared to the X. Returned it and got the XS. Now it's been 2 days on the XS and I really don't see the difference in upgrading from the X. Yes agreed the camera is better and the processor is A12, etc but in my day to day routine I'm seeing no difference with all those upgrades this year.

    So here I am really thinking hard of returning the XS and sticking with the X for another year. I've been an apply fanboy for years now and got every apple product in my house.

    It totally makes sense for folks upgrading from the 6 series, 7 series and even 8 series iPhones but for users who've had the X, this really is not their worthwhile.

    Just my .02 cents.
